Where to stay in Charlotte (NC)
Charlotte (NC) hotels & accommodations

I stayed at this hotel because it was 1 of only 2 in this area of Charlotte where I needed to be. The room is well equipped for a long stay with a larger refrigerator, Iron and ironing board, safe, wifi, microwave, and coffee maker, very large and comfortable and everything worked well.

The hotel is well placed in downtown (or uptown as they call it in Charlotte!). We were there over Memorial weekend so it was busy. We had noisy neighbouring rooms on 2 nights which we had to complain about, but the hotel staff were very efficient and sorted it out. We were also adequately compensated for our disturbance.

The room was dirty and had roaches. We found a toothbrush under the ac (which barely kept the room comfortable), and a plastic bag on the closet shelf, not sure what was in it, something yellow that seemed to be semi-solid. I gave it 2 stars for value because the bed was comfortable. "Free wi-fi", which we never could make it work, even after calling the help number....

The place was clean; the lobby smelled like strawberries, the elevator didn't stink and neither did the hallway. My room had a single king bed which kinda overtook the room and made it seem smaller than it actually was. The bed was a bit firm but surprisingly comfortable. There wasn't enough covering on the bed so I couldn't run the a/c all night but the room didn't ge...

We loved the Dunhill for our short weekend getaway. We were visit g Charlotte for a friend’s birthday and chose this hotel. Our room and the hotel were lovely, clean and elegantly decorated. We were within walking distance of the restaurant and nightclub we were going to be visiting that evening which made it incredibly convenient. Only con was we could hear someone’s ...

The location is perfect for a visit to the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, it is less than a minute walk door to door. The Hyatt is a beautiful facility and immaculately maintained. The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Every member of the staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming, looked neat and were very professional. I now have to agree with most reviews ...

Exceptional hotel and staff. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and always went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Chris at they front desk was amazing! I would definitely recommend staying at the Hyatt Place Downtown to anyone for business or vacation.

Staff stood out the most, very cordial and helpful. Ms Stephanie at the front desk and the lady (didn't get her name) working the kitchen great personality. Always a smile and asking if there's anything I needed. The only cons were the bathroom faucet was loose and shower exhaust fan wasn't working.

We picked this hotel to evacuate to for Hurricane Matthew. It allowed us to bring our cats, and the pet rate was not bad. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The cleaning staff was wonderful. Breakfast was ok, but it was included with the room. There are several restaurants close by, and a mall a few miles away. All in all we had a good stay.

The price we paid was not justified. That place is a ruin. Paint is chopped off all over, even inside the elevator. Bed, however, was confortable. Will do whatever I can never to return there. The reason we ended up there was because they said on the internet there were picking up people from the airport 24/7. Returning them to the airport was a different matter as t...

Very noisy (which is fine if you yourself party up to 2/3 am!) and very uncomfortable bedding/towels. I personally value comfort over many things so was a bit bummed out. The staff however were very helpful, friendly and kind. So if you're in Charlotte to party/don't mind noise, forget all this and give it 6 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for a more relaxed time, p...

What a wonderful stay my husband and 2 other friends had at this hotel. We had a welcoming person as the receptionist. She was a social person ( sorry I did not get her name but she said she had only been at her job a month or so- what a great choice you made , Drury Inn Administrative staff) She made us feel like we made the right decision staying here. They had gr...

Pros: Room was clean, bathroom was clean, awesome location, upscale for the value paid, the renovations are very nice, free HOT breakfast, walking distance from places, parking is good Cons: thin walls, don't get a room near the front desk, some people are loud, you can hear upstairs if you're on the 1st floor I will definitely be returning, the value was well worth ...
Cheap places to stay in Charlotte (NC)

This hotel was a convenient place to go. It's located 5-minute drive from the airport, provides a shuttle and a daily parking option for a trip (similar to an airport lot), and has restaurants nearby. The heater was an old-fashioned wall unit, continental breakfast was the usual breads and cereals.

Country Inn & Suites Charlotte University Place has some incredible things going for it. To start at check in we were introduced to “Z” Ziaul. This man was a pleasure to interact with. He quickly processed our check in even though he was being harassed by a difficult series of phone calls and unreasonable demands of other guests. He was completely professional througho...

Pro-The smoking, and non-smoking are in separate floors. Which is great! Con-If you have to get a smoking room people have put the cigs out on the toilets, and the side of the tub. Overall the room was clean. Smoking was all that was available at the time, but it wasn't bad.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Carpet has about reached the end of it's useful life but hides the stains well. Breakfast was included. Holy heck that was the worst selection of food I've ever seen at a hotel! Might as well just get rid of it. Coffee, granola bars and instant oats. That was it! no juice, cereal, milk, bread, fruit, ....anything. Pat...

The stay was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the room (large and very clean) and the free car parking. They can really improved on the breakfast. I advise them to benchmark with other similar hotels. The quality and diversity of the breakfast is important and they are below the standards in this regards.

My wife and I traveled down to Charlotte from NYC to scout out places to move to. We were on a strict budget and after endless searches, based on the reviews and the location we choose Microtel for $150 for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. NO BUGS! The hotel is next to a lot of food/restaurant c...

My husband and I were only in town for one night for a show. We didn't plan on spending much time in the room and didn't want to spend a lot of money on one. The room was nicer than I had expected and very clean. The staff was friendly and we were only a 5 minute drive from up/downtown Charlotte!
