"We are traveling from Tampa to Chicago and needed an overnight half way. Chose Baymont for location (5 minutes off I75) , price and pool. Couldn't use the pool because of Covid19, so wanted to relax after driving 10 hours!!! The room smelled moldy, the tv remote did not work, there was a broken chair and the sink was cracked in several places. The air conditioner was old and loud and most likely needed a new filter. Called front desk and told them the issues, asked for a different room and the said all rooms are the same and have been updated. Guess they were referring to the new flooring!!!! They sent someone with a new tv control. He was not wearing a mask and the control was not sanitized. I proceeded to sanitize everything and settled in. On the pros, the bed was comfortable, plenty pillows, tv was updated and restaurants within 5 min. I did wake uo with a nasty headache probably from the moldy smell. Will not be going back"

"We paid nearly the same amount of money for a clean and comfortable room at Best Western, so I was expecting a comparable product. There were stains on the paper thin sheets that they have probably been using since the fifties. Same with the pillows. The pillowcases were so paper thin I could see the brown, lumpy, ancient pillow without a protector, caked with decades of other peoples sweat, sebum, and skin cells. There was a stain atop the refrigerator that proved the room had not even been wiped down after the last guests, and an old discarded toilet paper roll and covering was jammed into the back of a partially used one that was left for us. I don't believe this room had even been cleaned. Beds made only. I stayed once at a Scottish Inn and I thought that was the most terrible hotel experience of my 35 years but I was proven wrong after my stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Chattanooga. The person working the front desk was very nice, though."
