Stay with Nimman Chiang Mai
Nimmanhemin,Chiang Mai - View on map
"Stay with Nimman was the best hotel we stayed at throughout our travels around Thailand. The price was amazing for such a great quality place. Everything in our room, from the sheets to the bathroom, was spotless. And free minibar and waters? Yes! It is a bit of a walk to old town, but it is easy to take one of those red trucks. Also, there is a lot to do around Stay with Nimman as it is a more modern growing location. A must try in Chiang Mai is khao soi noodles!"

The Inside House
Old City,Chiang Mai - View on map
"This hotel ( They call themselves a House because they want guests to feel like home, and they made it) is a true gem! It is a brand new hotel, but they made the building to look like it was built during the colonial time. The design is just simply elegant and luxurious. Besides the beauty of the hotel I found outside, the service is also amazing from 'inside' - all smiles everywhere. I enjoyed the complimentary afternoon snack they serve daily at their Ghin restaurant. The minibar in the room is also free. The breakfast was just superb - with so many choices. What I like the most is their private pool suite which is so nice and relaxing! My waterfall pool suite has outdoor bathtub and shower area and a waterfall ! (I've paid for an upgrade to the pool suite) I believe that this is the only hotel in Chiang Mai old town that has private pool suites ( total 14 pool suites I guess ). Do not want to leave, but I will see you again soon :) "

Panviman Chiangmai Spa Resort
Mae Rim,Chiang Mai - View on map
"we arrived late at night to panviman and we regret that we only had 12 hours of stay in this extremely beautiful hotel. first, our room, even though we had to walk up 4 floors, we were happy and was amazed by the room and its facilities. however the best comes in the morning when we took a walk around. the breakfast was great and the outdoor workout facility is very nice. we tried to book for the spa however it was fully booked as we were too late. however we were able to go around the spa area and it was very beautiful. the swimming pool was amazing and the meditation cave was one of a kind. i simply say: panviman is one of the best 5 stars hotel in chiang mai."

NORN Boutique Hotel
Nimmanhemin,Chiang Mai - View on map
"There is nothing I can complaint, this hotel has everything you need. The 1st thing I want to highlight is their mattress is very soft, pillow is perfect for me too, super comfortable, I had very good sleep. 2nd, the room design and room facility are better than my expectation. All rooms have hair dryer, 2 nice and soft bathrobe that reaches 5 star hotel level, safety box, mini fridge, and air purifier is already set up in all rooms! You can also get unlimited free bottles of water, free coffee and tea station at the lobby. The room is in Japanese design, simple and beautiful, there are plenty of space to open the luggage. In addition, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect! There are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance (for japanese food lover, must try Sushi Umai!!!), also Spa and ATM machine nearby. There is nothing i could ask for more. They deserves 9.4 score in Agoda. Highly highly recommend for couple, leisure, and family traveller."

Furama Chiang Mai
Huay Kaew,Chiang Mai - View on map
"This big hotel has 17 floors and it is quite modern and luxurious. The rooms are way bigger than is normal in hotels in Chiang Mai. Our room on the 16th floor had a great view, and was just one floor below the rooftop where there is also a pool. There is another pool and a small gym on the 5th floor. There are some restaurants in the hotel, and two on the rooftop, of which one has a live band playing most nights. The cocktails that are served are also not bad. It is not located in the old centre of Chiang Mai but more close to the hipper and newer Niman neighborhood. A lot of restaurants, bars and shops can be found here. It is also on the way to Doi Suthep. All in all, I was very satisfied and I did not expect to have such a great time at a big chain hotel."

B2 Nimman Hotel
Nimmanhemin,Chiang Mai - View on map
"I was excited to stay here since I noticed the construction a few months ago. I travel to chiang Mai frequently and like to stay at different hotels for variety. This B2 is part of a large chain that caters to boutique and business travelers. The rooms at this b2 are well furnished. Most importantly, the bed is comfortable. The bathroom size is adequate but I would have preferred a shower curtain or door to separate the toilet space from the shower. (So many hotels here don't have these.) The TVs are new but there channels only included one English language option. I stayed in both a superior and a deluxe room. In deluxe, you get a bathrobe, slippers, a shower door and a bench at the end of the bed. In superior, you don.t get the robes, slippers or shower door. You DO get a desk and small sitting area. If you expect to have visitors or need a workspace, definitely get the superior room. The are only 3 rooms per floor and each floor has its own wifi router. Signal strength was good in both rooms but forget about streaming video. Maybe the bandwidth is low. Otherwise i was pleased with the connection compared to someother hotels. The biggest complaint is the lack of lighting. These rooms are dark. The walls are dark concrete and the furniture is also dark. It's a really nice modern look but the lamps do not provide enough light early in the morning or at night. Daylight hours are fine because there are plenty of windows. Overall, a very nice place."

Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai
Nimmanhemin,Chiang Mai - View on map
"One of the best hotel in Chiang Mai. Beautiful suite and very clever layout. During my stay I hardly want to leave the room because it was so comfortable and the view of the mountain was amazing. The downside of facing the mountain is that it also directly faces the flight path of planes taking off from the nearby airport. The suite was so well designed that we could hardly hear the sound of plane from the bedroom."

B2 Black Hotel

"Room was clean and spacey, plus bonus mountains view. All good and we really enjoyed our stay, only its downside was the towels which are quite old and didn't look pleasant to use, it might be the time to replace with the new ones. Anyway, overall is good. And we will be back again if we visit Chiang Mai."

Art Mai Gallery Nimman Hotel Chiang Mai
Nimmanhemin,Chiang Mai - View on map
"The Art Mai Gallery Nimman Hotel is located a block from Nimmanhaemin Road in Chiang Mai, a short drive from the airport. The area features many restaurants and shops. The Maya Shopping Center is a short walk away. Our room at the third floor, which featured Pop Art, was compact but adequately sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was well designed and relatively large. The room was excellently soundproofed. Despite looking out at the road, we heard almost no street noise. The staff was warm and welcoming. The front desk was well organized and easily able to answer our questions. The restaurant staff did an excellent job handling the busy morning buffet breakfast. Rather than have egg dishes on the buffet, servers take orders and have them individually prepared. We enjoyed viewing the paintings in the art gallery. Our friends in Chiang Mai had no problem finding the hotel. However, it is a 15 to 20 minute ride by tuk-tuk into the center of the old town where many of the temples and museums are located. Nonetheless, we would recommend this well-run hotel to friends, especially if they wish to stay near Nimmanhaemin Road or Chiang Mai University. "

More about Chiang Mai

Located in the north of Thailand, Chiang Mai is the country’s second largest and second oldest city. As such, it provides an excellent base from which to discover the culture of Thailand. Hundreds of temples are scattered throughout, and anywhere visitors go, they are sure to see pagodas peeking up over the tree line. Visible from all over the city, Doi Suthep Mountain features the most dignified temple of the area on the fringe of the city center.

Shopping is certainly an option here, especially for those looking for handicrafts, delicate carvings, silk, and original artwork. Other than the typical tourist finds of shopping and popular sites, guests can also really immerse themselves in the city by enrolling in cooking, language, yoga, or massage classes. Guided meditation retreats to mountain monasteries, trips to conservation projects such as the Elephant Nature Park, and homestays in remote hill-tribe villages are also very popular for visitors of Chiang Mai.

In the evenings, international restaurants and nightclubs can be found throughout the town. Riverside clubs, the hostess bars of Loy Kroh, and the ultra-chic lounges on Nimmanhemin Road all provide fantastic opportunities to celebrate the memorable experiences gained while in Chiang Mai.

Those traveling to Chiang Mai will be served by Chiang Mai International Airport.
