"hotel is located at Alishan hotel area(the place you alight after taking the bus from Chiayi station). So, location is superb! Easy access to all the places of interest within Alishan. Room comes with hair dryer and good wifi connection. Would have had no complaints about the hotel except for the fact that there was a dead moth rolled up within the blanket provided. Also, heater for shower is turned on from 4pm-8am (but hot water was still available at around 10am). Generally, a very conveniently located and comfortable hotel! "

"Upon checking in, they offered free upgrade from standard double room to luxury double room, featuring two king beds and extra spaces - the largest I’ve stayed in Taiwan. The breakfast was impressive, with selections of hot and continental food, and even Chiayi chicken rice (you have to DIY though). I really liked the Chinese style hot food available there."

"The hotel is quite new, the room I had was lovely with good facilities and a nice city view. The buffet breakfast enjoyed in the bright 5th floor cafe is very nice. It is only a 10mn walk from TRA Chiayi Station or the bus terminal, and there is a free parking 3mn from the hotel by foot. The only problem during my stay was an occasional bad smell from the bathroom plumbing. "

"The hotel lobby and room hallway were so modern. I stayed on 9th floor and the design was all about dinosaur. The room was so clean and they had a complete set of shower kit. Unlike other hotels in Taiwan, this one had a really bright room. Though they didn't have window, it didn't matter because the view wasn't that good. It's close to Chiayi train station, only 3 minutes walk. The breakfast was so common, such as Chinese style breakfast and bread n butter. Their service was excellent. Once my mom left her phone after checked-out of the hotel, when she realized the hotel clerk accompanied me to the room and help me look for it. Lucky I found it! Overall, this hotel is worth the price. "

"We were quite surprised when we stepped out the hotel lift at 11th floor located at a building which looks old to us and saw a nice hotel lobby which is quite spacious and well decorated with nice view of the Chiayi city including the train station. The hotel is well located just opposite Chiayi train station and coach station where train or buses can be caught to Alishan. The 4 beded room is very spacious though the window requires urgent cleaning. The breakfast provided was simple but yet good enough for a start of the day. Overall, it is value for money to stay in YOYO hotel."

"We booked Country Hotel in Chiayi City so that we can travel to Alishan (west) and DongShih/Budai (east, port area). It is cheap and because we flew in via Taipei, we took the High Speed Railway (HSR) from Taipei to Chiayi. The HSR Chiayi is located far away from Chiayi City but you can enjoy the free bus from HSR Chiayi to Chiayi Railway Station. Since the hotel is near Chiayi Railway Station it is a plus. We rented a car to enable us to go to these places and parking is available in the Hotel but there are only 6 parking lots. Unless you are driving there, it is not a problem. Morning breakfast is good with a lot of Asian varieties (e.g. fried rice, porridge, 'lu-roe fan' braised porky rice, fried eggs, pickles vegetables, etc). However there is no international meals. The room is small for both of us but we are not complaining as the bed is comfortable. The toilet is clean and right sized. There is a cafe/7-E in front of the hotel which opens until the wee hours. Really enjoy staying there. Friendly staff "
