Chicago (IL) hotels & accommodations

Everything about the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago is at the same time opening, excellent, and lay back. Check in and check out are as easy as opening a refrigerator. Staff is always "at your service" but never "in your face." Staying here is like staying with family.

Nice hotel in a very central location in Chicago. On 40m off Michigan Avenue, which is where you wanna shop Good and clean hotel in decent condition. Nice and cozy bar area. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is very helpfull, both on questions regarding the hotel but also on what to see in the city, where to eat and so on. West Egg Cafe around the corner is Ch...

It is very nice to stay as outlet is close and shuttle bus stop is close. Also airport shuttle is good. It is far from downtown, thus we can use outlet shuttle to get metro to go downtown, which takes 1hr. If time is available, recommend to stay here.

From the amazing location to the friendliness of the staff, this hotel was great for visiting Chicago and wanting to be near all the touristy spots. Of course there are lots of other hotels in Chicago depending on what you are planning on doing/seeing, but Hotel Felix was nearby most of the attractions we were in town to see and it was easy to get to and from.

The staff (front desk, doorman, cleaning), rooms (spacious, clean, quiet, styled) , fitness center (spacious, new equipment), bar (great Happy Hour!) and location (walking distance to great restaurants)...welcomes you from when you initially arrive and when returning from a long business day. A great "go to" hotel whenever visiting Chicago!

The hotel is located right next to the Chicago O'Hare International Airport. It is convenient for travellers who are stopping over in Chicago for a day or two. For me, I had just come off a long-haul international flight. It was easy for me to get to the hotel and take a rest after the long travel. The reception was very friendly. The staff greeted me personally and g...

The hotel was beautiful and clean, the access in and out was super easy and the staff was amazingly kind and helpful. If any of them was having a bad day, you’d never know. The maintenance guy that came up and swapped out our mini fridge was efficient and kind as well. Beautiful view of the city and water as well!! It was nice not being blocked by any other buildings (...

It was very cheap for a Chicago hotel inside the city. Good walking distance to Chinatown and McCormick Center (20min). The staff was friendly and had no issues getting checked in and checked out. The room itself isn't the highest of qualities, but it's really good for the price. The only issue was that the dispenser labeled "shampoo" dispensed body wash while the dis...

From our arrival to departure the Omni Chicago shined. The staff was helpful, but not intrusive. The suite was clean, spacious and well designed. We had a delicious breakfast at the restaurant before a busy day at the museums. The pool and hot tub provided a few moments of needed relaxation at the end of the day. We will be back.

Stayed for 5 days for the Cirobe Book Fair in the hotel. Very convenient as the fair was just downstair. Strategic location for sightseeing as well as the Grant Park, Millenium Park and Lake Michigan are just right in front of the hotel. The Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago are just right around the corner. Had a lovely time as I managed to...

Stayed for four nights. It’s a nice and clean hotel in appearance but I think there must be something in the AC vents as I got terrible sore throats and my allergies acted up worse than ever. Heard others with rooms over the pool complaining of a musty smell and they moved rooms. We were on the 8th floor. It seems like they need to clean their AC ducts.

I was within walking distance to the RUSH Medical Complex where I was working. The room was adequate, not extravagant. The room was clean and quiet. Staff was not intrusive, but always friendly and helpful. Suitable lunch and dinner dining was available across the street. The only thing lacking as an on-site or nearby breakfast option. An on-side "market" would hav...

We like shopping, and the hotel is located near the best stores in downtown Chicago. The hotel is also close to the Art Museum which is a wonderful atraction oif the city. You also have very good restaurants in the area or if they are far away the subway and bus are good options. Also, coming back and forth to the airport in the blue subwayne to Monroe station is a fas...

We were at the Kinzie for a girls weekend. The hotel was in a great area. We were able to walk to Chicago sites and great nightlife was close by. I also felt I actually got some benefit from the "resort fee" that is charged in Chicago in addition to regular taxes. Not only was there a decent breakfast but there was also complimentary wine and beer for a couple of h...

Great location, nice and polite staff, very clean room. Unfortunately, We underwent a jet lag that night, so we cannot sleep very well. When we were awake that night, we found the air conditioner a little bit noisy. What's more, if they can provide a lower pillow, that would be perfect (both pillows were high for us)! Anyway, we'd like to stay in Doubletree next time w...

The location is perfect, near everything, the staff are incredible, front desk always manned, coffee downstairs is some of the best in Chicago, awesome events every night, washing, cooking and laundering facilities all great. Gym is great as well as the bar/restaurant downstairs would have to be some of the best food and drinks I’ve had in the states. And all this for...

The things that I appreciated about Inn of Chicago: great location (with reference to Magnificent Mile); straightforward, classic, no-frills room structure/design; free, fast wifi; room cleaned everyday (it was so nice to come home to a kept room every day); inexpensive relative to other hotels nearby. Points for improvement: may "update" or design their rooms; their a...

I really enjoyed this hotel! I travel to Chicago every month for work and stay a few nights at a time. I've stayed at several hotels in the area but this one was one of my favorites. The staff were all very customer service oriented, more so than most hotels I've experienced. Thanks for a great stay!

I selected the Cambria because my son was having surgery at Lurie Children's Hospital and the hotel is right next door - literally a 2 minute walk. Great location! Very clean with a very cool vibe. Updated - although still undergoing renovations which was a little inconvenient but not bad (reason for 4 star rating on facilities). Best part - the staff! Exceptional!...

The location of this hotel is ideal for a stay in Chicago. The city is easily accessible on foot from here, with plenty of local cafes and restaurants, although the cost and quality of the hotel food is excellent. In addition the hotel facilities are very good with a pool and rooftop seating. The staff are hugely attentive and helpful. We loved it!

We were only staying in Chicago a couple of days as part of a longer trip - and this hotel was absolutely perfect. Superb value for money. We had a big spacious room with a great view of downtown, clean, good facilities (always like the inclusion of a decent sized fridge so we can buy breakfast / water etc at supermarket and store to save some bucks) and the location...

perfect location in downtown and close to start/finish line in Grant Park for Chicago Marathon Race. and you can take walk to metro line and restaurant with delicious foods. furthermore, you can enjoy shopping times in Macy and Target. anyway, good choice for SilverSmith hotel when you take stay in Chicago.

booked this room not knowing the area, however was quite please it was a nice area with several places to eat. you could catch the train not far and head into the mall area. The area room was clean and the breakfast was adequate, only complaint no tea

I’ve booked in this hotel w/o knowing the area very well as it’s the first time for us in Chicago. At the first moment when I landed, I was impressed with the location of the hotel as it’s in excellent surroundings of green areas and quite Neighbour hood. I’ve stayed in this hotel for 10 days where I was astonished by the staff who all were very nice and responsive t...

The breakfast bar was super impressive. The front desk people helped us several times. The management paid for our cab ride twice because the shuttle had already gone home for the day. They were just more than helpful exclamation plane and we are not easily impressed but they managed to!

The rooms extremely clean and even so its not the newest building in very good condition. The pool and Jacuzzi were daily serviced. Breakfast highly variable and the freshly made 3 choice eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes were permanently refilled and very tasty. Complementary freshly baked cookies in different varieties were all day available at the front desk and for...

I am visiting from overseas and was getting around by public transport, however there is no safe way for a pedestrian to cross Busse Road to get to the bus stop on the western side of Busse Road. The traffic signals at Busse Road/E Higgins Road do not have signals that allow a pedestrian to cross in this direction. I ended up having to run across Busse Road which at t...

The front desk staff members are too lax. They accidentally charged me twice during check-in. I had to call Agoda myself and confirm that this was a pre-paid reservation. Upon realizing their mistake, the night auditor AND the morning front desk agent refused to apologize. The front desk service is extremely unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle, and book elsewhere.

I booked on Agoda for $64 including taxes . This was after Turkish airlines refused to pay for a hotel after making me miss my flight waiting for my baggage that never came . But that's a different story 😃 $64 is phenomenal for any major U.S. city especially last minute . Their shuttle driver came immediately upon me calling and transported me with speed and safety ...

I stayed here for 5 days. I really like the view of my room which I requested prior to checking-in. It's facing the pond which gives me some relaxation. Balcony door is locked for some safety reasons. Friendly, helpful and approachable staffs from front desk and house keeping. Beds were so comfortable. They have a complimentary tea and coffee with a coffee maker. No w...

Looks a little shady outside. The 1st room I was put in smelled of urine (ammonia) turned on air and went to get food and still smelled HORRIBLE. The clerk then put me in another room but never changed in the computer. Thank god I bolted the door, because the night clerk gave a key card to someone else to the room to get in but they couldn't open the door to the room ...

Nice clean place, very accommodating. Check in was easy with Dion. My daughter left her coat in the room and we didn't realize until we were home, 2hours away. I called and spoke to Brittany and she had the coat mailed to me within 2 days at no cost to me! Great customer service

Overseas traveling is a major part of my job since 25 years. To live out of my suitcase for four to five months every year isn’t easy, but The Drake managed something that I haven’t experienced in a very long time: I felt at home away from home. I was upgraded to the Senator Suite, received complimentary (excellent!) breakfast and enjoyed outstanding service. This is...

The hotel is very nicely done - it's modern and the place is relatively new. Overall staff was friendly. There is valet parking downstairs for $67/day with in and out privileges. Or park across the street or around the corner in the self parking lots for about $47-48 per day. The hotel lobby is on the 9th floor so you do have to go up to check in first (and not the g...

Great staff. Convenient location. Well kept and updated. Good food at the restaurant and neighborhood -- generally speaking, yummy food around Chicago! Room very clean -- service a bit slow, but perhaps low manpower? Still, nice and clean. $16 Urban fee was a bit much -- that is, in-room espresso machine was wonky and made bad coffee (an upgrade would be good); we didn...

If you are a traveller who is moving in to another state with lots of things in your car and stopped by Chicago, the location of the hotel is a safe place. Near to safe parking garages. Location is at the Uptown and if you like to walk, it is a little bit far from tourist attractions. Staff were nice and hotel is clean. Near to stores and restaurants as well.

There were several times that the pounding noise from the work out music came all the way up to the 5th floor where we were staying.....not sure why it was on so early in the am (6 or 7) even on a Sunday.....and didn't stop until late. It was definately a luxury experience other than that. When we checked out I did mention the noise factor after being there for 2 days ...

It was the best trip ever! I was traveling in Chicago downtown all day and when I got back to Double Tree, I felt so comfortable and relax after a long day. I fell in love with Evanston! And Hilton did not disappoint! Hotel staff were polite and always willing to assist in everything! Close to Target, Whole Foods, Burger King, Chipotle, Barnes & Noble, Gap, CVS, Trader Joe's, etc. Special mention to Gabriella of Farmhouse who was so warm and friendly. If I get to visit Evanston again, it'll definitely be Hilton or nothing!...

My family had a wonderful stay. My kids made a fuss on checking out as they enjoyed their stay SO much my youngest actually cried when we had to leave. The housekeeping was FANTASTIC. I came to Chicago for a business conference. I love this lively city. Very busy but everyone seems relax here.
Similar to New York...busy, metropolitan and attractions/shops within walking distance...easy to navigate around
Chicago is a beautiful city with a lot to do and see. Friendly people, excellent dining and night life, lots of places to shop, and clean.
If you are going to shop take lots of money and be prepared to drop off your booty at the hotel a few times throughout the day.
