A good 3/4 day visit. Bruxner Flora and Fauna park 10KM out of town near Sealy Lookout. A good walk through amazing trees and plants.
Emerald and Park Beach stunning water so clear.Woolgoolga is nearby and the Headland walk is 2 hours of stumming water and some friendly kangaroos.
Nice place to visit. Would recommend a 2 night stay. A little expensive for what you get at the motels in the area.
Quiet area. Not great for night life. Would check out the prices at the pub for accommadation. It looked like alot of young ones were staying there.
Good weather, we stopped there as a half-way point between Hunter Valley and the Gold Coast as we were driving and we wanted to see the Big Banana.
As we were on the coast we wanted some good fish and seafood, but we found it very difficult to find a really good Fish and Chips shop on a Friday night, the one that was recommended to us closed at 6:30pm. The one we went to in the end was over priced ($7 for fish)and it was very small fish, total rip-off.
Coffs Harbour has superb beaches in a sub-tropical environment. It has sufficient size to offer a decent range of restaurants.
Great city, plenty to see and do. I really loved using the taxi service, they understood my language and where to go, unlike Sydney/Melbourne.
The people are absolutely welcoming and interested in you. Do yourself a favour and take a holiday there.
They have alot of interesting arts - not just in the major gallery but all around. Their markets are great.
We loved Open Studio (25 Vernon Street) for teens to learn how to express themselves through graffiti on their own wall. The customer service is so much more friendly than other mid north coast nsw towns. It's a very clean place (the CBD).
We did not spend too long in Coffs Harbour as we were just passing through. A bit dated, but still perfect for relaxing.
Great places to visit if you're willing to drive. Great food places as well.
Me and my wife just stop over for a nite stay on the way from Post stephens to Gold Coast. So nothing much to comment.
But both of us really enjoy the Thai Food at one of the Thai Restaurant located at city centre.
Such a great place! It's as big as a city with the feel of a little country town. Definitely worth a trip!!
It is more for retirees with not many restaurants or activity on a friday night in the centre of town
We loved the Taste of North India restaurant, and the regional gallery is worth going to. We also enjoyed seeing the Sikh Temple at Woolgoolga, though being from the Northern Rivers we found the market to be a disappointment in terms of size and variety, unless you are into sportswear.
Coffs Harbour is a place that you can visit anytime, however if swimming is a main attraction I suggest you visit Jan Feb March Oct Nov Dec other months may be a little cool for swimming unless pool is heated.
As we only stayed two nights we were kept busy with not a lot of spare time as the Big Banana, Porpoise Pool, and Butterfly farm are the only attractions we had time to visit. Looking at the extensive aray of brochures there were lots of other things I would like to do next time we return.
Coffs Harbour is a very pretty place, unfortunately public transport is not very good, which in turn makes getting around to attractions impossible.
. Dolphin magic, camel rides, beach buggy rides etc all require taxi trips. Saving grace after 3 days we found out that most pubs and clubs have courtesy buses that will pick up and return to accommadation.
A nice, relaxing and clean city. Best if you are interested in outdoor activities in particular to beach related activities.
Coffs is a very scenic area with lots to do. Unfortunately we only had one night but would like to go back and spend a week or so as there is so much on offer in the area.
I haven't been to Coffs Harbour for over 20 years but now I have young children I will return. Many things to do and see.
This was our first time visiting Coffs. We are a mid-age couple with no children and went during Xmas/school holidays.
It was packed full of families so that was challenging. Lots of activities and excursions to keep busy with though. Wasn't aware how big Coffs really is. Nice beaches, rivers are good for swimming, kayaking. Ocean was a bit rough due to king tide.
Coff harbour is a great place to visit for a holiday, there is plenty to do, nice beaches, good clubs and resteraunts and great shopping.
The kids indoor play area in Coffs is great as it is relatively cheap and doesn't charge for adults which is always a bonus as we are only there so our kids have something to do.
The Porpoise Pool is very good too and their photo opportunities are a great idea and aren't too expensive, although I would have purchased more photos if they had have been cheaper.
Beautiful coastal city with plenty of nightlife and sight seeing to keep you busy. When you need to relax the beach is always there!
