"A warm welcome from the owner greeted us followed by a short tour of the facilities and then to our room. Everywhere came across as being really clean plus the whole place is quiet - brilliant! Cars and other vehicles are not parked right outside the doors either which means a lack of noise first thing and last thing of each day. Breakfast is DIY but everything is provided in the dining room for this. Our only negative comment would be that all of the rooms, including the dining room, are a little on the dull side - the lighting needs to be improved/brightened but, apart from this, we really cannot fault this place. The bedrooms had a fridge, kettle and microwave so preparing a quick meal was easy. Alternatives to eat are the hotel just across the back lane behind the motel. Usual pub meals and prices but good food. This was the 2nd time we have stayed at Banksia and will definitely book for next time we are in Collie."

"I stayed overnight for a business trip. I didn't arrive until 9pm but was welcomed by a professional staff member and directed to a clean room with good facilities. Compared to the last place I stayed in Collie, it was a wonderful relief. Then, at 9pm, I wandered into the restaurant expecting to hear "We're closed" or "Your'e too late". But was refreshingly amazed that when I said "Surprise me", they came out with a lovely creamy seafood pasta meal that was beautiful. Thanks Collie Ridge - I'll be back. "
