Where to stay in Côn Đảo Islands
Côn Đảo Islands hotels & accommodations

We traveled to the Con Dao island to stay one night at the Poulo Condor Boutique Resort and Spa. After our two days and one night spent our only regret was that we did not book a full week at this wonderful place! The resort feels like stepping into a luxurious world of peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and plenty of activities to enjoy like snorkeling, kayaking, s...

any traveller to con son island who wants to be able to get around the small town independently & easily should stay here -you can walk to town easily. the other resort (six senses) is too far away so you are quite isolated. at night, from con dao resort you can easily walk to great local seafood restaurants. our favourite was across the road & towards town a bit. we h...

The only place with Beach Bungalows in Con Dao, and also the only Beach Bar/Restaurant on the entire island. And the Bungalows are beautiful. Its about 30 m to the beach, which has palm trees, also rare on Con Dao. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, no fuzz. Nice dogs too, and many lovely details. The terrace chairs are partly not comfortable, should any suggest...

I had a wonderful time, in fact I didn't want to leave and the amazing staff helped my to change my flight and extend my stay. The place is fantastic, very quiet, the nature is overwhelming. The people in con Dao are really nice and always willing to help. I am looking forward to going back.

I would highly recommend Con Dao Guest House for families travelling with young children and at reasonably low budget. The room is quite spacious, clean, a lot of light during the day and with nicely made beds. It is quite convenient to travel anywhere on the island from the location. The island has untouched beautiful beaches and mountains....I recommend families trav...

After a hiccup on arrival we managed to work everything out and had a fantastic stay. The only thing I would note is that the Double Room with Balcony - the balcony was accessed from a common door so was not exclusive to this room, however the room we had that had 2 double beds had its own balcony. This could just depend on the level and the rooms that you are alloca...

the room was spacious and very clean. the management couple do not speak English but they try very hard to assist my journey, they have been very polite and patient. the dog protected me when some outside dog barked at me. We family of 4 enjoyed stay here. pool is not quite clean but you have the beautiful clean sea 10 m away just across the street. The island itself gives peace and quietness. WIFI works very good in the ground floor but not in the room. Staff was very kind. View from the window was so beautiful. You have not many choice of activity but it is a perfect place for rest.

1st: room was clean, the owner was friendly. It said on Agoda that wife in common area but the wifi is in every room, even if you sit at the restaurant next door you can still use wifi and speed is really good. 2nd: renting a motorbike from the hotel is a great way to discover the island. The island is very pristine, not so many ways for you to travel around, but if y...

We arrived Con Dao by boat from Vung Tau and we was very happy that the hotel sent us a minibus for a free pick-up at the port (for free). Same when we goes back to the boat two days later. The distance from port to hotel is long, it was for sure a 20 minute drive. The hotel is on a good place for go everywhere. We had a nice bungalow with two separated room. Everythin...

Pros: all of the above. Very happy with my choice Cons: when we entered the room, it was dusty on the TV and the fridge was a bit rusty. We stayed for 4 nights, and we didn't know we must leave our keys at the reception to get the room clean. But we weren't messy so that was fine. I would still highly recommend this guest house for the price i paid.

I had to rate food to submit review but no hotel restaurant but there is one next door so don't worry! This hotel is basic so if you accept this and don't expect too much you will be very happy! We had sea view room which was basic but large, clean and equipped for a basic stay. The reception staff on all shifts are excellent, very welcoming, helpfully and always smi...

I have stayed at Con Son Island Hotel for 3 days and I am happy with the friendly environment, service here. The hotel located at a very convenience location. A bit noisy due to poor sound insulation room-to-room. Don't have many choices for free breakfast. Otherwise, very friendly staffs, great location for easy access to local market, seafood restaurants (just a few minute walk) and most attractions around the islands (especially if you can ride a scooter). Good bang for the buck.

Real reviews for hotels
Vietnamese people visit Con Dao solely for religious purpose. Besides, Con Dao is a good place for learning the history of Vietnam (by visiting the chain of prisons and museums).
You should rent a motobike to discover the mountains and beaches. Trekking in the national mountain to enter to Dam Tre beach is cool.
This was a perfect end to our 4 week holiday in Vietnam. The island is beautiful and very quiet - we were brave enough to hire a motorbike to explore as there was very little traffic.
Con Dao is interesting from a historical point of view, i.e. the prisons for political prisoners during the French clonial period, during the South Vietnam government and the American war.
No shopping area/sports... Only nature. Beach/sun/mountain..etc. I recommend this area for whom enjoy rest at beach.
Liten ö med inte så mycket att göra. Bra om du vill ha lugn och ro. Dock väldigt dåligt utbud på restauranger.
Although this island is nice to visit it is NOT the pristine area that you hear about! Most of the beaches are littered with garbage and difficult to access without transportation.
For now, Con Dao is still a sleepy island with a few nice beaches and green hills covered with jungle.
Con Dao Island is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to, even though we have traveled around the world.
A must-visit historical site if you are intersted in Vietnam history. Besides you can enjoy sight-seeing and fresh seefood.
1. must go-We rode scooter to the only bar in the city center. The cocktail tastes the best after diving during daytime.
it's deader than a ghost town and there are only about 3 good restaurants. the beaches on the far side of the island are nice but hard to get to without a motorbike.
The island is beautiful, the beaches are awesome and deserted. But do not go during the windy season.
beautiful island with great country sides and beautiful views. Not much to do but relax on the beach if it is not raining.
These islands are very small so people coming here are either looking for quiet relaxation or to hop to the different islands for diving or trekking.
Con Dao archipelago is an unspoiled gem. This is not the place to go if you are looking for nightlife, western food, or western-style hotels, unless you shell out for Six Senses.
There are not many resorts around yet. Still very peaceful and natural. Hardly any traffic. Beautiful beaches and very clean and clear water.
