Costa Brava y Maresme hotels & accommodations

I was initially reluctant in booking this hotel because of the low rating. But I went ahead and it happened to be a good decision. Although the facilites are abit old but they were still very functional. The location is excellent, just opposite the Calella shore line (beach). The staff are cordial and the food (Both breakfast and dinner) is wonderful. You will never ge...

This hotel was situated virtually on the beach great location. The hotel staff were very friendly and polite The hotel was very clean on the other hand the breakfast was hit and miss very good selection of continental choices but English looked like the evening before leftovers .The only down fall was we chose Easter week for our break never ever again as this was ...

Very happy with our choice to stay here. Very clean, breezy and not noisy. Room is comfortable and bathroom is a good size. They have a small bar with an honour system downstairs. Location may be a little challenging for people with limited mobilty as it is up a steep-ish hill. They will come get you and your luggage in a buggy from the public carpark though. One sma...

Very very clean room with nice rooftop pool and breakfast! There are enough tables and staff are very quick so no worries about tables for the breakfast. Variety of food and changes daily. Close to the beach and bars as well so easy to go around and do/see things.

The hotel is very nice and modern, decorated well and very clean. The pool area is nice, although quite small and only about 20 sunbeds, so I noticed some people coming to the pool and turning back round as they had nowhere to lie. The location is great; shops, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep, 5-minutes walk to the beach and a great little English bar (KD's)...

we stayed here during our road trip. the hotel is very 80's-90's old fashion when it comes to interior. nothing has been refurnished here in 20 years. the hotel guests are mainly charter tourists, but that has much to do with that the town is a charter destination.

Very good price, situated 5 mins from the beach (by the way, there's wrong hotel position on the Google Maps. At first I couldn't find it until I asked someone for the way.) Service is good but not excellent, well, it's not 5-star and that's expectable. If someone doesn't like loud music, (s)he wouldn't like living opposite the Alhambra hotel. Very loud show until midn...

Loved the hotel, the staff were courteous and helpful, the room we had was a seaview room and excellent, plenty of room and clean, a little sparse but plenty enough for couples either at the ironman or families (friend had a family room) on a getaway. The food at breakfast was excellent and race morning was well catered for (no bacon and eggs at 6am but we didn't expec...

Have just stayed here for a night in the middle of a ten day tour of Spain staying at 4 Paradors, this was the most expensive and probably the most modern, the bedroom was the smallest of them all , in fact was smaller than average that we saw. Car parking was ridiculous for this time of the year so in summer forget it,the food was average as was the service in the din...

We stayed for 2 nights and we had fun on the beach during Fiesta night. This hotel is across the street from a hotel where groups of young people were staying and noise level was high throughout the night. Our room was clean and it had a kitchenette. The room had poor reception for wifi and the TV was very old and could only pick up one station. The beds were comfor...

Gorgeous little hotel in a gorgeous little town. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant served a wonderful dinner. Try to get there for one of their music nights - flamenco on a Wednesday, vinyl on two other nights. Great base for nearby beaches and towns. Thoroughly recommended.

Firstly, the town of Cadaques is very beautiful and picturesque. The roads were very narrow so please drive safely. The hotel was located close to the centre of town (about 5 minutes walk) where some of the nice restaurants were. There was paid parking available at the hotel and the room was comfortable with an awesome view and a small balcony. Breakfast was available ...

Beautiful gardens and nice enough pool area. Room was very clean. It really needs modernising though. Breakfast was reasonable. €9 charge for open air parking in the large lot on the hotel grounds must be an excellent money spinner! Location at the top of Carretera De Palamos a bit too far to walk from town and the beach. Staff were very pleasant.

Business trip. The hotel was not ideal for business. No internet in the room, only at the lobby (and no power plug nearby...). The pool is small and in the shade. In summer probably a plus, in autumn a freezing experience. Beach is nearby. Food stores around the corner but mostly "tourist food". Got stuck in the elevator, but help came right away. Friendly and helpful ...

The entrance into the hostal is the restaurant which is beautifully decorated and is welcoming with a cosy seating area at the back beside the bar. The food was delicious , reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony and view which was stunning. I would recommend this but the hostal has a larger balcony area to the side wit...

To an English person the description 'B&B' summons up a quite different image than found at this rather exclusive and stylish little Hotel. I have stayed at far worse 4 star hotels. I got a room on the 2nd floor facing the church with partial mountain view. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is modern. The only downside is that the hotel is next to church, you might have to sleep with earplug if you are a light sleeper.

PLUS: We liked very much the hotel. All room are oriented at a ~45°C to the sea so you will see the Mediterranean Sea from the bed. It's very close to the sea. MINUS: It's noisy. We stayed on the forest part but the hotel has no phonic insulation what so ever. You can hear the neighbor coughing or sneezing, flushing the toilet. The cleanliness was OK but in the fist ...

Beautiful property that's located less than 5 mins from the city centre. Breakfast is a hearty affair too - buffet style with eggs and toast upon request. There's a shuttle bus service that runs from the city centre to the beaches (Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, & Aiguablava), at 1 eur per trip - but note taht the buses leave really punctually, if not a few minutes' earlier than s...
