Where to stay in Daejeon
Daejeon hotels & accommodations

everything is absolutely great, very clean and hands down the nicest hotel in Daejeon with all the facilities you can think of except for indoor pool... but, and this is a BIG but, the location is just bad, there is nothing around this hotel, nothing. at the same time, i was very satisfied, but if you are looking for a nightlife or variety of food choices, this hotel ...

I enjoyed my stay at Good Morning Residence Hotel Hue and will be returning next time I visit Daejeon. It is a little far from the subway however, it is close to a shopping mall and within walking distance to a nightlife area. The place was quiet and the buffet breakfast was great. I appreciated the wifi internet and the desktop computer within the room. I was using ...

We used this hotel in Daejeon as our base for one day trips during our holiday in Korea. The hotel is not close to the main railway station, but is very close to the City Hall subway station, from where you can reach the railway station quite easily. Breakfast is served on the cafeteria at the ground floor and has a choice of cereals, coffee, milk and local dishes. The...

I have stayed at this hotel on 9 different trips to Korea over the past 3 years. This location works for me due to its proximity to where I work (Nonsan), but the hotel is far from outstanding. Rooms are small, beds are ridiculously uncomfortable, the whole hotel has this "smell" (I think it's the cleaning solution), and the prices are high. Breakfast buffet is bett...

This hotel is located in a downtown, so you can see lots of restaurants and different kinds of store. So we could enjoy delicious food at a BBQ restaurant. And it has a convenient store on the first floor. And also the room condition was good, clean and neat. I recommend this hotel if you visit Techno valley.

This hotel is a Best Western hotel. I wonder why. It is not best, it is good. And it certainly is not Western: nobody of the hotelstaff spoke a word English! In a hotel of this category at least the man at the desk should speak resonable English. Furthermore: no free drinking water in the hotelroom. Even in the cheapest hotels/motels in Korea you always have free drink...

in general the hotel is really good and staff is kind, but this time during my whole stay i did not have internet in the room which was very frustrating. they tried to fix it but it did not work, so they offer us to use the business area, not a really good option. anyways if you go to daejeon it is a good place to stay.

Really ok hotel in semi-central location. It's right oposite one of the two bus terminal. Good access to the city centre by bus (approx 10 mins) and to the nearby national park. Plenty little shops arround and a number of korean restaurants, mostly visited by locals. So - do expect to sit on the floor. The hotel staff was friendly with little but sufficient knowledge o...

A great little hotel in an excellent location. The staff was super friendly and there were so many amazing food options within easy walking distance. Also wonderful is that the coffee shop in the bottom floor was not only open, but opened at a reasonable hour! My only (minor) quibble: the blackout curtains didn't reach the floor or the ceiling. Considering how bright...

Hotel is clean and modern with free ice cream/ice tea and ice coffee in the lobby. The room is large and has a working computer with internet which can connect to the TV and a large TV with many channels. Hotel is quiet and staff are great. I recommend it and would stay again! 5*

Room was ok. Although as per booking the following were not in my room - air conditioning, microwave, kitchen ware etc Bathroom is small - get used to water everywhere you don't want it Bed was comfortable and room quiet One stop on MRT to KTX station and very close to food shopping etc

I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone who's traveling to Daejeon. About 5-8 minutes walk to the nearest subway station, clean room with wifi and the small details inside the rooms like shower gel, shampoo, hair gel, bath tub, hair dryer and even a desk top. It's as much value as you can get for your money. Though staffs speak very limited English, I would defi...

The motel is on the 4th floor of a building without elevator. The building looks run down, and the main building hallway is not the cleanest, but once on the motel's floor you will be in good hands. Clean and spacious room, tv, cable, free wifi, amazing bathroom, free water, and a good working AC. The staff is polite, and speaks good English. The motel is located next ...

Daejeon Hotel Max is located in an area that is literally next door to the Daejeon Bus Terminal. Although farther away from the KTX train station, the location provided my friend and I easy access to the bus when we wanted to take a trip to Jeonju for the day. The hotel is also next to plenty of restaurants and a movie theater (the bus terminal has a Smoothie King). It...

The hotel exceeded my expectation. Very nice and clean interior, also very kind staff. But we found a little bit difficulty to reach the place as many taxi drivers still not familiar with the hotel (if you're foreigner, prepare the address with hangeul).

Great placement in the center of an active area of Daejeon. Everything you need is close by, including the hot springs that the area is known for, they are a thirty-second walk from the hotel. They only cover your knee but there are plenty of pay spas nearby to visit for a full spa effect. The hotel is a bargain, full-screen tv, great bathrooms, all amenities and in a...

the hotel is conveniently located at the daejeon city district with a lot of options for good food and good entertainment. the hotel staff is very friendly and they try their best to speak english as much as they can. the rooms are decent enough and the facilities has a nice spa.

I went to Daejeon for a couple of days and I was looking for a cheap place to stay. Not only was this place cheap but the rooms are also really spacious. The only thing that was a bit dissapointing was that the internet signal wasn't able to reach my room so I had to sit near the elevator to use the wifi.

Spacious quiet deluxe room at very good value. Best motel in 22 days of my stay in South Korea at different cities. Location was not best for transit travelers (need a short taxi ride or subway from long distance bus terminal) but in a quiet neighborhood with many local restaurants. A typical budget motel in South Korea with relatively good amenities (strong wifi, desk...

Rooms are modern and clean , containing all the usual hotel amenities. Restaurant has good selection of Italian meals for dinner and a nice wine list. Breakfast however needs improvement all the food was cold as they had not turned on the bay marie's? Also in the room the sliding mirror that is supposed to cover the window does not cover it completely letting lots of u...
Cheap places to stay in Daejeon

To start with, be aware that this is a love motel and in a neighborhood full of similar places. The staff member at the desk first gave us a room that was either occupied already (did he think all foreigners look alike and we had returned from dinner?) or uncleaned from the previous guests. There were dirty towels strewn about and an unmade bed. When we returned to ...

Its a very comfortable city to live and the citizens are welcoming. Its very ordered and clean, has all the services needed and still having a small-medium size.
Most habitants cannot speak English. The Korean men there are very rude but the women are better. If you want help, ask the women!
This place is more suited for conferences and meetings. there is a Emart mall located near one subway station (near police station) which offers very good value for money purchases.
Daejeon is a progressive city but the people are still so warm and friendly. The place is not so busy unlike in Seoul where there are lots of people.
very quite place n very comfortable to stay in this city. i would like to spend a week for relaxation in Daejeon.
Daejeon is a booming city with the near future of Korean government agencies move to the area. It is a nice growing city with good transportation system.
Daejeon is a fairly quiet city, with a lot of universities and parks. It's a nice place to relax for a few days after the bustle of Seoul.
A nice city but is really small compared to other giants like Seoul or Busan. Should be visited though for a while especially to see KAIST, one of the biggest university campuses in Asia and definitely worth just taking a peek at.
The city is very clean and green. People are friendly and helpful. The pavilions in Expo park are nice but it is hard to understand the content if you are not familiar with Korean.
Although a large city, not sure how much there is actually going on in the town, hence me going sight-seeing quite far afield, which was no trouble.
Dunsan-dong has great restaurants, shopping and bars. You'll see a lot of foreigners there during weekends.
There are several museums along the various bus routes, as well as numerous parks, and a zoo a fair distance from the main city.
