Cape Tribulation Beach House
Cape Tribulation,Daintree - View on map
"We stayed in the Ribbon Cabin with En Suite last August as part of our honeymoon in Queensland. We can really recommend this accommodation as basis to explore the Daintree Rainforest and/or just to enjoy being (almost) off the grid for a while. We want to give a special thanks to the staff, especially behind the bar, who were very helpful and made us feel welcome (and really on our honeymoon :-). The 'resort' itself has a very relaxed vibe and the on-site restaurant/bar is one of their strongest assets. At this accommodation you can perfectly do nothing all day or join some of the activities around. And finally the room has exactly what you would like in the jungle: a good bed, everything well cleaned, warm water and insect screens that actually work."

Coral Sea Views
Diwan,Daintree - View on map
"While the property looked nice upon arrival - and the hammocks were awesome - it turned out to be horribly overpriced and terrible value. Despite it being advertised as a "super king bed" it was actually just a queen. The mosquito net was full of holes (rendering it essentially useless) and worst of all, there wasn't even hot water!!! Chalet 2 was advertised as 50 m2 versus Chalet 1 which was advertised as 16 m2, but both were the same exact size (16 m2). Also, we drove past many places in the area advertising air conditioning in every room (and cheaper too!), while this only had a fan. Definitely not recommended."

PKs Jungle Village
Cape Tribulation,Daintree - View on map
"We visited PKS for a few days and we had a great time. We were stalled in getting there and they stayed up to midnight for us. How cool is that? The staff were really helpful no matter how many questions we asked. New management commenced just a couple of days before we arrived and they seemed so much better than the old. Our rooms had confusing old signs basically saying you can’t bring alcohol into the park / the rooms because it’s licenced but also it can’t be taken out if the bar area because that’s the licensed area. Hopefully new management will get rid of those. I recommend staying there if you don’t mind rudimentary accommodation with a good vibe and a short walk to myall beach. Cost for accommodation is high all over the Daintree so it’s comparable. Give it a go...."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Daintree Rainforest Retreat. The property is well kept and beautiful. We enjoyed using the bbq area to cook our dinner. The pool is very nice to use after a day of sightseeing. Travis was very helpful informing us of everything the area had to offer. "

Heritage Lodge In the Daintree
Diwan,Daintree - View on map
"This is an amazing location - surrounded by rainforest. It is a smaller private facility and has everything you need. The huts are older but very well maintained. Gardens are amazing. Get used to everything in the room feeling damp - it is a rainforest! Beautiful stream which we didn’t get a chance to swim in but would be glorious if the the weather were better. Breakfast is included, but is a pretty basic continental style. Definitely enough. The coffee machine was broken when we were there - pity for us urban folk, but the stand-in drip coffee was ok. Staff were very helpful, and dinner was good. Recommended."

Rainforest Hideaway
Cape Tribulation,Daintree - View on map
"Hideaway came recommended by another operator and we're so glad we took their advice. Some may call the Easter Island-referenced sculptures 'eccentric', but they're only part of the experience. Other beautifully created pieces adorn the tranquil pathways and creek bank. Rob has a great local knowledge and the place is in easy walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. There's a funkiness to this place that may not please conservative people, but this is a wonderful way to 'chill' and a great base for exploring both the site's gardens and Cape Trib at your own pace. You want some wine? Just grab a bottle of the wall-shelf and fix Rob up later. The rooms are clean, pleasantly located with my only gripe about the bed- but being so relaxed, this was not a huge concern at all. Rob is happy to recommend and support other locals by pointing you in their direction - and he'll give you honest guidance either way. He and Roony are interested in making your Daintree experience a memorable one. "

Daintree Ecolodge
Daintree,Daintree - View on map
"My husband and I stayed at the Daintree Ecolodge while visiting Australia on our honeymoon. The property is so beautiful and you feel completely immersed in the rainforest. Every single staff member we met was incredibly friendly and helpful, getting to know us and how we were enjoying our stay. We booked a Canopy Bayan and it was beautiful - clean and cozy with great amenities and an awesome outdoor deck to enjoy the sounds of the rainforest. We enjoyed walking around the property and the trail to the waterfall. The chef at the Julaymba Restaurant is so talented - we ate there every night and had such a memorable experience trying new foods that were local to the area. We highly recommend staying at the Daintree Ecolodge and hope to stay here again ourselves in the future!"

Epiphyte Bed & Breakfast
Cow Bay,Daintree - View on map
"Our stay with Trish and Kev, who are looking after the B&B, was perfect. They gave us a warm welcome, local knowledge and made it easy to have our first Daintree experience. Highlights included a night walk in the rainforest, snorkeling at the reef and the Dreamtime Walk at Mossman. All recommended by trish. And breakfast of course. My tip would be to stay more nights than you think -- we did 4 but could have done 5 very nicely. Once you get used to sleeping in the rainforest, you won't want to leave. If you love off the grid living, you simply won't find a more delightful place to stay."
