We have just experienced a wonderful 2 night stay at the Lake House Daylesford The setting on the banks of the lake is one of great beauty,serenity and we enjoyed walking and the views and the wildlife and scenery. This attributed to our unwinding and total relax away from the city life. On arrival we were guided to our warm comfortable clean room by friendly staff. All staff gave us excellent service friendly helpful and very professional. The food experience we will never forget. All meals were presented way above and beyond our expectations. Our getaway to the Lakehouse has been a dream come true. Would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a R&R that ticks all the boxes.

Loved our stay at Saltus. Villa was modern, clean and had luxurious touches such as heated flooring, spa bath and a gas fireplace. Great location as well in hepburn. Spacious for a studio villa. Across the road from Peppers Mineral Spa (massage here is a must!), as well as the fine dining Argus Dining Room. Cafes within walking distance for breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Daylesford. Ps. Dinner at the Lake House in Daylesford is a must.

We stayed one night in the Daylesford Royal Hotel. It is a charming old-fashioned hotel with rustic rooms. Although the room looked old-fashioned everything was very clean and neat. The room was towards the main street, which was still fine at night since there is very little traffic in Daylesford. I liked that it has a reasonably sized fridge (no minibar) where you can put a bottle of coke or water. It also had glasses, cups, cutlery, plates, so you could bring food and eat it in the room. Even though we didn't book with breakfast we got a complimentary brekky pack with cereal, milk, and a cookie. Nice touch.

We booked and stayed in Villa 1 for the weekend! Pros - Beautiful setting, close to the lake, restaurants, shops and nice surroundings. Everything about the villa was perfect. Clean big rooms, comfortable bed, double spa bath, gas log fire, netflix on both tv’s, fully equipped kitchen, veranda both front and back deck, heater was turned on when we arrived in the middle of winter, free wifi and very well maintained!!!!! Cons - N/A Slippers would have been nice but overall we would definitely come back with family and friends..... highly recommended villas See you in summer!!!!!

Me and my husband spent a wonderful 3 days weekend at the ryokan with 2 of our friends visiting from overseas. Japanese style tatami rooms with beautiful japanese garden, food, scenery and decor were all great but the service was definetely outstanding. The room also have nice indoor/outdoor seating area, which is great spot to enjoy country fresh air and morning sun. We had izakaya dinner and delicious japanese breakfasts, while wearing yukata. I felt like I was transported and waking up in Japan at that moment in time. At the dinner, much to my friend delight, the manager and staff gave a her surprice birthday gift (bag of chocolates) wwith japanese style hand made b'day card. Nothing was too much problem for them, they also making her ginger lemon honey as she was unwell as she catch a cold during the stay. We Will be going back soon and am happy to recommended the ryokan to everyone!

Our stay was great. I almost cancelled the trip after I found that we were double booked for the weekend but I am sure glad that I didn't. From the moment we walked in, staff were friendly and accommodating and made every second easy and enjoyable. The beers speak for themselves (try the Little Heifer!) and the food is tasty pub food. The only negative was the tiny TV in the room but we got past that and had a nice sleep instead, all ready for a trip to Hanging Rock the next morning.

We stayed for 2 nights in a king villa - the Lucini villa. When we arrived we were very pleased with our room. It was warm, welcoming and we loved the layout of the room. It has a heating panel in the bedroom, a gas log fire and reverse airconditioner in the living area and heating lamps in the bathroom - no reason to be cold! We just loved that everything was in the room - from the fridge, microwave and dishwasher to the lovely bathroom and candles around the bath and also on the fireplace mantel. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows! The view of the woods was lovely and it was very peaceful. It helped us really wind down and relax. It was very nice to sit on comfy furniture and read and watch TV! There are three sets of two villas. The two villas are joined and have a inter-connecting door. When we checked in our neighbours were already there and we could hear them talking etc. We could hear them running a bath/spa, cooking breakfast etc but we tried to tune them out as much as possible. At least there is a bathroom (on both sides) between our bedroom and theirs... Still this is a much better option, both from a space perspective than a hotel room (and also has more character) and a financial one as stand alone villas seem to cost so much more. You are a couple of minutes by car away from Daylesford and only 500m from a wonderful restaurant called Rubens (see my review on Rubens). If you don't mind driving to most attractions I would highly recommend Hepburn Villas. We will certainly recommend to our friends and would stay here again! It was a great long weekend - one that we will talk about for ages to come! Thanks again!!!

Good location, spacious room and bathroom with generous spa. Spa needs a step to safely enter and exit. Parking was a little challenging and we opted to park on the street, this could have been because we were part of a large wedding party that had filled all accommodation in Daylesford that night. Room was good quality, however a little dark due to insufficient lighting. The breakfast the next morning was good value well presented and served hot and fresh pot of brewed coffee really topped off an enjoyable stay, and we would certainly stay there again.

we stayed at the Daylesford central motor inn for 2 nights. we drove from Adelaide and didn't arrive in Daylesford until around 11.30pm. Darren was more than accommodating. he was more than happy to let us check in late, even delivering fresh milk to our room when we arrived. the location was great, just a short stroll to cafes and shops, the bed was comfortable and everything was super clean. If I could give one minor criticism it would be that the room was a little noisy, we could hear our neighbours through the walls and also some street noise too but other than that, i can't complain. Would definitely stay again!

Incredible...My girlfriend and I were treated like royalty by Renee, our host. The house was everything we had hoped for in a Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in a beautiful room and the customer service was exceptional. After dinner we relaxed in front of an open fire with complementary Port and Sherry. For breakfast, we had a choice of several items from a menu and lovely plunger coffee or tea. I strongly recommend any couples stay here and book a table for lunch/dinner at SAULT, which is located about 10 mins outside of town. The service is excellent and they serve delicious Tapas. The wine list and menu prices are very reasonable too compared to several other well known but very expensive and overrated restaurants in the Daylesford area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The house had a lovely ambience to it and our room was warm and comfortable, with the added touch of lovely little presents sitting on the bed. Breakfast the next morning was shared with other guests around a communal table in a relaxing dining area which encouraged some good conversation. There were different types of bread for toast, a variety of condiments, fruit, yoghurt and cereals to choose from, followed by a lovely cooked breakfast of bacon, freshly laid eggs and tomatoes. Orange juice and freshly brewed coffee and tea were on hand. Definitely an enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a beautiful old house with lots of character and history. You have s toilet in your room and shared bathrooms are clean and modern. Lots of lovely places to sit and read or just relax and watch the wildlife. Great location for Hepburn spa and a couple of lovely restaurants are just a short walk away. I read some reviews with people complaining about this accommodation being old etc - I don’t agree we had a lovely time no one hastles you even checkout is very flexible. Ed one of the owners is a delightful fellow very friendly oh and unlike some the many places I’ve stayed the bed was really comfortable. We would definitely stay again

Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat is a reasonably priced hotel for those seeking a quiet, romantic and relaxing getaway. The room prices are competitive in comparison to similar hotels in the area. The spa treatments on offer are also competitive in comparison to some of the other establishments in the local area. My wife and I both indulged in a massage - my deep tissue massage hit many tense spots, whilst my wife's relaxation massage was very good but not amazing. The food can only be classed as fine dining, with exceptional dishes matched with expensive prices - expect to pay $250 for 2 people, 3 courses and matching wines. We were there on a Thursday night, so the restaurant atmosphere was quiet due to the sparse diners that night. I would definitely recommend Peppers to anyone traveling to Mineral Springs or Daylesford (3-minute drive).

This was booked as a surprise trip for us, so we didn't read the "small print ". Directions to the villa were not signposted at all once you got to the address,we had to ring for further directions, & was a little way out of town, we would not have found it had we not rung. Disappointed with the lack of breakfast provisions, no milk bread or butter, which being advertised as a B&B was very poor considering the price per night. As we didn't arrive until late Friday night we then had to travel into daylesford for supplies.relaxing weekend value for money ..no.

This is one of my favorite hotels! Everything was perfect - from the amazing oversized spa bath (complete with MOR bath products) to the warmth of your own fireplace to the beautiful nature reserve that the villa backs on to. We checked in at 11pm (drove through after the F1 in Melbourne) - late check-in was no problem at all. The staff at reception was very helpful in giving us tips on tourist attractions in the area and her favorite restaurants and cafés. Food in Daylesford is great! The villa was so lovely that we actually spent a lot of time relaxing by the fire or sitting on the deck. I would highly recommend staying here for a few days. Ask for an odd numbered villa as it is more private (even numbered villas have a window that faces the car park)
