The Best Western Sugar Sands was a good option for our stay in Destin. The location is very convenient and close to the beach and shopping. We booked two rooms for three nights. The hotel is acceptable but not perfect. It has been updated in some areas. The Bedding and bathroom fixtures seem fairly new. The rooms could use new carpeting. The staff is very friendly ...
We took a spontaneous Memorial Day weekend trip to Destin, Florida. Of course with the holiday weekend, everything was booked. However, on the drive south, I found a vacancy at Hampton. We were very pleased with the facilities and the location close to the beach! Definitely Recommend!
My wife, dog, and I enjoyed the stay. Check in / check out went smoothly and the hotel is clean and in a great location. There is a boardwalk next to it that takes you to the beach. Highly recommend for a family that wants to go to Miramar Beach at a reasonable price.

Yes! We would definitely book a return stay & recommend this hotel to friends. We checked in right at 3PM & pleased we could get a ground floor room close to entrance. The staff was always friendly & happy to help. The self serve breakfasts were enjoyable....the BEST especially for this style. The room was clean & comfortable, including the bed. We were very impressed....
The ceilings in the room, the bedskirts and bathtub were all covered in black mold. Stucco was peeling off the ceiling. Floors were gritty. Overall very poor experience. Please save your money.
I was blown away at how nice the "2 star" was. It had a bigger flat screen then I own, comfy beds and pillows a microwave and fridge. It was perfect and I loved the bang for my buck. I liked the location it was walking distance to plenty within 30 mins. I will stay here again next year

There add said "Stay two nights and get one free" "free breakfast" well guess what ?? I got nothing. When I asked about some type of breakfast, the answer was go the Waffle House up the street. Room was nice enough for the purpose it served. We spent majority of our time out & about, exploring Destin, so only used the room to sleep/shower/change. I would definitely stay here again bc it's super close to all the attractions & Harborwalk. Other hotels in the area are pretty much double the price - no thanks.
