Where to stay in Detroit (MI)
Detroit (MI) hotels & accommodations

Staff is friendly, especially the Indian manager. They always greet with you when seeing you at the elevators. Room is clean but the bed and comfort have strong smell of disinfectant, which means cleanliness I think... I like the breakfast they provide: oatmeal, grits, scramble eggs, bacons, sausages, toasts, fried potatoes... Overall, it’s a good experience of staying...

Rooms were rough. Beds left a lot to be desired. Sheets were thin and cheap anf comforter thin. Pillows were small and buckets in the hallway to catch water. Staff was nice and breakfast was typical hotel waffles cereal and yogurt. At one time it was nice but seems like current owners have cheaped out in an effort to squeeze every last penny out.

Had to stay one night in Detroit and be back at the airport by 10am the next day. This was the perfect place for that. Free shuttle service to and from the airpot (10 minutes) Checked in around 6 pm. Had a nice meal at the restaurant and enjoyed a relaxing evening in my room. Staff were friendly and efficient. Checked in on me to see if there was anything I needed once...

This is a great hotel to stay in Allen Park Area. Though its little out of the way, but the stay is comfortable. Its a value for money !! Has a restaurant serving food. The warm breakfast (though same everyday) is good. There is a heated pool for those who will like to take a lap. The housekeeping is very good. Loved the stay here.

Very nice hotel! The room was great, very clean and relatively modern. The breakfast buffet was awesome! Saved us from having to go out to eat, which made the cost of the room even more worth it! If we're ever in the area we will definitely stay here again.

Problem with amenities e.g. self-parking, full breakfast, complimentary drink, pet-friendly, etc. listed on website but, not provided even when screenshot was shown to Front Desk personnel & Sales/Marketing Director. Jennifer Leo, Sales/Marketing Director claimed it wasn't their website nor, their rooms in the hotel website screenshot. Only comp breakfast 3X. Charged ...

Stayed here for one night when connecting flights in DTW. The shuttle from the airport was quick and easy and the checkin was quick. The room itself is showing some signs of wear but was fairly clean, large and comfortable. I had a good sleep here and there was no unnecessary noise even from the airport. The free breakfast was an added bonus that was much appreciated. ...

I loved the feel of a hotel designed in the glory days of Detroit and renovated for modern day travelers. The restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner👏🏻 We had the adult macaroni n cheese on two consecutive nights. Packed with big chunks of lobster and brimming with a cheesy/buttery sauce, it was superb. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Staff was he...

We were there for a wedding weekend &very disappointed by the service &lack of attention to detail. Mimosas were ordered in advance to the bride's room did not arrive, finally delivered after two calls, having somehow forgotten. The bride & groom arrived back to the hotel & their suite had not been cleaned, beds unmade, dirty towels etc... This was asked of the fron...

Very nice stay. I needed to get my grandson on a flight by 5:30 a.m. so we booked this hotel close to the airport. The shuttle was at the hotel by 4:20 a.m. to take us to the airport. Was able to catch the shuttle back to the airport once my grandson was on his flight. Nice and convenient did not have to worry about parking and the hassle of getting to the airport on t...

We had arrived thinking we would check in and then leave for a meal and our event, a Detroit Pistons game. The registration area was so full we did not even have a place to stand. There was only one person checking people in at the time. When we were finally able to check in, after another person came to help out at the desk, we were given a room housekeeping was st...

I just want to start out saying all the staff were wonderful! The manager printed out my return flight voucher because due to wifi not working I could not access from my phone. My room key did not work. The TV was impossible to program. I should not have to do this. Everywhere I have stayed I just turn it on. A very loud drinking party in the cafe area around 10pm. The...

Booked with Agoda with no breakfast and need to pay $14 for breakfast, if I book on its own websit, only $10 more for two... receptions said I cannot upgrade since I booked with Agoda. I will definitely check its own website before confirm the booking. By the way, the room rate was same and I did not save any with Agoda...
Cheap places to stay in Detroit (MI)

I was skeptical about the price, only $48 for a night at a hotel. But I was desperate, having just come off of two consecutive international flights, exhausted, and arriving in Detroit at 1am. I figured anything that allowed me to lay down and sleep would be good. I was very pleasantly surprised to have been picked up within 10 minutes by the free hotel shuttle, was ch...

Upon arrival I was told the room I booked with a King bed was not recommended as it would smell like smoke but I could take a upgraded double queen for the same price. That did not make sense but I was tired and not in the mood to argue. I accepted as long as it would be a clean room. It was not. One of the queen beds was not made well and seemed like it had been slept...

The rooms are clean and it's well-maintained would you believe the premium rooms in the back if you were TV channels than the rooms in front they have not yet installed cable but I trust they will at some time you're still looking at 18 channels the rooms in the back actually do not pick up local channels go figure

If you need a room due to tired, its not too bad. Not too much noise to keep you up, road noise is no issue. You could smell marijuana from a neighboring room. Microwave was bent up, had a fridge, did not use though. Showers were hot, room heater did work and warmed up quick. There is a $50 cash deposit for the room, be aware of that. No frills room.

We are from Ohio and my husband left his wallet in the room and we didn’t notice it missing until the next day and was able to have family get the wallet and all of the money was still in it. Not many people are honest today and we greatly appreciated it.

I stayed in room 241 an accessible room for the physically disabled. On Wednesday May 8th, I called the front desk at 8 AM to report that my toilet was backed up and needed to be plunged. The woman took my room number and said she would leave a note for the maintenance man take care of the problem. I Left for the day, when I returned and used the toilet at 6 PM I fo...

I wish I can attach pictures here. Scariest place I’ve ever been to. Mice under the indoor air conditioning, the shower area was so bad I closed the bathroom door and never went in. So noisy and the smell of marijuana everywhere. People yelling all night and the doors banging. Was a nightmare.

The towels need to be updated, they were dingy and look like they weren't washed so was the floor towel for the shower, and no complimentary breakfast as stated when we booked the room, also no do not disturb signs for the door, no cooking utensils for the kitchenette, just the little things it sometimes make a difference

My first encounter entering the hotel was excellent. Even though there was a line, I was acknowledged & greeted. The front desk lady answered all my questions and made my check-in a breeze. Every person, in fact, was completely hospitable, kind, attentive, and professional. Housekeeping did a wonderful job maintaining the room. The contact to see if I was settled in o...

Visited the restaurant on Friday, good good, service a little slow, but no complaints, room was clean, hotel quiet, finding a parking spot was hard. Visited the breakfast area on Saturday, the food WAS DELICIOUS, the service AWESOME, I will come back just for that!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Booked a double room for an overnight stay. with free cancellation. Arrival time changed so I called to change check-in. They assured me there would be no issue. Once the new check-in time appeared out of reach, I called to cancel the room. Night clerk said my card was charged 7 hours prior and that the free cancellation was only unti...

I painted my house all weekend and didn’t want to sleep in the fumes so I just needed a good night’s rest before work Monday morning. At 1:30am I woke up to fire alarms. I hopped up and prepared to leave, then alarms stopped. I called front desk and asked if I should exit, staff responded “NO, just someone smoking in a room. Everything is safe.” I got back in bed. Alar...
