"We used this hotel as we had a 12 hour 'layover' before our next flight to Thailand. The hotel is within the airport so no need for security checks etc. We were greeted by a really friendly hotel staff member who literally walked us to the hotel reception. Check in was literally done in seconds and were were again walked to our room. Great service, lovely room and a much better alternative than either trying to sleep in a crowded airport lounge; or an expensive Dubai hotel outside of the hotel and all the hassle of getting back and forth. Would definitely use again!!"

"I selected this hotel because it was close to the Dubai Creek, were it seemed a lot of the action would be; also because it's in the old section of town. It was easy to walk the old section of the hotel side of Dubai Creek, and easy to get a boat transfer across the creek to the rest of the old city. Hop-on-hop-off bus stop is just a few minutes walk. There appears to be a late-nite dance club somewhere in the building; I could hear it on my floor (I think I was on the ninth); you may want to ask what floor it's on and make sure you stay a few floors away from the 2AM noise. Breakfast buffet was good, my room didn't include a buffet, if you can add it for $10 it would be advised. I think I paid $12 to take the buffet. Not many places open in the morning for breakfast locally."

"If you happen to have a long layover in Dubai Int'l Airport, this is a place to rest and store your stuff although it doesn't have a shower facility, it's a place you can rest in silence, all these without the need of having to leave the airport."

"It’s been a privilege to have a chance to stay in the hotel which is regarded as the first 5-star hotel in Dubai. The more notable feature about it is it was officially opened by His Highness Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum in 1975. Wow! Sounds like you had a brilliant time treated like distinguished visitor when staying in here. "

"Everything excellent. We had a 13hours transit in dubai . When we arrived at Arrival Hall we follow the Arrival signage (not connecting flight signage) and go to customs then we followed the signage Bus & Hotel shuttle. Basically just outside the Terminal 3 Arrival hall(if you land at Terminal3 like us) then turn on your left side. Go straight until you saw green holiday inn shuttle or other hotel shuttle wait there until you see the holiday inn shuttle. It comes every 30mins . We are happy that when we arrived its already there waiting hehe . Check in was great and easy,we got a non smoking room & then breakfast was lovely. Everything your stomach need to start your day at burj khalifa :) . Take a meter taxi which is available most of the time outside the hotel (the taxi have a yellow box sign at their top) Cost me UAE 34 to dubai mall to snap photos with burj khalifa background view and from dubai mall to airport UAE 35 Cheap and memorable moment in Dubai :) Enjoy & have fun! "I highly recommend the Marco Polo Hotel in Dubai. In the Deira district, it offers beautiful rooms, great restaurants and attentive staff. Nice hotels in Dubai are usually expensive, not so with the Marco Polo. It's not close to the big attractions but the Metro system is a short can ride away. The neighborhood is colorful with many affordable middle eastern restaurants. Highly recommended. "

"Gloria Hotel is my highly recommend Hotel in Dubai. The staffs were nice & helpful. I request to change my room cause I always prefer the bright room easy for me to work in hotel with my laptop. Ms Abigail is one of the staff, as informed by her she will help me to put the note first cause the room was not available now. After I went back hotel in the evening she called me to check whether I need to change the room? She made me feel warm & happy cause she still remembers my requested. The cleaner's Ismail, Rudson and Manoj. They all are very kind & polite to ask me whether I had any request and they will try to full fill it. They always take care of my room cleaning during my stay. Thank you to all of them. "
