A quiet city during the week. Main local attraction is the Dubbo Zoo. A must see attraction, don't go during the day if very hot - the animals are all asleep.
Late afternoon or evening would be better. You can drive, walk, or hire a bicycle to get around.
This city inhabitants are local, indigenous as well as migrants. The feel I had that there are a good number of young families, and a growing properious town.
The town centre is clean and quite a few old buildings including houses have been restored.Locals were friendly in cafes',shops, the Library, and Motels,at the railway station.
Dubbbbbbo, the name speaks for itself. Great town to visit for a weekend away, lot of things to do if you have a few days but would still like to relax.
I would recommend grabbing a bite at the Village bakery cafe, checking out the zoo, going for a horse ride and visiting Dubbo observatory of a night. Also there is a night tour for the gaol but you have to book in advance.
We didn't have enough time to view all the city has to offer, but loved the parks and especially the goal, it was fantastic.
nice palce to drive through, the biggest attraction in the area is the open plains zoo but it is very expensive to go there
Beautiful, very clean city, friendly people, lots and a variety of activities available for the young and not so young.
