Best hotels & accommodations in Fernie (BC)

The staff from, top to bottom, were lovely. Our complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of options, and probably the best I've had. I wish they would of had a magnifying makeup mirror. The linens on the bed were wonderful, I would of liked a not so thick, dense pillow. Minor really.

This is an excellent hotel, especially with kids. The mountains are so beautiful and close to the elk River for rafting makes this a great outdoor adventure base. The kids loved the waterslide and I liked the hot tub! The breakfast was not outstanding but had adequate choices of breads, cereals and fruit. The kids loved the waterslide and I liked the hot tub! The breakfast was not outstanding but had adequate choices of breads, cereals and fruit. It could use some hot meats and eggs but overall you can get enough to eat. The rooms are large and spacious for a whole family. We had an upstairs and downstairs condo style room which the kids loved, a real family room with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. staff here are great! The place is family friendly and fun. Will highly recommend to others to stop and enjoy the city of Fernie.

We had a good stay, place is nice but not as clean as a 4 star should be. We found dust worms in the beds and the ceiling fans blades had about 1 cm of dust on the blades abd upon turning on the fans the dust fell onto the beds. Also 1 shower head fell off. The place is nice, but cleaning and maintenance is lacking.

I was touring by bicycle and this hotel seems custom-made for someone like me. There was a special room for keeping bikes in, a place to wash your bike, and they seemed genuinely pleased to have bicycle tourists stay with them. Not everyone is. The morning "snack" (they were careful not to call it breakfast) was simple but tasty, the rooms were not brand new, but the...

If I owned a hotel, it would be one just like this one, I think.

The picture in the ad was not what we got, that was the show suite. The window was broken, the swap key failed to work, the hot tub was in a dingy back room in the basement, we had to take out our own garbage, no support in the building for problems, etc. Not what was expected!

We came here for a weekend and had a great time. The chalet is lovely, we loved drinking our coffee in the hot tub in the morning. The lock box for check in was straightforward and the instructions were clear. The only complaint we had was the beds are super hard. I had trouble sleeping and I would have expected a place this nice to have slightly comfier mattresses! ...

Traveler impressions of Fernie (BC)
I loved the natural beauty of the area. The old coal and mining town has reinvented itself as a winter sports mecca and summer relaxation and camping/hiking area.
Great fishing in the river, whitewater rafting and other attractions make this the place to be any time of the year.
