"The best things about the hotel are the swimming pool and grounds. The breakfast was typical Italian with both hot and cold items. Breads, cheese, eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, yogurt and full coffee bar. You've fit the option of eating indoors or outdoors. Gorgeous view, great place to sit and eat for hours. The pool is huge and connects to a more shallow pool or baby pool and has a small grassy island in the middle with trees do there's actually shade in the pool if you want. Chairs and towel service top notch. No big crowds or fight for a seat. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The pool was the saving grace of the hotel though. Cons include the location. While in gaeta this hotel is not central in the downtown area. We had a car do this wAs ok. Second we were really disappointed by the rooms. Very small. Beds and linens were old and outdated. Bed not comfortable. Bathroom small as well. Shower located over toilet seat. Drain in floor. Shower curtain but no way to prevent entire floor from getting wet during shower. While this is somewhat common for European hotels we expected better for the price. At $300/night and four star ratings expected more space and more comfortable rooms. Also air conditioning mildly cooled off room. "
