"The new management are lovely (I cannot comment on the previous management). Free laundry, with dryer or clothesline available. Rooms aren’t as sound-proof as I like but then I am particularly fussy about noise (I expect most travellers would not be as finicky as I am). Bed was comfy! The shower more than big enough and was fitted with a door, not a shower-curtain. I would prefer more powerpoints near the bed for charging electronics. A short walk to the sports club for dinner; pay the $5 for sports club membership and get 10% off everything there (meals, drinks), and score some discounts on other local experiences such as golf etc! No room to park a trailer or boat if you’re towing one, but if that is not an issue for you then I highly suggest you stay here."

"As usual, everything is good about this fairly new hotel in Gladstone. Only problem i had was with the air conditioner. I tried for ages to try and get it working only to find out that it was isolated downstairs at reception. They had to turn on and re-set from reception."

"The room was very clean and tidy and well maintained. Was plenty of room for my husband and I for the 2 nights we were there and was walking distance to the venue we were going to for an engagement party. Only thing that I could suggest to improve the room was to raise the tv higher. Apart from that it was great and we would stay again of the need arose. Great value for money"

"This is a quality country hotel in central cbd location. It's one of the first major luxury hotels built in Gladstone. Hotel is a bit dated due to its age but very happy with my stay. Good views, great staff, nice pool. Restaurant is a bit expensive, as are all hotels, but high quality of staff and food is provided and there's a happy hour at the bar from 5-6pm. Would recommend this hotel especially for short stays and would definitely stay again."
