Glasgow hotels & accommodations

Two of us stayed in the Victorian house hotel, mid Feb 2019, for 4 nights. We booked the super king sized room (although, I think we got the king sized room as we had wooden floors, this was not an issue for us at all). Things that were great: Lovely building with lots of character. Location of the hotel was perfect, about 3 min walk and you’re on a main road (Sauchi...

Have just returned from a one night stay at the Point A hotel in Glasgow. I was very impressed. Spacious, modern, double room - with extremely comfy bed - and an equally contemporary shower-room with good shower. I paid £5 for breakfast on checking-in as I was unsure of plans on booking - what a bargain that turned out to be! Four items from a beautifully set out chil...

Good clean, cheap accommodation with a good breakfast in the centre of Glasgow. Hotel is two minutes walk from Central Station and walking distance of the Hydro. Ideal if you are going to an event at the Hydro or want to be in the centre of Glasgow.

Next to station and five minutes away from shops. Beautiful historic hotel with obliging and efficient staff. Great room and ultra clean bathroom. My only niggle was the waiting time at breakfast ... Waiting for eggs to be cooked ... Waiting for juice glasses ... Waiting for more croissants ... Don't let this put you off though - I've stayed in many good hotels in Gla...

Rooms without a window are a bit of a talking point but they are modern, clean and there are no noises from traffic or revelers. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I don't think I will stay at any other Glasgow hotel in future.

I'm a performer and this August , I was performing in Edinburgh fringe. Me and my gf decided to go to Glasgow for a couple of days after I finish with my show. I looked online and found this guest house which was the best and chippest one. I've read some reviews and it seemed everything is fine with this place. A lot of people said the breakfast is so good. I have to...

first time staying in this hotel but will certainly go back again. polite and mannerly service, lovely clean room and excellent location made this a 'hard to beat' hotel in glasgow. we got value for money and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this excellent hotel and will return very soon.

This was a budget hotel with a 5 Star service. I couldn't believe how little I paid for the hotel and that it included car parking and an airport shuttle service. We also eat in the hotel and the food was very good. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel if you are flying from Glasgow International airport and have an early morning flight.

Beautiful building a very short walk from Sauchiehall Street, the staff were brilliant, very helpful. Room was basic (maybe a little dated) but clean and the beds were comfortable. Clean en suite, everything you need for a night in Glasgow. My son and I had breakfast, and for what we paid for the room it was fantastic value. A full cooked breakfast, continental options...

Excellent Stay in Rennie Mackintosh Hotel in Glasgow. Located just two minutes from the "Union Street" exit of Glasgow Central station, we chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the city centre. The check in was very quick and we were staying on the 3rd floor. NOTE - because of the age of the building, there is no lift, so if you need assistance in carrying bags...

Have stayed here quite a few times before, i have always found the hotel to be clean and tidy and the staff freindly. rooms can sometimes be of an odd shape or layout but thats not surprising as its a old building. having said that i should also say that i have never found the rooms to to small, they tend to be of a good size. The breakfast here is one of the best th...

The hotel was in a quiet area very close to the shopping area and it proved a good choice and a good value for money. I was there on business for three days and I enjoyed my stay. Reception service was good and friendly. The taxis ordered were always fast. Breakfast had a continental option and a cooked menu a la carte which was fine with me. The room service I or...

Me and my teenage daughter loved the raddison red our room was very modern the super hero theme is Amazing and our room was.very spacious and very clean the toilet was massive, loved the shower. We were top floor so we had a view. We also loved the sky bar which u must see if staying at this hotel. The beds have to be one of the best I've slept in and I'd definitely re...

Stayed here with my son for one night after seeing Bruno Mars at Glasgow Green. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was small but perfectly adequate for us. The location was perfect. Only approx. 15 min walk to Glasgow Green and the bus station. The bar that joined onto it was great too. Had a lovely very good value meal before the concert, and a gre...

This is my hotel of choice when I need to stay overnight in this area of Glasgow. The staff are welcoming, the bar and restaurant food very good and the rooms are quiet and well-furnished. It is easy to get onto the motorway from the hotel so my journey to and fro the city is easy.

Like some other reviewers, I have a sense of unfairness about some of the reviews I read before booking a three night stay in Smiths Hotel. I rang the hotel after booking and they were most accommodating in granting my requests. There were a couple of things that needed putting right when we arrived: these were sorted efficiently and quickly. We found that there was ab...

After staying at many hotels in Glasgow, I would highly recommend the Blythswood square, as one of the best available. Perfectly located for easy access, to all the main places in central Glasgow. A warm welcome and very helpful staff. Well equipped rooms that are well maintained and looked after.

we had a wonderful overnight stay at the fraser suites in glasgow. we were stunned by just how big the studio apartment that we had booked turned out to be. the room had two tv's, dvd player, ipod dock, a sitting area with couch, cooking facilities and fridge. the room was large, extremely clean and very very comfortable. the staff were helpful and friendly when we ...

We had a fab time at the GoGlasgow from start to finish. We travelled up from Manchester but with satnav we found the hotel easily. It's two minutes away from Ibrox. We have travelled extensively and always stayed in 4-5 star hotels. I was rather worried prior to arrival as this hotel is only classed as a 3 star. I needn't have worried as this hotel is definitely wor...

It was good overall, but the windows in the rooms are really small. TV channels are limited and there was no stand for a suitcase in an otherwise very bare hall-way. The bar is dark and uninviting. Slippers were good although bathrobes a bit past their best. However it was still the best hotel we've stayed over the last 20 tears in coming to Glasgow but a good inspecti...

The hotel is well located if you plan to travel mostly by train. It is walking distance to Glasgow Queen Street station as well as Glasgow Central Station. It also located near st enoch centre one of the mall in Glasgow and the argyle steet a pedestrian shopping Rea in mechant city. The bed is comfortable and the room is big enough. Stayed 1 night in Glasgow. Hotel is located about a 30 minute walk from the city centre (which is a bit far) but has many other nice things around in the area to see and some nice eateries as well. We stopped at an Indian restaurant on the way about 1-2 minutes which was really nice. The hotel is in good condition, very well presented, rooms are clean and well furnishe...

Super hotel, perfect location, well appointed rooms, caring and efficient staff, nice restaurant and lovely bar. I reported after departure that I had lost a cufflink somewhere in my room, and this was promptly discovered and airmailed tom y home in Hong Kong: very impressive service indeed. Would recommend this hotel strongly to even the most discerning traveller and ...

Booked this hotel last minute and for under £35 got a clean, quiet, single ensuite room with a decent cooked breakfast. Also tea and coffee were supplied in my room which was great. All staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful, location was excellent as I wanted to be based in the West End of Glasgow. Would recommend to other travellers who don't want to pay a fo...

Excellent professional but extremely polite and friendly staff. Rooms very clean and facilities great. Breakfast more than adequate and great choice. This is second time we have had short break in Glasgow at this hotel. Only short taxi ride to the SSC and short down hill stroll to city centre, so may require short taxi ride back, if slight hill an issue. There is a sa...

Generally a nice hotel, with warm friendly staff. Great location in the central of Glasgow with good links to the airport and railway stations. Very close to the nightlife with choice of many types of cuisine within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Rooms were a good size. Access to a gym and sauna on the 6 floor with a good view of Glasgow.

A nice little hotel in the heart of the city. Our room was small, but spotlessly clean as was the bathroom, obviously newly fitted. The view was a brick courtyard but we didn't come to Glasgow to sit in the room and look out the window 😀For £80 for three people on a Saturday night in December, a steal.

The Hilton Glasgow hotel located near to the highway which is the first stop from Glasgow Airport. It took approximate 30 minutes from the Glasgow Airport. Although its location is at the edge of the Glasgow centre, it only takes 10 minutes walk to the Glasgow center. The hotel room is very clean, tidy and sufficient space. You will find everthing you want at the room....

Our stay in Glasgow was short, but made complete by the staff and location of the Argyll Guest House. The room was large, very clean, and just right for our family. I would recommend without reservation for anyone needing to stay near the museums or the university. Really enjoyed the guest house. Staff was exceptionally informative and friendly. Among the best staffs w...

was really impressed at the nice room, lots of character, cosy and comfortabl, small but 20x nicer than the big chain hotels in Glasgow, had character and id be happy to stay there again. got very good deal, might be a bit steep if normal price given its not in the town centre but ill recommend it for friends needing somewhere in west end, i really liked it!

Great location for West End of City easy access to public transport .Breakfast plentiful and well cooked served by pleasant staff. Room small but comfy clean bed shared large bathroom. Great price with breakfast included this hotel is excellent value for a couple of nights stopover in Glasgow .

The hotel rooms were nice and large and they were all very well maintained and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a good location only a 10 minute walk from the Clydebank shopping centre and a 30 minute walk from the Queens Jubilee Hospital.

Following a week touring Scotland the Scotia Hotel met our needs for a place to refresh and regroup prior to our trip back to the US. We checked in then walked less than ten minutes to catch the train to center city Glasgow. Once there we enjoyed getting to spend some time in a vibrant city. We ended our stay in Scotland with a tour of Tennent's brewery and a meal a...

Good clean, cheap accommodation with a good breakfast in the centre of Glasgow. Hotel is two minutes walk from Central Station and walking distance of the Hydro. Ideal if you are going to an event at the Hydro or want to be in the centre of Glasgow.

We booked 2 small double rooms with shared bathroom for 1 night as an overnight stay for a friends wedding. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Glasgow for a longer trip but would go for an en-suite room for convenience. The bed was very comfortable and had a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. We booked a parking space for £5 which is recommended as ther...

Excellent location for visiting the West End of Glasgow, in particular my linking up with one of my sons @ Glasgow University. Ready vehicular access with reasonable cost of on-street parking on Sauchiehall Street. Nice accommodation, stayed room only two nights so can't comment on breakfast standard. Certainly would book again

Very friendly check in staff. Nice room clean a smelling fresh. Good restaurant area nice bar. WiFi is terrible to non existent. Spoke to a staff member about it was told that many guests were using it and that was why it was slow. At 2 in the morning it was the same, I could not connect. Like other hotels in the area I wish they would move the smoking zone away from t...

Fantastic hotel. Try to stay at least once a month. Great hotel for relaxing. Staff are fab they so care about their guests. Lived in Glasgow for many years and came back wanting a night out in our old favourite bars on Sauchiehall Street. All the hotel options were overpriced and pretty poor - when did glasgow hotels become such a rip off. This was a great option - fab price, great location, basic but very clean and comfortable room. Perfect!

My first time in Glasgow for meeting after a short stay in a B&B in London, I felt great staying at Ambassador which was clean and comfy - the British B&B one would imagine. A big thumps up ! Advice : make sure to book for your breakfast one day before if it is not part of your booking.

Rooms without a window are a bit of a talking point but they are modern, clean and there are no noises from traffic or revelers. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I don't think I will stay at any other Glasgow hotel in future.

Great location, lots of "hip" restaurants around the corner, bus to town and central bus station directly in front of the hotel. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. We had a very quiet room on the 4th floor facing to the backyard. We would stay there again on our next visit to Glasgow.

After the first arrival, our family had been treated warmly by Thai staff (Ms.Eddie) in the castle hotel. Essentially it was so surprising that a Thai person existed here in remoting area! This made our trip very smooth to communicate and the hotel is very beautiful and classic. Although the hotel is a bit far from city centre in Glasgow, it probably is the ideal place...

Had a most enjoyable few days exploring the museums and sights of Glasgow. Good large apartment [Two bedrooms not one?] clean and meeting our needs. Would I change anything? Perhaps more utensils for self-catering which we do but obviously others don't.

This hotel was generally very nice, although the few negatives mean that I would probably look elsewhere if I were to stay in Glasgow again. The bed in particular was very uncomfortable, which is surprising for a Marriot hotel. However, the breakfast was fantastic and the location of the hotel was good if you like being within a taxi ride of most places of interest in ...

As someone who frequented the early "Mal" concept it was pleasing to see this style continue in Glasgow. Food was excellent, staff were great, room stylish and clean... if I had any criticism - bed was soft and dipped due to wear. Improvements - a small gym on site rather than third party close by would have been great. Will certainly book here again and is a welcom...

Very clean and spacious apartments in the centre of Glasgow with your own kitchen and living room. I always stayed in hotels, but now I prefer to stay in an apartment while it gives you so much more freedom and you feel less far from home if you are on bussiness for a longer time Also perfect for families or bigger groups.

i was in glasgow on business. The hotel is located on the river which is a pleasant walk, right opposite the science museum, there appaeared to be a lot of renovation work in the area, with new buildings emerging. The staff were very pleasant and the food was good, i would recommend the hot plate as the aa carte was a bit empty wallett empty stomach!

It was my first stay at the hotel which is located in the city centre. I paid another 20pounds per night to upgrade my room to executive suite. Short stroll from Central Station. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. Friendly lady on reception. Very spacious Appartment. Only qualm was master double bedroom was two single mattresses pushed together, so it was uncomfortable down the middle of the bed if you wanted a cuddle with your partner. Great city with lots to do and friendly people, however downside is the poor standard of food and service in too many restaurants & cafe's
Glasgow is a beautiful city. It has many beautiful old and ancient medieval buildings (solidly built), historical sites/features such as famous monuments, cathedrals, museum, walk squares and universities etc.
Such a wealth of things to do, visiting churches, museums and parks as well as bars and theatre. Friendly helpful people
Different from Edinburgh, Edinburgh is one with more historical feeling while Glasgow is one with artistic design feel. When walking along the streets, a simple building will give you sense of artistic beauty.
First time we have been to the city, would come again, lots of landmarks & museums - which are free to enter.
Amazing city. If you like charity shops Byres Road and Dumbarton Roads are the place to go. Lots of great architecture around the central area.
Glasgow is a fantastic city the slogan People make Glasgow is very apt as there are more characters in Glasgow than any other city including the capital.
I went to Glasgow to see the old world sites and culture and was pleasantly surprised by the mixture of cosmopolitan attractions such as restaurants and shopping.
Glasgow is an exceptional city to explore. The history is absolutely amazing and so romantic. If you are Canadian you will see the immenseness of the Scottish involvement in Canada dating back 100's of years.
Glasgow is a very bright city by night. We feel safe to walk around the city even at places where there is not many people as the city is well lit all over.
the Lychee oriental chinese 59 mitchell street provided an excellent meal it is down a drab side street but don't be put off by this the service and food are excellent good value for money Cafe Gandolifi was wounderfull for a relaxing sunday morning breakfast but its better to book even for breakfast.
It was an old city with lots of historic buildings, however, not very well maintained like those in London.
Been here for the second time and this time was for my MBA convocation. Compared to the first visit in year 2004, it's was different feeling.
It is very different from Edinburgh and still seems to be trying to she'd it's working class background.
Glasgow is large scottish city with good logistics to get anywhere else in Scotland, so you can find good hotel there and warm scotish atmosphere.
Glasgow is a little bit boring but they have Mackintosh! Seeing the buildings and comparing the details will be nice.
Glasgow has a great selection of museums and art galleries, with the city holding a wonderful art collection.
glasgow is an easy city to get to, serviced by an international airport and two train stations, shuttle bus service into city is quick and cheap and getting about in the city is easy with a great taxi and cab service and underground.
Great way to see all the attractions in Glasgow on the bus! Great for photography and if you love to admire all the great architectural designs in Glasgow.
Glasgow people are friendly, Plenty to see and do . Nightlife great, good restraunts and interesting museums and art.
A great city to visit and easy to get around as good infrastructure. Great restaurants and plenty of night life.
Do get Glasgow in your itinerary of Scotland together with Edinburgh. Both cities are connected by a cheap bus service run by Scottish Citylink and Stagecoach Xpress running bus 900 for only GBP4!
Visit Slouch on Bath St. for a nice atmosphere and great food and drink. For great curry visit the Wee Curry Shop on Bucceleuch St.
