Chevron Renaissance Private Apartments
Surfers Paradise,Gold Coast - View on map
"Excellent location, indoor pool was great for winter as it was warm and it did not matter the weather, we could still use facilities. If i could find a downfall, it would be private apartments only give you 1 towel for each bed so had to reuse towel for swimming and bathing and could not call reception if you haf an issue etc as it is seperate to the non private apartments. But honestly overall it was great"

Baronnet Holiday Apartments
Surfers Paradise,Gold Coast - View on map
"This must be the best value on the Gold Coast. Apartment style is my preference as hotel rooms are usually too small for us. This is a spacious apartment relatively new, clean and has everything you could possibly want. A fully decked out kitchen (utensils, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans etc..), a laundry with washing machine and dryer, a balcony with a nice ocean view and a nice living area with a tv that has Foxtel with free movie channels. The only negatives - the bed was really soft but I slept on the super comfy couch! There is construction happening across the road so there is building noise from around 7am to about 4pm but we were out then anyway. At night it's very quiet and the sounds of the ocean are so relaxing. The location is great and an easy 5-10min walk to the heart of Surfers. There is a tram stop nearby, the beach is 200 metres away and there is also a pool, a spa and free secure basement parking. "

Woodroffe Hotel
Southport,Gold Coast - View on map
"Pros: - Close to so many Gold Coast attractions and shopping centres via car (approx. 15 mins away from the theme parks and malls) - New hotel so it was clean and tidy - The male receptionists were friendly and helpful - After hour calls were picked up quickly and action was done to resolve issues promptly - Room was brightly lit from big window - Bed and towels were clean - Carpet was soft - Air con worked well - Shower head produced hot water fast - Many body towels, floor towels and hand towels were provided - Ample street car parking nearby Cons: - WiFi is very slow - No slippers provided (not a big issue but could prevent possible stains on carpet and maintain cleanliness) - Blanket was quite thin - No pools/gym - Shower glass isn't wide so the water flows onto bathroom tiles - Reception desk isn't available after hours - Cleaning service doesn't run on Sundays and Public Holidays - Secure underground car parking is $20/night and is very tight-spaced"

Chateau Beachside Resort
Surfers Paradise,Gold Coast - View on map
"Chateau is nto a 5 stars hotel, but definitely a hidden jewel in Gold Coast which have given us a lot of surprises. The hotel is cleam & simple enough to meet your daily requirements. Nothing can beat a super seaview room sitting right infront of the beach, which makes me relax at night & eager to wake up next morning enjoying the lovely seaview, listening to the waves & feeling the sea breeze. The location is super. Famous Surfer Paradise is right infront the moment you step out. LV, Rolex, etc. are located next to it. Famous nightlife Orchard Avenue is sitting right behind. 5 mins walk to major shopping center Centro with varieties of restaurants & bars. Supermarket is 5 mins walk as well. Beachside night market on every Wed, Fri & Sun is right infront. All major city attractions like Skypoint, Infinity, Jetboat, Ripley, 7D cinemas are all locating nearby. Bus access is 2 block behind. All these show how Chateau is strategically located. The self-claimed best buffet breakfast is not up to the standard, but the 2 cafes across the road are well aclaimed for their food quality & coffees. The most important is all these come with a reasonable price. I won't say is chear, btu with all these features, what else to complain. "

Beachcomber Resort Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise,Gold Coast - View on map
"I am 75 years old and have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Beachcomber Surfers Paradise with my 8 year old great-grandson. We were amazed at how spacious the apartment was. We just loved it. We had a twin bedroom, a large bathroom (a bath as well as shower and toilet), washing machine and dryer, big kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave, loads of cupboard space and kitchen utensils. The combined lounge/ dining room gave magnificent views (we were on the 21st floor), as did our large balcony which had another table and chairs. The Beachcomber is in an ideal position ... just minutes from everything in Surfers Paradise and a bus ride away from Seaworld (our Tuesday destination) and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (our Wednesday outing). I was fortunate enough to have booked early for this school-holiday period and to have obtained a 30% discount. The total for three nights was $228.90 ... just amazing. If you want to be pampered and have your beds made and towels changed every day, this may not be for you. However, we just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable and that is what we got. Thank you to the staff I dealt with, all of whom were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in returning to the Beachcomber should I be looking for Gold Coast accommodation in the future, and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone who will listen. Eight year old James says, "Tell them it was AWESOME!" "Tell them it was AWESOME!!!" "

"We are from Melbourne and the weather is crazy as usual. Therefore, we have tried to have at least 2 get away trips a year. We both love Gold Coast and we've been here quite often and this is our 6th times in this lovely holiday paradise. We were staying at Hotel Grand Chancellor and Hilton once of each time but our favourite hotel is Watermark Surfers Paradise. The hotel were both very ordinary and we didn't enjoy our stay there. Room rate and quality of room is pretty good and this is 4th time we have stayed at Watermark hotel. From front office desk when we check in until we get a drink from hotel bar staff is great experience they have been very friendly and helpful. Last but not least, after a long day for outdoor activities you should relax in hotel spa and swimming pools and I'm sure you will love it. We would definitely come back and strongly recommend to our family and friends this hotel when they visit Gold Coast in the future. Thanks and keep doing a great jobs guys. Cheers "

Miami Shore Apartments & Motel
Miami,Gold Coast - View on map
"An indian couple owned this motel and they have done very well to make me feel at home. From the entrance where i saw the huge swing to the swimming pool and dining tables at the open. I got a free upgrade from a twin room to a room with 2 twin beds and a queen bed! The toilet wasn't big but sufficient! The location is good for car drivers, where you could go to Movie world, sea world in less than half an hour. In summary, i love the place and will definitely be back the next time I visit gold coast! p.s. i also loved the small details they had, like having cutlery and plates in the room. What a pleasant surprise when i opened the cardboard. "

More about Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a popular destination, not only for foreign tourists, but for Australians as well. The 20-mile stretch of sand offers high fashion, pleasurable activities and attractions, and more than 30 great beaches.

Surfers Paradise is certainly one of the city’s greatest draws. It’s pretty much easy living here with budget accommodation hosting visitors for lazy days on the beach and wild nights on the dance floor. Student, surfers, and backpackers are the ones ideally catered to by this area.

A classier option to Surfer’s Paradise would be Broadbeach. This area offers a more mature night scene with restaurants, bars, and casinos offering a more mass appeal. A step up from here would be Burleigh Heads. This area boasts one of the most popular beaches on the Gold Coast as well as luxury resorts and entertainment facilities.

The family-friendly side to the city can be found amongst the several theme parks. Sea World graces the city center, and Warner Bros Movie World, Dream World, and Australian Outback Spectacular are more favorites visitors can enjoy.

Visitors to the region will be welcomed via Gold Coast Airport. A Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle can help get new arrivals to their hotel, and public transport options are excellent in central districts.
