A wonderful place to explore the rich heritage and interesting past of the people who once dwelled in the caves.
This place is truly amazing - definitely our highlight of the holiday and quite probably one of the most interesting places we;'ve visited.
The landscape is amazing, creeping right into the town itself. The balloon rides are spectacular and well worth the money (Istanbul Balloons recommended). The other sites are fantastic - the Open Air Museum, we were a little sceptical after already having seen many cave churches, but these ones are amazing. The Ilhara Valley is well worth the visit as well. The best thing about this are is not only are the landscapes truly mind-blowing, but they are interwoven with thousands of years of history and culture, which really elevates this place above other similar landscape attractions. Genuinely amazing - a must visit!
Absolutely stunning. In comparison to its sister town, Urgup - Goreme is small but packed wiht punch.
The village is surrounded by fairy chimnies and beautiful pidgeon holed mountains. It seems much more beatuiful and close to nature in comparison to Urgup.
Must go to all sightseeing locations. Great place to enjoy sunset. I recommend the balloon flight with your loved one or your friends.
