"We got a good price, but for a Baymont it’s not very nice. Things are a little run down. The bed was okay and all we were doing was sleeping there so it functioned for us. The one thing I wanted to do was watch Sunday night football on NBC but they didn’t have any NBC, ABC, CBS, it FOX affiliate. Next time we’re in the area we’ll try something else. "

"Overall our experience was great! However, when I went to go retrieve my 2nd free drink, I was questioned if I had another adult with me and my three children. I felt very judged, like having kids with me in a hotel means I’m not allowed to kick back with a couple (weak) drinks. "

"Pros: (1) Location Location! Close to the airport, 28th street is THE COMMERCIAL center of Grand Rapids, close to dozens of top restaurants, Wal Mart Lowes Home Depot Mejiers Costco, shopping centers, etc (2) indoor pool spa (3) Clean rooms (4) Friendly Staff (5) Free breakfast, WiFi (6) Book on Agoda or Experia and save a bundle all the time I have stayed here 4 weeks so far this year Cons: (1) Maintenance sux. Pool access door doesn't lock, a 3 YO could enter by themselves (2) Pool attracts droves of noisy children with no parental supervision at times. Last night had a half dozen kids doing cannonballs in pool with "No Diving". Yeah a lousy parenting thing but you have to live with it. (3) Spa Entrance handle is half broken, spa timer does not work, spa is relatively cool, etc. (4) "free breakfast" is worth what you pay for! (5) Carpets are getting a little tattered, place is not aging well."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Sleep inn... comfy beds and the design of the rooms were very inviting and homey...my only complaint is the random noises the hour the day...& night... it sounds as if SomeoneSomeone was tryung to open my door... of course I checked and my brain was tricking me lol .. but I'm still unsure of the tapping noises in the wall and the door pulling is coming from... also, u can hear everyone's conversation in the room... or outside the room.. depending on where ur at, the other side of the door/wall can listen to u clear as day... so,I guess I'd say,/ thatjhere's a lack of privacy and I love that u just said that and dipped leaving me to deal with the profanity lol thanks... thanks Choice Hotels.... I'll b back to stay at one of their hotels...usually the Quality Inn"

"I've stayed here several times and it is hit or miss each time; each experience is different with some being good, others ok, and still others not good at all. -Hotel supposedly has a no smoking policy but every room I've ever stayed in there smelled like cigarette smoke. -Some nights, even during the week, there are people out on the parking lot loitering and making a lot of noise. -The TV channel package is sorely lacking good channels. Better to watch shows on your laptop via wifi. -They often run out of single rooms, and depending who is working the counter, sometimes you can get a double for the price of a single. The nicer black woman will accommodate you whereas the older white woman will NOT! -Breakfast is not worth getting out of bed. -One night I could not sleep because my bed was so uncomfortable. It had a major dip in the middle of the mattress. It was so bad that I actually got out of bed, turned on the a light, and lifted the mattress to see if the box springs or slats were broken. Avoid room #228 is my best advice. -Shower stalls are nice, probably the best feature of this property. -Convenience store right across the street from the front office is very convenient to walk to 24 hrs. -Single rooms have a fridge and microwave while the doubles do not...good to know if they offer you a double for the price of a single when out of singles."

"Staff was friendly, and it wasn't in a horrible neighborhood. But the room cleanliness could have been better for sure. Room was not vacuumed beforehand, at least not all of it. Wife and I found crumbs all along the floor on the side of one of the beds. I've definitely stayed in worse hotels but it wouldn't be my go to. "

"The Agoda site lists this hotel as having an indoor pool which they do not have. That was a major issue as that was one of the main criteria for selecting this hotel. We were allowed however to use the pool at the Sleep Inn a mile away. We had reserved a suite for our family of 5 which we found when we arrived wasn't available (a staff error) The staff gave us two rooms for the price of the suite which more than compensated for the error. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was typical average free breakfast. The staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating."
