This place offers cheap accommodation that's enough for a few night's stay, however the staff do not seem to know what to do or what is included in the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful but did not know that there was a body wash dispenser in the shared bathrooms and we went to buy our own toiletries. The walls were not soundproof at all, being able to hear even whispers from adjacent rooms. I also received itchy hives from I believe sleeping close to the wall. I suspect that the wall must be disinfected or avoid sleeping next to it. Windows did not have flyscreen so we couldn't open the windows without a face full of flies. Would recommend for a stay maybe for a pitstop but not a holiday destination.

Stayed at hotel one night while taking a trip on a great ocean road. Very conviniet location of motel, just few minutes drive from the centre of apollo bay. We (4 adults) rented family room - consist of two rooms 1 king size bed in 1st room and 3 single beds in second room. Tv, kitchenette (fridge, microwave, teapot). Electric matresses - is a BIG PLUS!!! even more - electric heater in a room. Very friendly owner provided information on sights around, map and leaflets, advised on route. Free parking space just in front of room. Strongly recommed this motel to everyone, especially to families with children.

For my partner and I this was the perfect accommodation for a weekend away. Being the time of the great ocean road marathon the location was perfect, not to close to the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the festival. Walking distance to main town centre. The room itself was very lovely with a homely feeling, very clean and tidy. Will definitely be returning.

I stayed at double room with private bathroom. This room have the stunning panorama view. You can count the stars at night and enjoy the sea view and sunrise from your bed. The staff Lilian and her friend are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house have fully equipped cooking utensils and sea view dining hall. You can enjoy your breakfast with beautiful sea view. You won't regret to stay at here if you drop by Apollo Bay.

Our accommodation was beautifully designed, modern, clean and fresh with our parking space immediately outside. The beach was just across the road. We were in the centre of town with good restaurants nearby and a large supermarket within 5 minutes stroll. The internet was good. We received a lovely welcome from the lady at the front desk with lots of helpful advice about what to do and where to go in Apollo Bay. Altogether a great stopover on our tour of The Great Ocean Road.

We had the best time just leisurely driving the Great Ocean Road stopping at Anglesea, Apollo Bay and onto 12 Apostles. Checking into A Great Ocean View Motel completes our wonderful visit. It has parking facilities and wifi in our room. Our room faces the sea and it is lovely just to wake up and watch the ocean. The reception staff were friendly and courteous. Our room facilities like heater, toaster, among others. It is easy to locate as it is facing the main road. We will definitely come again to this wonderful place.

We travelled from Melbourne to Apollo Bay to stay for the night before heading down to the Twelve Apostles at Port Campbell. Apollo Bay is not a big town, and the Great Ocean Road is pretty much occupied by motels side by side. Coastal Motel is clean, one of the better designed (if not the best) motels in town. All rooms were booked out for the night and we were glad to get a room here for the night. The space is big and has everything we needed for the night. TV channels were great to keep us entertained since shops close early here. Very quick check in and an even easier check out (simply drop off the keys in the check out box and off you go). Parking is also available with your personal lot right outside your room. A great experience on our Great Ocean road trip.

We stayed one night at The Apollo Apartment which is in a great location. It is right along the Great Ocean Road, almost directly opposite the Information Centre in Apollo Bay and walking distance to stores and restaurants. We were slightly disappointed to realise only the penthouses had a good sea view. We could only see a small portion of the ocean from the side balcony and it was maybe 1/4 of the view? Overall though, it is a nice place, with friendly staff and good cleanliness.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Castaway. The place ist amazing. Very clean, comfortable beds and a wonderful view. It is really peaceful and you can hear the ocean. So relaxing. Really loved the breakfast basket that was waiting for us when we arrived. It offered everything we needed: bread, cereals, jam, milk, juice, coffee and tea and more. Would stay here again.

The host was really x100 nice!! I went here from Korea with my mother. Unfortunately, we had gotten a little accident in Melbourne at the day we booked, so we went here Apollo bay so late at night. But he welcomed us warmly and prepared the room quickly, in addition, the breakfast was so delicious. Furthermore, on the next day, we had to depart in early morning, but as we had an accident with a rented car, he helped us to find bus schedule and dropped us to the bus station. I will never forget his help and kindness! If I get a chance to go apollo bay once more, I'll visit here again! The host here is really warm-hearted person and Apollo bay is so so wonderful city. Frankly, apollo bay is pretty far from Melbourne, but the ocean road and going this place and all of the chllenges we meet while getting here is worth it enough. Thank you so much.

I chose Casa Favilla Bed and Breakfast as a place for my wife and I to stay during our trip along the Great Ocean Road due to its location, affordable price and the reviews and images on Agoda's website; thankfully it lived up to its reputation. It was a perfect place to base ourselves for 2 nights, allowing us the chance to explore the Great Otway National Park during the day and then unwind at night. In the morning, there was a wide variety of cereals, breads, toasts, fresh fruit, juices, tea and coffee to start the day with. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming and was great to have a chat with. It is literally on the Great Ocean Road, just a short walk from the beach and a nice stroll from the Apollo Bay town centre. Casa Favilla was terrific value for money, very clean and comfortable (the room itself was enough for two people, with a reasonable bathroom, kitchenette and a small backyard balcony too - great for a quiet glass of wine at the end of the day). I would highly recommend Casa Favilla B&B as a place for couples to stay if visiting Apollo Bay (note: it is not set up to cater for families).

We spent one night in Comfort Inn, We drove right in, parked and checked in. The lady boss was very nice and helpful. The hotel is next to the main stretch of food outlets and shops in Apollo Bay. Room is a little dated, but standard room amenities were all present and everything was working and clean. Check out was quick and fuss free too. Overall a very pleasant stay in Apollo Bay during our Great Ocean Road trip.

The location of these villas/cabins is great - up on a hill, in the woods, with views of the coastline and the forested hinterland. It is on its own on a hilltop, though there is a (separate) restaurant more or less on the premises. The nearest larger town on the Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay, is about a 10 minute drive away. Easy. The villas have a very modern design and layout, lovely terraces with good BBQs and generally well-equipped kitchens so great for self-catering. It's easy to get to a number of Great Ocean Road and hinterland nature attractions, so a great base that is a lovely oasis as it is very quiet and peaceful. A cockatoo visited us every morning and evening on the terrace - just perfect.

**Followed me to see more reviews on hotel, restaurant and places" Booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. This place is easy to locate just behind the ONLY petrol station in Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay is a great place to stay in the middle of Great Ocean Road. That allows you to travel within a 2 to 3 hours day trip radius up until Warnambool to enjoy your day trip. 3rd time staying in Apollo Bay and this is the best accommodation I had stayed in. Not much interaction with the hotel staff. Only get to see the lady who showed me to my apartment thereafter did not see any of the staffs. The other time was on the day I check out to hand over my keys. Cons -The rubbish bin is inside the cabinet and it is quite troublesome and small to hold 2 nights of rubbish. There is no extra plastic bag for the bin provided. Pros -Within 5 to 10mins walking distance to town and supermarket. - Full kitchen and cooking utensils with laundry washer/dryer. -Comfortable bed for a good night rest plus ther

Everything you need is provided at the Apollo Bay Cottages. From a full-fledged kitchen to washing machine and dryer, BBQ grill in the garden, the obligatory wifi, most comfortable beds and even your own private fireplace in the living room and whirlpool spa in the bathroom. It's a perfect accommodation to recharge when you travel the Great Ocean Road - or to linger a bit longer if you can! :)

Having now stayed at the Captain's At The Bay Hotel, I'm very surprised at some of the less than praise filled reviews that I read whilst looking for Apollo Bay accommodation. In short, I think that the Captain's At The Bay Hotel is an absolutely fantastic place to stay and I'd not hesitate to book to stay there when next I'm in the vicinity of Apollo Bay. The room was modern, spacious and very well equipped and the included continental style breakfast was an unexpected bonus that saved my partner and me at least $30 between us. Whilst the Captain's At The Bay Hotel is a block back from the main road along the beach that's a very minor issue - especially when sitting and gazing at the beach isn't high on one's agenda. I'll be recommending at Captain's At The Bay Hotel to anyone that I know who is driving the Great Ocean Road as a wonderful and well priced place to stay.

Everything is good except the check-in experience. The location of the hotel is very good close to beach and local restaurant & cafe. The room is clean and very well equipped. We arrived around 5:30 PM, but we couldn't find anybody to help us to check in on site. Called the mobile number from the link on Agoda, nobody answered the phone. We got the help from another guest who booked the room via Airbnb directly, they gave us correct phone number so that we got contact with Jess who helped us to check in. Hope the check in process can be improved in future.
