“I have stopped in a lot of hotels in Guangzhou and this is by far the best. I have stopped here 3 times now and on each occasion the quality as been very high in all areas. There is so much to do within the hotel. The gym, the pool and the man made waterfall in the back of the hotel is a great feature.”

“Stupidly, because of China's obsession with new is great and old is not, this beautiful hotel is being closed for a year while it is probably gutted and replaced by a shiny, aluminium and concrete monstrosity. I have used the White Swan all year as a home away from home and I cannot fault the place. The rooms were comfortable, well-appointed and clean. Breakfast, without being as exceptional as the China Hotel in Guangzhou, was still a very nice experience with a good choice of Asian and Western cuisine. Whoever looks after staff training at this hotel should be given the job of being in charge of the hospitality industry in China -- it certainly needs someone.”

“Close proximity to Guangzhou East Train station was the main reason for choosing this hotel as we came up from Hong Kong on train, taxi only costs ¥11 to hotel. There's a free shuttle bus but needs 30min advanced booking so easier to take a Taxi, otherwise it's a 15min walk. Facilities wise more or less the same for a 5 stars chain hotel. Didn't eat at the restaurant or use the gym or spa but they look nice enough. Check in staff was very kind to upgrade for a deluxe room since I was travelling with my father to visit relatives in Guangzhou. The staff gave us a bigger room in case we want to invite relatives up to the room which we never asked for. My experience with 5 stars hotels in Guangzhou is that if you are a member of their loyalty programme they usually will give you a nice room. It happened with Hilton, Hilton Double Tree and Crown Plaza.”

“Stayed at the Dong Fang during the Canton Fair, and despite the hefty price tage (all hotels in Guangzhou massively increase rates during these periods!) it was certainly worthwhile. The hotel itself is huge, and I understand that some rooms have been renovated, whilst others are still waiting to be renovated. Contains all features of an international 5 star hotel, and I was very happy with the size of the room. The bed was comfortable, and shower and additional bathtub were also great. Room service wasn't amazing but this can certainly be excused as breakfast was excellent”

“I have always stay in Guangzhou Hotel for almost 11 years. It was a great place - great location BUT... there is a major renovation in the facade of the hotel. Very dusty and for every construction there are a lot of insects flying around. And I am super afraid of disease brought about by insects. Other than that, the HOTEL is generally my favorite hotel in Guangzhou..”

“Best location in Guangzhou, very centrally located with subway station very close by on the ground floor, The breakfast is always excellent with all inclusive choices. The food manager & captain constantly on the breakfast room to look after guests need, he even listened to my advice how to improve the morning fried egg delivery system immediately by telling the chef to implement the change....I was very impressed with the management attitude & policy. Front reception & cleaning services are both flawless. The room rate is very competitive to others & since I have been coming to this hotel in Guangzhou for last 4 years I have not found any other hotels nearby have this overall excellent qualities & convenience. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.”

“Lido Hotel is the best hotel in Guangzhou because it is a cheap price and near Beijing Road which is a famous shopping center in Guangzhou . The room have a good facility. And you can go to anyway in Guangzhou comfortable by taxi because it is in a center of Guangzhou City.”

“Its always exciting when i check in at Landmark Hotel in Guangzhou, the place was so inspiring and lovely specially at night.i am always fascinated by the cruising ships restaurant at the river with lots guests enjoying the cruise. How lovely it is with its colorful lights and nice sounds. It is so comfortable doing some business at the hotel and very accessible where ever you want to go in guangzhou.”

“Had been waiting for the link to review Fu Ho Hotel. Had too many email addresses I didn't realize it was sent to my QQ email address. Anyway, I like the twin bed unit I got from Fu Ho Hotel, room 719. It got almost everything: flat TV, two comfortable beds, towels, cabinet. As far as I saw, no refrigerator. Check-in was fast. I just got scared this one time I plugged my laptop charger, for unknown reasons, it made a tiny sound of electrocuting, followed by a smell of burnt metal and total blackout in my room (although the TV stayed on); I think it happened one day before my check-out. Good thing the service was fast; after calling the receptionist, a technician arrived to check things out instantly. In any case, the whole time I was in Guangzhou, I only stayed in this hotel from June 1st to 8th. It's definitely right at the heart of Guangzhou as the tourist spots are nearby. I plan to stay here again if I get the chance to come back to Guangzhou for the 3rd time. :-)”

“Hlife Hotel is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in Guangzhou. Located at Kingold Century Plaza and just opposite Grand Hyatt hotel. Everything feels really new and clean. Great location at a nice area of new town, just few mins walking distance to Zhujiang New Town Station inside G.T. Land Plaza. Great service!! The people at Hlife are SUPER NICE! 1. When I checked into my room, the shower room frosted glass door was not tightly fixed in place and couldn't shut properly. Called the reception counter, in less than 2 mins, the technician came to fix it. 2. Big Thank You to Ethan (Hotel receptionist) , he helped us to arrange a delivery of a parcel to our agent in Dongguan. Even went down and deliver it himself. And also called a cab for us to the airport. Really appreciate it. 3. Every morning I walked out my room, everyone smiles at you and said "Good Morning". I'll definitely recommend this place to others, and will definitely come back when I'm in town.”

“I like to try luxury hotels in different cities I travel to, and we were going to Guangzhou so I thought we'd try this Langham. The hotel is design-y in terms of the architecture and the interior design, our room on the 13th floor was spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I loved it. Overall I think it was worth the money, however, there were a few downsides. Location is a bit off. It's not difficult to get a taxi when using a taxi app, but it is a bit far so once you are at the hotel you probably don't want to venture out to town. When taking a shower, the drain of our shower was blocked, although after I mentioned to the hotel staff they had it fixed that day, this kind of situation should not happen in a five star hotel. There was a bath next to the shower, but there was no bath salt. Another thing about the hotel is, the hotel pool policy required people to wear a swimming cap in order to enter the pool to have a swim. I witnessed a few hotel guests spending hundreds of RMB just paying for swimming caps and trunks in order to have a quick swim. We also tried the hotel seafood buffet, 238 RMB per person for hotel guests with service fee included. I think the food was good quality and wasn't bad to spend that money to have a meal there. Breakfast was just so so: pastries were not great and limited, coffee was filter coffee which wasn't even hot. I would say it was not up to a five star hotel standard breakfast.”

“i visit guangzhou almost once a month, and i always stay in this hotel. this is my 2nd review. location the location is not at the center of guangzhou (like tianhe, etc), and is in the haizhu district. but i still love the location since it is surrounded by lots of restaurants and shopping places, and is not in a touristy area. mcdonalds and kfc are right beside the hotel. and there are several chinese restaurants worth a try. skip the breakfast buffet and have dimsum and tea at the chinese restaurant beside the hotel (near 7-11). another must-try is the chinese hot-pot restaurant near mcdonalds. you will need to wait for a table though if you want to eat at peak hours. with the newly constructed metro station right below the hotel, it is now very easy to go around guangzhou. i always take the metro from the airport to the hotel, even if my flight arrives at 10pm. way cheaper and faster than taking a taxi. the airport express bus (#3 if i'm not mistaken) also drops off / picks up passengers near the hotel. rooms the rooms here are hit-and-miss. if you get the newly renovated rooms, you are in luck because they are really nice. the interiors are modern and very clean. can be compared to other more expensive 4-star hotels in guangzhou. do not be tempted though with their cheapest rooms that go on sale at agoda. i got a room for 300-350rmb only, but they gave me their oldest room - dingy and musty - with very old furnishings. tiles are broken and dirty, clogged shower heads, moldy bathtubs, dirty ceilings, old toilet seats, you name it. i just took this in stride since i know i got the room at a promo rate. good thing i stayed only one night, and that it only happened to me once. but next time i will definitely get the upgraded room. value this hotel for me still ranks as one of the best value-for-money hotels in guangzhou. that single incident will not dissuade me from staying in this hotel again.”

“Wow, so first I'm a 50yo traveller who spends a lot of time in upmarket hotels. I'm not easily impressed, and prefer niche brands like Banyan Tree over the Hyatt/Hilton larger market brands. Add to that, my expectations of Guangzhou were a little trepidatious. So imagine our surprise when we found such a luxery hotel, with simply the best bed I have ever slept in, and the most diverse and extravagant breakfast I have seen anywhere incl Thailand holiday resorts (well done to F&B manager Adam). Seriously, DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! Concierge staff were definitely helpful (you need that in China!), and checkin/out was very efficient too. All round, 5/5 on every dimension.”

“Pros Friendly helpful staff. Reception staff spoke good English. Check-in and check out quick and easy. Room staff friendly. Room clean with plenty of hot water for shower/bath. Great location next to Guangzhou Railwaystation, restaurants, mall and large supermarket just across the road. Fantastic breakfast. Cons. Breakfast expensive rmb180 Room tariff nearly doubled during Canton Fair, standard room rmb1150 but only rmb580 a few months prior. May be standard practice for Guangzhou hotels but still kind of extortionate. No shower cubicle just bath/shower combo.”

“It is my fab hotel in Guangzhou I stay here every month as I am a frequent traveller to china Mai ly...aside from hk ;) I would say it's great cos I have great memories living in that location from the old times... It has a metro station so very convenient for travel anywhere within gz 15 minutes away from the railways station to dongguan, hongkong and foshan etc...can safely say there location makes them hotel that will never go out of style come what may...bang in the heart of Guangzhou it is a great one”

“Great location, spacious space, king-size beds, easy access to 7/11, Family mart, Starbucks, & many delicious restaurants, this is an apartment with the convenience of a 5-star hotel! Definitely, we will choose this place as our living quarters in our future teips to Guangzhou.”

“We checked in at 3 am on 13 January 2018 .. The reception was a young chap. He knew very little English but he tried his best to translate using the phone. The check in was fast and smooth. He even guided us to our room. Room number 3130. The room was perfect. We got a suite so there was a partition. The kitchen has a stove on it, if you dont bring you pots and pants, u can borrow it from the reception (for free). The hotel is connected below at basement of the hotel to the metro called ( GONGYUANXIAN) so from the airport, if u happens to take the taxi because the timing is too late for public transport, just tell the taxi driver to go to the that train station. the next morning we met the new reception guy called Circle and he actually help us all the way from the second day to the last day. He was a great help to us. Nomo appartment has the best reception service and also Circle did make our trip in Guangzhou a nice and memorable one.”

“i and my wife travel to guangzhou very often but this is our firsf time stayed in holiday inn shifu hotel. i have to say it is one of the best hotel in guangzhou. the rooms are clean and spacious, service is no. 1 and the most important of all is the great location. it is near to a shopping and dining district so you won't be bore at all. it is highly recommented if you are going to look for a hotel in guangzhou.”

“I like this hotel very much for its location, service and cleanliness. If you are coming from the airport best to take the taxi as it is in a small road and not so easy to find for first timers. However, it is just a few minutes walk from subway station Gangding. Just walk down the small road in front of the hotel, turn right when you see the blue signboard showing the way to the subway station, walk round the small mall and the entrance/exit A to the subway is right there in front. There are many malls for hps, pcs and electronics around that area, and many restaurants including KFC and McDonalds if you have to have them. The hotel is in an area away from main roads and traffic and crowds so it is a nice, peaceful and very safe area. The hotel's employees were generally courteous and helpful and the reception staff spoke decent English. I left a small tip (RMB10) for housekeeping daily, and was delighted to receive sweet thank you notes daily from the housekeeping staff. I was impressed that he/she wrote in both Mandarin and good English! Room was big, clean and on the 19th floor but there was only view of adjacent buildings. I got a nice king size bed with a firm mattress which is the kind that I like. The aircon is good but becomes louder when blasting cool air and then quieten down until the next blast. As my aircon unit at home is kinda like that I am used to such noise and therefore not the least bothered by it. Other that that the room is quiet and there is no audible noise from outside. The separate shower and toilet are clean and decent sized, and the room has everything else that I need. I think that this hotel is really value for money and I would recommend this hotel for location and comfort. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Guangzhou.”

“It is located outside of the city of Guangzhou, so it is a bit inconvenient to get around if you don't have a car. (The hotel might provide shuttle services but I am not 100% sure.) The Chateau Star River Hotel(I'm referring to the hotel, which is about 10 mins drive away from this apartment) does have very good "dim sum" on the first floor as well as SiChuan cuisine on it's 4th floor.”

“I was very sceptical about this hotel when I booked as I have stayed in many such hotels in china and was never satisfied BUT this hotel is very different. First , location was very good as it is link up with Liu hua wholesale and there is an underground food street and fashion wholesale underground as well , so you can get good food and good last minute shopping. Second, the hotel is clean and comfortable even the standard room. I can't believe this as the price was reasonable and the Guangzhou railway and metro line is very close. Third and the most important the staffs were polite and patience to understand your requirement. I would strongly praise the concierge for helping me and giving me recommendation on the places that I should go as well as the courier delivery that was sent to me. I will make this my permanent place to stay each time I go to Guangzhou for my business trip. Thank you so much all the staffs of Liu Hua hotel.”

“Stayed here for total 6 night ~ overall was very satisfied with the price i pay for . 1st 2 night we booked for budget boutique room which was very small , then when we return from hongkong , we booked for Deluxe room which just few dollar difference but alot bigger and comfort . The best of this hotel is they provide inroom Desktop PC , daily housekeeping to keep the room clean and fresh , in china hardly to get new clean room at this price, important is the toilet is clean too . more else is very convenience ,7-11 just few step away ,there is few shopping centre accross the road , MTR just 5-8minutes walk , many attraction is nearby the only downside is next to temple and theres a school behind this hotel .but not big deal and we leave our room early .”

“All the better Guangzhou hotels double their rates and more during the CantonFair. I have the advantage of being able to avoid those dates. The Leeden is a relatively new hotel in the newest (New Town) section of Gouangzhou. You can visit your rich friends at five star hotel in a short for a third of what they are paying. And you get four stars, plus a full sized indoor pool, workout facilities, a good buffet breakfast, and unusual in China, fast elevator service.”

“This accommodation is in a very convenient location. The metro station is just underneath the building, very easy and cheap to travel around Guangzhou, including to the railway stations. It is also within walking distance of many attractions and shopping streets including the popular Beijing Road. The staff are friendly and helpful. ”

“My trip was Jakarta-Guangzhou-Hongkong-Guangzhou-Jakarta.. After i entered hongkong and want to go back to Guangzhou with high-speed train. The immigration staff said that my China Visa has been used, i am shocked. I couldnt return. i must apply China Visa in Hongkong. All my IDs, credit cards, and belongings in Guangzhou! And i dont have much money. Only HK300. The day after, I called TIMMY HOTEL and asking for their help to packing all my belongings inside my room and check-out as well. And they did very excellent !!! My friend came to pick-up and deliver all my belongings from TIMMY hotel guangzhou to hongkong. Thank you so much for your help (TIMMY’s hotel staff and management) For tidying and packing all my belongings from my room, and prepare it to deliver to Hongkong without any loss. This is the best service i’ve ever had while in travel. THANK YOU ! And now, I know that HONGKONG still not part of CHINA, eventhough China claimed it.”

“I've already spent some time at Royal Tulip and I can consider it one of the best hotel in Guangzhou regarding the quality/price ratio. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet is generous and the facilities like the spa, swimming pool and fitness room are appreciated. The staff at the lobby is kind and helpful. I must admit that during my last visit I had a bad service from the laundry because I asked a pair of my trousers to be cleaned but I got them back with the same dirty spots they had before. Anyway apart this, I consider my staying at Royal Tulip a good time.”

“cheap relatively near MRT - Tiyu Xilu station 10 minute walk to to the malls manager speaks English common bathroom a refrigerator is provided for everyone to use the main office is at the 21st floor, room H Agoda price is not so competitive compared to their regular room rates ”

“Stayed for almost 2 weeks. Staff appears friendly and on going cleaning by the cleaners. However I have to switch rooms 3 times because I could not understand why I get bitten when I wake up every morning - possible bed bugs? I would have gone to another hotel but schedule did not allow me. I eventually moved to another Hotel for my last few days in Guagzhou.”

“I like this hotel as it is not far away from old town center. Walking distance from Sha Yuan metro station where Rock Square (乐峰) shopping mall is, plenty amenities (cheap or good eating houses) are available around this hotel including 花城往事 food street. All the rooms are on level 2 so that there is no lift. You can expect standard supply in room as a 7 days chain hotel, no bottled water though. Considering the location, the price is really not expensive. As all budget hotel in China, understanding mandarin is essential for smooth check-in process.”

“i cant find the way to hostel”

“so i have arrived in guangzhou at midnight, take bus to tindahe district then take taxi to this apartment. absolutely no one can speak english. did not put in which floor the hostel was, it took around 30 minutes to find the hostel, though we were in the right building! and the security guard did not help much. when we came in, gosh! the room is very dirty, its like they not tidy up over one year!”

“good hotel, very far from airport and no taxi driver is ready to go this hotel. taxi not available every time.”

“Clean, good loaction. ”

“the hotel is walking distance to the xi men kou station and 16 min walk to Beijing road if you want to do alot of clothes shopping. ample choices of restaurant around the hotel. To go site seeing like chan family academy is just 1 train stop away. however for those with sensitive noses, you may not like the chemical smell of the room once you check in, after a day or two, the smell would subside. also, the drainage system of the bathroom is not the best as it always get 'flooded' after shower, but if you are not sharing bathroom with a roommate then that wont be a major issue. overall, I would stay in this hotel again if I visit guangzhou in future.”

“If you are looking for a clean bed and basic facilities, this more than meets the requirement for a night halt. The room was large and clean, and bed was very comfortable, the Bathroom was clean (so were the towels) and the Hot Water in bathroom, Kettle TV (nearly all Chinese channels, except one or two rare ones in English), AC etc. worked well. No complaints there. The Hotel does not offer breakfast (though on Agoda it is listed with breakfast), but there are at least 4-6 restaurants (nearly all local Chinese restaurant) all around this hotel, including some right next doors, so the hotel need not offer breakfast / food. You can just step out and have it. There are also plenty of general stores / shops around to buy anything you need. The staff spoke sufficient English to manage things, and were generally very helpful.”

“I always stay in this hotel everytime I come to Guangzhou . The location is so great near the place of all beauty product and salon supply. Near to all public at private transport. The staff are all nice, helpful and very accomodating. love this.....”

“Must maybe be more specific online eith the location of hotels. In general the hotel is in a good area. Just in this area seems people never saw black people.”

“Staffs are friendly and very helpful and they have a driver that can drive you to chimelong park or other places. Better price than taxis ”

“Located in a strategic location. Easy access to all public transportation. Many guests smoke at the corridor and lift, no control from the management staff.”

“Please is good the hotel staff are all nice. Big room and near to public transport. Just 5minutes going to salon supply which I always buy my goods. 👍”

“after booking/paying through internet, we ended up in a small window less room , my chinese girlfriend went down & placed a complaint. After paying additional - she came back with a new room card, the new room was more likely what we payed for but still having to pay up.....why?, the aircon in room did not work to well....... ”

“not too far away from underground station and can travel to other areas of guangzhou easily. room is clean and spacious and bed is comfortable. service is good as check-in time does not take too lomg and the receptionist is kind and helpful. you can shop in the neighbourhood as there are two malls within 5-8 minutes walking.”

“This Apartment Hotel will be my first choice in Guangzhou. Hotel is little far from Dashi Metro Station. ”

“This hotel is absolutely worth the every dollar we spent. The location is close to the metro station & it is easy to find food at reasonable prices. The size of the room & restroom is acceptable. the staffs are very friendly & they gave many helpful information about GuangZhou. We will return to this hotel again for our next visit.”

“A convenient stay for 145 yuan... just a 2 minute walk to the metro station... you can reach the airport in just 40 minutes from This hotel via metro.. ”

“Good location: just located besides the Chimlong Station. Restaurants are everywhere nearby. The room was large and clean with 5 stars decoration. Staffs were very helpful and nice. should improve: The corridors of the building were still in making. A little bit danger. The Chinese and English addresses were different. Breakfast was lack of choice.”

“The maps shows the hotel is located opposite of the river but that isnt true”

“it was great stay the staff were very helpful will go out of their way to help you. They do not speak English but will call their manager if she is not around to help you as she speaks English There are many eateries just around the hotel and in the evening many small BBQ joint are set up. Great food The only issue is the hotel is very far from the nearest metro station Renhu. The taxi right will cost you around RMB60/- and the motorbike will coat you RMB30. There is Bus no 1 from near the hotel to Renhu metro station but to get to the bus station it will cost you RMB10/-. The bus ride cost you RMB3/- but the taxi to the bus station will cost you around RMB10/-. Overall a great hotel with huge clean rooms”

“Worst staff ever exist in my hotel or customer history. Rude, aggressive, smoking all over the hotel. If you have a choice, stay away from it. ”

“Hotel is not clean at all, stuff is completely unfriendly. I would not recommend this place unless this is the last hostel in this city. They kept me waiting in front the desk for almost 2 hours!!! Even I have had a reservation. Never again. Note for management - please check who was working at the front desk when I arrived...”

“Pros - Location. Right next to 7/11 and several pretty good Dim Sum restaurants. Walkable to Guangzhou North train station. - Price. The price was unbeatable if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Don't stay in the normal rooms. Have to stay in the deluxe rooms. Deluxe rooms were recently renovated and a lot better. Cons - Non Deluxe rooms - Peeling wallpapers. Water spots on bathroom floor. Mold along the bathtub. Cleanliness is a problem in the standard rooms. - Staff - Restaurant staff is rude and disrespectful. Front desk is a mess - lost my reservation and don't usually get Agoda bookings. - Food. You take elevator to 12th floor and walk up to the 13th floor where they feature a "Japanese" restaurant. Only Japanese is instant ramen and miso soup. Barely anything to eat. Better to just eat outside.”

“of course it is not a westin or ritz, but definetely one of the best hotels in guangzhou. i have been there during the canton fair and it was a very comfortable stay. for chinese conditions the staff speaks english very well, even the "door-man". i have booked the deluxe superior room and it was quiet big. the shuttle bus to the fair had excellent departure times (from 8 to 10 am). the location of the hotel is in tianhe district and there are many restaurants and shopping malls around. i surely recommend this hotel and will book again for next year!”

“I have stay few other hotel in Guangzhou with 4 star standard and price is pretty close. I must share that this hotel Asia Int'l is one beautiful hotel and the rooms are big. The setting of the furniture, TV, Lighting, keyless entry, bed and also the toilet has it's class. The minute I step into the hotel lobby, the front desk staffs greet with a big smile. When i reach my room, the key to the door has a class with good sensor and produce a nice music. when I enter the room i was in complete shock to find that the room is so well furnish and everything look so new and nice. I love the bed as they are soft and the way the set up inside the room is so pleasant that you just refuse to get out of your room. Most importantly that I enjoy my stay in this hotel. I must say that you stay there and you will know what i mean. I will go back to this hotel again for all my business trip and if my staff visit Guangzhou of Business trip I will put them in this hotel too.”

“We arrived at the Royak Marina Plaza by Metro and it was a short walk across Panyu Square to the hotel. The reception staff immediately booked us in and we were allocated a room that met our requirements. After dropping our bags we retired to the buffet area where we enjoyed an extended evening meal and drinks on the patio overlooking Panyu Square. In the morning breakfast was also taken on the patio before engaging in the day's activities. The room, service and food met my expectations and the family enjoyed our weekend in Guangzhou.”

“I booked my hotel 2 hours before I check in during public holiday, hotel didn't receive my booking when I check in. But amazingly front desk still offer me alternatives without panic or rejection which is often in china, it was so impressive! Besides I asked for DVD player which says always available in agoda's description, although it wasnt ready when I check in, but hotel immediately ask technician to setup for me in 10 mins! I really appreciate the service although I just stayed one night only! Definitely recommended hotel in Guangzhou!”

“We stayed in total 2 nights in the Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel in the Club Floor area and enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel is very modern, clean, nicely designed, the rooms are very large and well equipped with everything you need. The staff is very friendly with good English and really takes care of the guests and the environment. As we were in the Club Floor, we had complimentary drinks and snacks of very high quality and also free wifi in the rooms. The location of the hotel is very convenient but it was kind of a problem to get a taxi during heavy rain but that's quite normal for China. In total we enjoyed staying at this hotel and can fully recommend it to everyone!!”

“As I stated above, this is one of the best hotels in Guangzhou, especially if considering the price. Just one point, you should take a taxi to access to the hotel from the station. The way is pretty complicated, and what you see around the way is not pleasant. Catching a taxi sometimes takes much longer as not so many taxies run on the road in flont of the hotel. If you get this point, this hotel is very comfortable.”

“i have stayedbat many guangzhou hotels in this price class, but very few can offer all the amenities and proximity to canton fairgrounds. definitely return there again next time. tip. you can walk to night street market down the road left under the bridge. lots of bargains to be found. no need to travel 40 minutes to beijing road, unless you need watches, all else is available in this street.”

“The room is huge and very well equipped. A suite in all senses. I could not believe the price. In short - go there I only stayed one night as a stopover. About 30-40 minutes to the airport (which by Guangzhou standards is not bad at all. Can't really comment on the area but seemed quiet enough and a good mix of modern (new shopping mall), traditional and local.”

“Right smack drab in the middle of the city. This hotel has a direct access to the IGC mall which is very convenient for anyone staying in this hotel. whether you want to buy snacks or need to have a hot meal at the food court or grab some coffee at a nearby Starbucks, everything is within reach. Flower Square is a short walk from the hotel with nice views along the road. The hotel has everything in it specially the rooms with all the amenities. Free bottled water is delivered almost on an infinite basis. Wifi is strong and fast. Bed is very comfortable worthy of a Five Star hotel. Everything is working fine and within your control including the aircon. The staff, I mean all of them, are way beyond kind. They help us with everything including getting taxis and making sure they use the meter so as we wouldn't be ripped off. 90% of the staff speaks good english. They even provide Bus Shuttles for those going to the Canton Fair complete with snacks, drinks, and towels.”

“W Guangzhou is super well located as it's within the CBD and close to shops and restaurants. However, from a stay to another the quality of services is declining. Ordering a drink at the bar can be complicated as only a few staff speaks English beyond "hello" and order for more than 1 person come separately as if each person ordered on their side.”

“Very newly, clean, modern with style hotel in China. I've been to Guangzhou for more than 20 times in my life and this hotel is the best hotel I've ever stayed in Guangzhou. Their restaurant very outstanding for both taste and design. I have an very important meeting with my client there, and this hotel can represent my company good image. Will definitely stay there again next time. Welcome to Guangzhou my friends.”

“the rooms were ok, and i think a 4 star hotel can match up to the standard, but for the price, quite worth it. location was not convenient, it is about 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, so be prepared to take a cab from the nearest metro station or vice versa - but the cab ride is not expensive staff were overall ok, but the housekeeping service needs to be improved, because every single day they will miss something out and not provide.”

“- Comfortable and spacious - We stayed in Executive room with nice view - There is a 7-eleven next to the hotel - Walk to MTR Station (漢溪站) around 10-15mins ”

“GENERALLY, WE HAD A PLEASANT STAY AT HONDER INTERNATIONAL HOTEL. IT IS 5-STAR WITHIN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD. THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY, AND CAN CONVERSE WELL IN ENGLISH. BREAKFAST IS SUMPTUOUS, WITH WIDE SELECTIONS. CLEANLINESS AND ORDERLINESS ARE NOTE WORTHY. I WOULD CONSIDER RETURNING TO THIS HOTEL ON OUR NEXT TRIP TO GUANGZHOU. ”

“I really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaze Guangzhou City Centre Hotel. It is a great hotel - the lobby is beautiful and smells great. I got into Guangzhou Int'l Airport past 12 midnight and had no problem getting a taxi to the hotel, which is in downtown next to the famous Guangzhou International Building. I loved my room - it was huge - and I got a free upgrade because my original room was booked. My bed was so comfortable - great for someone with jetlag. The service was excellent at the hotel, and they gave me two complimentary 100 Yuan discount tickets to the foot massage place (independently owned) on the 5th floor. The hotel is very convenient - there's a McDonald's, a family mart, restaurants, etc. nearby. My closet was huge, my view was very good, and everyone was so nice. All of the employees speak English perfectly. Check in and check-out are very easy. The room amenities are high quality, including lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush kit, comb, shaving kit, natural soaps, bath salts, blowdryer, ironing board and iron with steam, etc. Loved it.”

“Considering that most hotel rooms in nearby Hong Kong are high-cost tiny cubicles, the prices at Yingbin are stunningly low. It's a 5-star hotel in elegant facilities and accoutrements. Our room was huge -- about 325 sq ft. All the finishings were in marble, with updated bathrooms. Very comfortable and huge bed. Excellent location -- we were able to walk easily to Beijing Road, and the historical areas of Liwan -- not to mention falling out of the hotel into shoping, shopping, shopping and eating, eating, eating: both the specialities of Guangzhou. It also has the tremendous convenience in its compound (lovely, by the way) of an bus service hourly to Hong Kong-Kowloon and Hong Kong airport (saving the traveler the schlepp back to the train station and then further transport to HK airport). Compare the price of this formerly government hotel for high-level guests to international chains -- it's less than a quarter of their prices! For us, the place was excellent.”

“Very nice hotel in Guangzhou, new and staff are nice. Breakfast is acceptable. ”

“The room is spacious and clean, the staff is friendly, the food at the Woods is pretty good, the free bus to the fair is great, they also have a free bus to several point of interest in town. The only downside is the wifi is not really working. The train station is a bit walk.. perhaps 15-20 mins. Depends on how fast you walk, however in Guangzhou the train station is quite far from one place to another. But if you go by taxi is all fine since their location is pretty central to the cbd area.”

“My family always choose this hotel because it is across the street from my relative's house in Guangzhou. It is also convenient because there are lots of restaurants and eateries, bakeries, clothe shops, and a short walk to the closest subway in Sha Yuan.”

“I had stay and visit to the Osotto at Guangzhou town last year, which was excellent for both hotel room and the spa experience. Infact this baiyun Osotto customer service was below standard. The midnight front desk manager name ms keh was very rude and provide no solution while we finish our spa at 4am and request us to went up to our room to get our credit card to settle the spa bill. First of all, the same scenerio happen in haizho Osotto and we allow to transfer bill to room and settle together while check out. Instead this time, we need to went up and went down again to reception middle of the night and the Mgr was rude and bad customer service. If Osotto do not carry themselves as the best spa in Guangzhou, such standard can be maintain.”

“I love the location as it is 500 metres away from the train station. This is an area where expats and the rich live, the neighbourhood is very calm and peaceful unlike other parts of Guangzhou which is usually a little more chaotic. The street below is full of restaurants and bar but the price is on the high side. I will stay here again because of the peace and security of the place and the value for money”

“Early check-in (at 7am) is possible. Check-out is at 2pm. Staff are well-trained; very polite, accommodating and helpful. Had the best stay here in Yuwa Hotel in Guangzhou.”

“Great location surrounded by malls, next to the main road and mrt station. Excellent staff, very fluent in English and very helpful. To name a few, Manager Allen, receptionist Ella, bell boy Jacky and the rest of the staff are very professional & efficient. helping to write down my destination in mandarin was awesome, most taxi drivers do not know English. Traveling to all parts of china, I find that Guangzhou citizens are the friendliest. Great job!”

“I've been in 9 different countries and I really satisfied with this hotel in Guangzhou, China. 1. All the staffs i met (Receptionist, Hotel translator, Guard) are very friendly, polite and nice. The Hotel Translator is Ms. Becky, a very nice girl. I hope you can see this review Becky. 2. The location is 1 km far from nearest subway/metro station, 6 km far from canton tower, 18km from Baima market, 40km far from airport. So i had to spend a lot for taxi, but anyway Guangzhou is very big so it is ok for me. They are many small restaurants, groceries store nearby. Especially i met a man from France, we can share a taxi from Hotel to Guangzhou South Railway station (on the way to Shenzhen) 3. I paid about 195 usd for 1 room, 3 nights, with breakfasts and i think that price is ok to compare with quality Next time, when i go Guangzhou, I think I will continue to book this hotel. Thank you.”

“always stay at this hotel in guangzhou. well located within easy reach of business centre, markets, food outlets etc. there is a convenience store and bank just outside the hotel. taxis are readily available. staff speak a very good share of english. rooms are nice and clean and very affordable. there is a secure safety deposit box room next to reception for all your valuables.”

“Living in China and visit guangzhou for at least a week every month. This location is perfect especially for a foriegn who cannot speak chinese well. I know i wont have to worry about food or shopping since many restaurants and shops have become accustomed to the many foriegners who visit this area. I often don't arrive back at my hotel until late and it's good to know i wont have to worry about finding late night food. The staff is very accomdating as well. Multiple instances they went above and beyond. Staying for weeks on end its a must to have a washing machine so this location really perfect for me. Its tough to find great customer service, but its something you will find here.”

“hotel room is good, nice place to stay.. just few minute to railway station.. easy access to few places.. make sure to print or screenshot the chinese language, it is because most of them dont understand english language.. they always google translate even to talk to u.. wifi is limited as china government block few apps, eg. whatsapp, instagram, facebook (not because of wifi signal weak).. but wechat ok, yahoo or other website.. preferable to use your own simcard / internet to access for whatsapp, instagram or facebook.. overall is ok, nice place.. im lovin it..canton city..”
