This april is still a little cold in Hannover. I went there to attend the Hannover Messe. Hannover is a expo city so compared with other big cities like Berlin, Munich etc.
it is not so fantastic for travelling and shopping. But people there are very friendly. to sum up, nice stay in Hannover. the public transportation is very convenient.
Hannover is one of my best place visited during my 10 days trip in Germany BUT do not , I repeat , do not check into Inter City Hotel Hannover .
I had a very bad experince even though I have booked with a reliable agoda.com .
I was very impressed with the transport links. if you do go use the train as the station is in the airport and a ticket to the city centre is 3.
30 euros single. as you would expect no delays it was on time. I noticed a sing offering a bus into the city for 39. euros the choice is yours. The city is pretty awesome the old buildings are very ornate and scattered here and there but the old area of the city is really worth a visit. there are lots of places to eat and prices were comparable to the uk not to dear.It has a very nice atmosphere. The shops do not open on sunday just places to eat. I would go to hannover again nice city.
Recognising that it was cold, damp and at one point snowing, Hanover seemed to have little to offer the tourist traveller .
. I may be being unfair but I didn't readily come across any attractions of any sort that would interest me. Maybe sunshine was needed!
