Very boring at night time after dinner cause we plan to see "Tiger Show" due to some reason, cannot manage to see.
Just drink beer at hotel lobby.
I like hatyai almost 1 year i will plan go with frend ,the people are frendly massage is good and the food is was very nice.
Enjoyed my routine in Hat Yai, get up early enough to beat the heat, breakfast, few meetings for work, then great walking through all the markets.
Good for a short trip for northern state of Malaysia. But this is not recommended for long holiday period as crowd people and long queue as custom.
Good place to shop for leather & other imitation goods. Need to have good bargaining skills to ensure a good buy
Hatyai is a booming city with tourism as its main business. Shopping and dining is always satisfying and prices are very reasonable.
If it is your first visit to Hatyai, you must visit nearby seaside town of Songkla. Also, do not forget to have a session of Thai ancient massage for relaxation.
Every thing is perfect, for dining and shopping is a most attraction, most hotel is nearby for shopping and restaurant easy to excess.
is good to travel back again to this city.
Basically a district full of wholesale store/stall & LOTS of cheap n unique food. Not suitable for those who like to shop branded item, since its more toward imitate item.
But u'll enjoy all the cheap unique n halal food there, as well as number of place for sightseeing
A beautiful place for "reasonable priced" shopping. Very good food, especially if you like savoury tasting food.
Things are getting to be more expensive here than in Malaysia. ;-) Finding PARKING is a nightmare in Hat Yai, try not to go during Public Holidays.
value for money on hotels and shopping especially... very easy to get around anywhere as well... stay in lee garden and you are close to everything.
A short getaway destination for Malaysian and Singaporean tourists. I come here for good massage and shopping for Thai goods.

Not much development. Almost the same over the years but a good place to find massage/relaxation and food.
mostly is market, like morning market and night market. there are few night market surrounding, and quiet a lots of street stall to look see look see.
and there are a lots of foot massage shop around that area. its cheap and worth to try. one things is hat yai is not suitable for baby or young children. there are totally not pram friendly at all.
Is it a place for you to shop, but most of the product was import from China, so be aware of counterfeit and MGO food.
Normally living in BKK and Samui, Hatyai is different because of vicinity of Malaysia.I like the"other"scene.
FOOD AND CULTURE DIFFERENT FROM OUR COUNTRY, BUT NOW HADYAI FOOD AND SHOPPING ISN'T AS CHEAP AS THOSE DAYS.
. NOW EVERTHING IN HADYAI IS QUIET EXPENSIVE COMPARE TO MALAYSIA.
The new Central Festival mall, is a good visit to see how Hatyai has progressed in terms of premium shopping and offers free car parking as of now, There are several Thai temples to visit with differing architecture to offer different feels.
The main parks have attractions that cater to everyone and nearby Songkhla has a long beach front for a relaxing and scenic holiday.
Actually i am Local here, Hatyai but now i didnt stay there. The best thing there is eating. There are many restaurant for you to eat.

Nice place to visit. Markets to shop where you can get cheap stuff like nuts, dried food Nd even bird nest drinks.
I like to go to central festival shopping centre as its a nice big shopping centre and has a Cineplex as well.
So much to eat in hat yai. Try the famous beef noodle soup near Lee gardens. Pork knuckle at payang restaurant, and the chilli ham at 7 eleven.
It's a great place for a short holiday. The food is great and the people are so friendly. This city has so much to offer.
From beautiful temples to parks to beaches and super yummy pork knuckle.
