"The hotel itself is super. Room was large, almost double the size of anything we have stayed in in japan The breakfast was included and it had many options. I gave food a 4 only because as a westerner who is a healthy vegetarian a Japanese breakfast is not always great but there was the usual toast, rice, miso soup, salads, eggs, meat of sorts, yogurt and cereal. Wifi worked perfect. Clean as a whistle as well and even though we asked them not to clean our room when we arrived there were packages with new towels and all that stuff outside our door. I actually booked this hotel thinking it was in Hiroshima but the fact that it was not worked out just fine. The hotel is right outside higashi-hiroahima train station which is a 10 min train ride from Hiroshima. We had a Japan Rail pass so it cost us nothing to travel back and forth. The station Is literally a 30 second walk across the street from the hotel which made it feel as though we were on a subway line. The hotel will give you a time table of the trips between Hiroshima and higashi-Hiroshima. The last train is around 11 ish so if you like to party and stay out late this option won't work for you as you will have no way back till early in the morning. It's quiet and your right near the mountany backdrop that you see from the train. Well worth it and I would totally recommend this option!!! "

"5-stars on the location (right next to a convenience store and few min walk to the JR train station), the cleanliness (entire hotel was clean), staff (very friendly and helpful), and breakfast (larger variety than I expected). I had read from other reviews that the wifi was a little slow but I had no problems. The bed was VERY comfortable with a great view. I actually have problems getting a room in this hotel because they always seem to be booked - for good reason too. I would stay again if they had availability."

"We visited Hiroshima during Sakura season and were lucky to find rooms at this Toyoko Inn which is a short walk from a train station. This is our first time to stay at a toyoko inn and were surprised that the rooms are bigger than the usual Japan inn standards. Our booking did not show that breakfast is included but upon check-in, we learned that breakfast is included. A simple fare of onigiri, cabbage salad, bread, sausages, eggs & soup is offered buffet style every morning. Being at a shinkansen station, it was easy for us to haul our luggage as we transferred cities. The downside, we had to catch the 9:30PM shinkansen from Hiroshima to Higashi Hiroshima every night that we go out. we can't stay out too late. We also had to check the schedules online every now and then so we won't have to wait long at the station to catch trains. Check-out time is at 10AM but the concierge gladly kept our luggages for us while we visited Onomichi before we go to osaka. "

"It is marginally more expensive ($10-20/night) that other business hotels but business hotels are already cheap. Friendly staff, wide selection of breakfast foods/drinks, and good amenities. I don't know how new the hotel is but it seemed very new, was very clean/quiet, and close to several restaurants."

"As everyone mentioned, the room is quite large compare to most of the hotel rooms in Japan, and the service is really good. We didn't get the chance to try with hot spring but it's good that they offer this service for people who would travel next day. The location of the hotel is tricky: if you plan to come from Hiroshima at night by bus like what we did, it's a fairly tough - the bus is not so frequent, the bus stop is on the off-side of a highway with NO LIGHT. We had to use our phone to light up the way and it was all ascent, very touch for traveler with a large luggage. However, it is so close to the airport, and the hotel offers shared taxi in the morning, the price is pretty affordable as well. So if you are taking a early flight like I did, I still strongly this hotel - Hiroshima Airport is quite far from the city, and it would take ~1 hour to get there. From this hotel, it only took me less than 10 minute to get there, and I didn't have to get up too early."
