Safari trips are the big attraction in Hluhluwe. A sunset and sunrise safari are recommended to ensure most game has been spotted.
Not much else to do. Town has mostly informal traders with little choice of restaurants. Thus guests rely on the hotel for dinner and this aspect needs improvement. Hotels should focus on providing SA traditional meals such as stew, samp & beans and pap, wors and gravy. Otherwise the hotel is well located for safari drives.
I would strongly recommend to stay at the Protea hotel in hluhluwe, they are absolutely great and you feel so much at home, just pack some mosquito spray in when you travel in the game reserve as there is a few mosquitoes there.
If you love out door and safari Hluhluwe is the place to be. Hluhluwe is an agricultural village producing pineapples and pawpaws.
If you are tired of city life and you need time to relax then Hluhluwe is fot you.
