I hesitated at first to book this hotel due to the numbers of negative feedback's here. Well, I am so glad I booked this hotel!!! I flew from Singapore to Honolulu and reached the hotel exhausted. I'm surprised on how ground staffs treated their visitors so warmly. Peeps are so generous and very friendly. That immediately made me fall in love with the place & of course the people. They even gave me 4 voucher for Mai Tai's (while waiting for my room)! Woohoo! Got into the room and I had amazing beach view from the balcony! And best part was the infinity pool! GOSH! Couldn't ask for more! Thank you all and I'll definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! Will be back soon!

Great location on the east side of Waikiki which was much quieter and close to Diamond Head. Lots of eateries in the area and easy access to the beach. We had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and could see the sunrise every morning. Pool is slightly small but not many people use it, and choose to lounge around the pool area. Was a great space and the hotel hosted some cool events during our time here. The hotel was newly renovated so was clean. Shower pressure was good but often the water temperature kept changing from hot to cold. Rooms were comfortable, especially the fluffy bed and pillows were a dream. We came here on our baby moon and I had no trouble sleeping pregnant. Though, I could often hear people walking down the hallway and their hotel doors slamming shut. Internet was fast but often dropped out in the night. There was one night that the whole hotel lost power for 2 hours (they said the whole area) but they quickly worked to get power back into the building.

This hotel is good value for money. It's nothing fancy but that's all we need. The bed was Nice and comfy. It's half way between all the shops in waikiki and Honolulu (1-2km walk in each direction). There's a bus stop right outside the hotel going both ways which we caught into Honolulu many times. The pool is nice (4-5 ft deep). Staff were nice. Aircon old and noisy but the streets are noisy pretty much all night round anyway so not to bother :)

My flight to Honolulu was 6 hours late departing Phoenix. Before I took off I called my Oahu family and said i would not get in before 1 AM and was going to Maui in the morning to visit more family so don't pick me up . Called the hotel directly after reserving on line and explained that I reserved for the night of the 6th but would check in on the 7th in the early AM. They got it and took care to leave instructions for the front desk staff. Many years ago I arrived at 6 AM and a fancy Honolulu hotel - they said - you did not show up so we charged your credit card and you cannot check in now. I asked what time check out was and I had two hours. I told them I was going to go up and take a shower - they were not amused but eventually let me in. The Airport Hotel staff was so much more accommodating. Location was perfect. I called and the shuttle bus picked me up about 10 minutes later at my baggage carousel doorway.. Small room bur just what I needed - a bed to sleep in - now.

I made a reservation for Cityview, but I was assigned a room next to the elevator. He was kind to a request to move the room because he was sensitive. The hotel is old, but the room is good, and the location is the best in Waikiki. However, with the modernization work now, elevator use and noise can be uncomfortable. But I was most satisfied with the Hyatt on this trip.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights for the annual Honolulu Marathon event in early December because it’s closer to the start point. Highly recommend the Japanese sushi restaurant in the first floor of Prince Waikiki Hotel. We have dined there twice during our 4 nights stay. The overall service provided by the hotel was superb! Very close to Ala Moana Shopping Center. The hotel was recently renovated so it felt very new and pleasant to have such a large space of room in Waikiki Area! Good value!

Although we got off on a rough start due to some facility issues the staff was prompt in alleviating the situation. Jody, the manager, was very understanding, sooo nice and friendly and my daughter and I became somewhat friends. I usually stay at the Wyndham (and I did for part of my stay) but budget was tight and needed to stay at a pocket friendly hotel. There was a parade that literally started at the corner of the Hotel so we had a great spot! Although this Hotel is not right on the beach, it is walking distance to everything and bus stops right by the Hotel, plus if you rent a car there is easy freeway access and Valet parking for a daily fee of $25. A couple of things I didn't like (but most Hotels in Honolulu charge it) there was an "amenities" fee of around $100 and a breakfast fee of $20 for guests (they only included one free breakfast). I didn't use their amenities, except for the beach towels and the pool was under renovation. They did credit back due to the issues I had.

We were a family of 7 so we used 2 suites on the 20th floor, 4 in one & 3 in the other. These suites were great value, 2 bedrooms in each & a fully furnished kitchen in one of them. This made it very easy to feed 3 teenage kids. Beautiful vues of the beach from both units & plenty of entertainment units, TVs etc. Services were great & lots of restaurants in the hotel & very close by. The hotel is across the road from the beach, but about a kilometre from the main area of Waikiki, but the walk is worth while with shops & food outlets all the way. I recommend the hotel, it's not as expensive as most of the well known ones & great value for money. The service by all is very good.

Loved our stay here! You must stay in the Ali'i Tower. Exclusive amenities, and personal check in/out counter, pool, gym and spa, with prime location on beach front real estate - ocean views. The staff were fantastic! Julie Smith at the information centre was not only helpful and curious, she was sweet and very funny. Great insiders tips and started my morning off with a laugh! The resort can get busy during peak times, but expected at such a large resort property. Nothing too overbearing. Short walk down the beach to the main shopping and eating district of Honolulu. Location is not an issue. Would stay here again!

It's the first hotel on Waikiki Beach. Very classic in colonial style comparing to other 4-star hotels. The service was great and they have a very high safety protocols for their guests. The hotel is situated right on Waikiki so you can enjoy the beach whenever you want. From the hotel, you can walk to many surrounding shopping malls and restaurants. Highly recommend for honeymoon.

I had booked in advance back in the end of March. Due to my flight last minute changes (not on my part.Thank you United for the headache) my family and I arrived a day late. I made sure to call ahead to notify the hotel that we would be coming late. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the lady's name whom I spoke to that day. But she assured me that our rooms will still be ready for us upon arrival but we would still have to pay for the first night since it was a last minute change. We agreed to it. Finally arrived to the resort only to find out our rooms were cancelled but the gentlemen and manager on duty at the time was very sympathetic and tried to fix the problem right away. They made us feel at ease after the huge ordeal we had to go through with United. They upgraded us to a better room and explained everything in detail because of their service I felt at ease and was more excited about being in Hawaii. The rooms were big and clean; love waking up seeing those beautiful misty mountain

We stayed at the Garden Inn on our forward journey to America as well as our return journey. We were very happy that we had booked this hotel again as we arrived at 6:30am and presented to the reception desk and to our great relief were given our room then and there! We had a huge travel day to arrive in Honolulu and were very tired so couldnt be happier to go straight to our room and to be given a balcony room as requested. Love the location, is very handy to everything in Waikiki. Will definetly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had anywhere in the world. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt excited to be there. The front desk staff was exceptional. They were chatty, involved in our stay, and polite and professional! They never hesitated to come out from behind the desk to help us- whether to show us the ice machine or help us to use the coffee machine. The room was very tidy and nicely furnished. Although on the small side, it was very comfortable and had a nice sized closet for suitcase storage and to hang our clothes. The hotel provides FREE washing as well. Free machines, free detergent, and free dryer sheets. I've never seen that before! The lobby is comfortable and has free coffee all day, which is a godsend for jet lag. The hotel is located just behind the Hyatt hotel, only 2 minutes from the beach. There are convenience stores, supermarkets, bars and restaurants all within 5-10 minute walk. And with the money we saved booking at the Stay, we didn't feel bad about having a few more expensive meals. This is one hotel that is doing everything right. I am a raving fan for life and I will recommend The Stay to everyone I know who goes to Honolulu from now on!

This was my second holiday in Waikiki. The first time I went with a friend and we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and had a wonderful experience, so decided to stay with the Hilton chain again but in a different location. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is in a perfect location, close to the beach and all the happenings of Waikiki, they have a great 24 hour restaurant and room service (although the prices are quite expensive). The pool and spa were lovely and the drinks at the pool bar weren’t too steep. They were able to accomodate my request for early check in and the room was immaculately cleaned every day. HOWEVER. I wasn’t aware the resort fee was an extra charge on top of the room rate when booking, so got stung with an extra $250 upon checkout. And two days in a row I left my spare change on the desk in my room and both times it was taken by the housekeeper who obviously mistook it for a tip. Apart from those little things though it was a very pleasant stay.

My husband and I were very pleased with our nine night stay and would definitely stay again in the future especially if we were able to secure a package deal. The Hotel is in a perfect location and central to everything we needed during our stay. The Bus stop was less than a block away which is a great and cheap service to get around and even the whole Island. It is only a short walk to the beach from the Hotel and fold up beach chairs and towels are available to take to the beach. The service and all the staff were most accommodating and friendly. Our room on the 10th floor was fairly quiet and it was nice to sit on our balcony at night and was the passing parade below. We really didn’t want to leave.

I loved my stay at Waikiki Beach Condominiums. I emailed before hand to let them know I was arriving at 8am and could they hold my bags as I knew check-in was in the afternoon. Straight away I got a lovely reply saying dont worry they would look after me. They then followed up with full instructions of where to park and how to check-in as this is an appartment building without reception desk. It went like clockwork on the day. We put our bags in our room, took our key and went exploring will the room was prepared. I was a short walk to the beach, through the international market place and past the main shops. Our balcony faced the canal and the breeze and view of the lights on the hills in the evening was gorgeous. I loved being able to cook a meal if I wanted and using the washer/dryer in my bathroom. Over all, its not 5 star but it is very comfortable, secure, well positioned and well appointed. Self check out at 6am was easy. Security was on site 24/7 to answer any questions. I would definately stay there again and will recommend it to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Imperial Hawaii Resort at Waikiki. From check-in to check-out, it was a good experience, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable (we booked a month and a half in advance on Agoda). The location is great - Lewers St is a nice and cool street! It's walking distance to Waikiki beach and to restaurants and bars, and we walked everywhere, except to the Ala Moana Center; for that we took the bus or taxi. Technically the Imperial Hawaii Resort at Waikiki is not a hotel (it is a timeshare), and it was explained to us at check-in time that there would not be chambermaid service, and that if we wanted fresh towels daily, we could exchange the used towels for fresh towels on the 3rd floor (housekeeping). Towels for use at the pool or beach were also provided. The room itself was big enough and comfortable, and it had a nice lanai, although there was no view (the only view was of buildings). The only thing that we weren't thrilled about was the size of the bathroom - it was a little tight in there - but again, it was clean enough and the bathtub had grab rails, which was good. So all in all, it was a very pleasant 4-night stay, and we'd have no qualms booking ourselves there on our next visit to Honolulu!

This hotel is in a perfect location - right down town Honolulu It is not bad in price but it is definitely an older hotel - evident in their rooms and in the building itself. For me: CONS: - I had requested a king bedroom and received a room with two double beds; - the light in the bathroom flashed on and off all night (yes I could have called down but I had a very early flight and could not stay up waiting for someone to come or for it to be fixed). - It smelled a bit musty - smelled like a very old hotel - The staff is the not the quality you may be used to or expect - questions were answered in an "unsure" manner. PROS: - great location - had a fridge, stove, pots/pan,dishes, toaster, coffee/maker, You are paying for the location - not the hotel itself.

I have read a lot of bad reviews for this place but at the end of the day, the hotel is affordable yet provides an amazing view of the ocean. We were on level 21 (just making it over the shorter buildings in front of the Tower). You really need to read the fine prints. There is a resort fee, you have to do the check in yourself where they will be sent instructions on the day of check-in via email and they will send forms to complete prior to arriving to the hotel. The place does need upgrading and a thorough clean but everything works and the beds are clean. We would definitely stay here again. The location is very close to Ala Moana centre and a bus is literally down the road. If you want luxury, restaurants, staff service and all that jazz then this place may not be for you. All the best. Although Maccas, ABC store and Red Lobster is very close. THANK YOU MARINA TOWER WAIKIKI.

we stayed at the outrigger reef for 2 days surrounding the 2010 honolulu marathon; i was running it and chose the location based on, among other things, the 25-minute walk to the start line. the location was wonderful: near the newly-developed portion of waikiki that includes lewers street, which puts it close to many excellent restaurants. the rooms were modern and very comfortable. the shore bird bar/restaurant had an excellent breakfast buffet and cheap, decent mai-tais. there were plenty of beach-related activities to do on the beach, most of which can be arranged through third-party vendors on the beach. i was a little disappointed that the outrigger reef didn't go the "extra mile" for the marathon runners staying there---and there were quite a number of them---by providing an opportunity (outside of starbucks, which came through by opening early) to grab a small bite to eat before the 5:00 am-start honolulu marathon. also, the band at the pool bar played until about 9:30 pm the night before the marathon: they could be clearly heard in the rooms near the pool.

I book this hotel very long time ago as there is promotion but i really don't know this is a good choice, there are many comment on the internet and what i worry is the bed bud, insert in the room........ when i arrive, the lobby is very nice, bright and clean, no problem of it, staff is nice. when i get into my room, i have a "WOW" feeling, never have that feeling. the room is big, nice, clean, tidy, no smell, no dust, have a balcony, of course no inserts...........oh god, this is super nice. the toilet is very clean just the shower is not function well......but no complaint of it............ the location is super good, so close to every where, to shopping, i really like and love to recommend it

The Pearl is a older hotel but her location is awesome. She is literally a half block from the International Market, and a block and a half from the beach. A block in the other direction is a food market. The staff were very helpful with planning excursions and local transport. As well, we can to Honolulu 5hrs later than planned ( flight delayed) and they made accommodations for our late check in.
