"Placed not too far (25 min drive) from Hilo airport and downtown, in pristine rain forest environ with a brook bubbling right next to the property. Wonderful, beautiful natural beauty. Lots of flora, fauna, and birds to watch. We stayed at the Rain Forest Cabin with private drive and locked gate. Kitchen facilities good for camping type, and quite complete. No need to eat out at all. Food expensive but KTA supermarket as daily sale that is reasonable. Definitely need rental car to do own touring on the Big Island rather than joining tours. Only negative is to make sure bring lots of anti-mosquito, anit-bug lotion."
