Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"Sofitel was carefully selected by me, a kind of perfectionist, for my first holiday in Hua Hin with my family (wife and young baby). I have no more words to praise its charming colonial architecture and lush gardens and would like to comment on location, beach, hotel and room facilities. Sofitel is right at the heart of Hua Hin downtown and it can be proved by the presence of McDonalds and Burger King (the only shop in Hua Hin, I think). Hua Hin Railway Station (a famous scene in Hua Hin) and Village Market (the biggest shopping mall) also is just around, as well as the great Mamma Mia Pizza restaurant. Hua Hin beach, the one just in front of Sofitel, is not a good place for swimming(lots of rocks) but it has widest beach ,whitest sand and best view comparing to Cha-Am and Khao Takiap. The sun chair of Sofitel is served not just on beach but inside hotel territory. Your privacy therefore can be protected with exact same sea view. There are three pools in Sofitel, one is particularly for adult (2.6 meters deep) and one is quite kid-friendly. My wife and my baby really like the bed (bedding) in room, Sofitel calls it “MyBed”. It is soft and cozy. The negative things to me are overpriced breakfast and hard/dated towels in bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. "

Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa

"If you would like to spend your vacation, I think Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa Hua Hin / Cha-am is a good choice to stay; reasonable price, location, service, facilities, swimming pool, ocean view room . . . I could be able to walk around the hotel area where surrounding with Local Shop - Local Restaurant, especially seafood restaurant. If I have a chance to visit Hua Hin / Cha-am once again, I think I will stay at Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa Hua Hin / Cha-am. Thank you . . . "

Putahracsa Hua Hin Resort
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"This is a late review, but I still remember every detail of my stay at Putahracsa. From the moment you step in the lobby the staff would welcome you with very friendly and genuine smiles. They are not shy to approach their customers to help out and definitely did their best at servicing their customers. Any requests you'd make they did their best to help out. The service was definitely a major factor for me enjoying my stay so much. Secondly, the hotel itself was very nice and relaxing. The environment was quiet and "private" with two beautiful pools. The rooms were comfortable and large. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the hotel was situated on two sides of the road. So to get to the second pool from my room I had to cross the street to the other side. This is only a minor problem tho as there was always a staff member near the street to help you cross the street. Other nice things about the hotel include the free DVD's they provide which is great for night time as Hua Hin is not a big party/nightlife kind of town. The hotel also has a tuk tuk which you can book to take you from the hotel to anywhere in Hua Hin. Although taxi's in Thailand aren't too expensive anyway, having this service saves you from the hassel of finding a taxi yourself. The hotel's location is also pretty good as it is within walking distance to the night market. (which I would deem as one of the major attractions in Hua Hin)"

Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"Our family have been to Hua Hin at least twice a year in the last decade. So we have a lot of experience for the difference hotel in Hua Hin. This is the first time we ever come to Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa. I have to say that this is exceed our expectation. The hotel is very new with a fantastic swimming pool. I haven't seen the swimming pool this size (and a lot of complex design) inside the hotel before. The room is quite spacious. The breakfast is full of variety of selection from everywhere. And above all, the service is really fantastic from the front desk, security guard (especially the one at the sea gate), and room service. So far, we haven't tried lunch and dinner there yet, but we will definitely be back there to test it for sure. "

Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin
Hua Hin City Center,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"We have stayed in some of the best hotels across the region and can vouch this will be ranked right among the top three. The Resort: very well layout. The resort is specious, the pool villa we were staying was very luxurious for kids it was the villa pool which was the highlight for me it was taking shower under the stars in the open shower area specially on a starry night it was worth all the money. This resort is right on the beach so jump out of the villa you are on the pool and jump out of the pool you are on the beach. The big (king size) swing by the beach was our favorite haunt specially during the sunrise and for star gazing by the night and to enjoy the cool breeze through out the day. The sky in Hua Hin are very clear so lay on the swing and enjoy the star gazing - wort all the money. Tip: if you cannot stay in the pool villa then you are better of staying somewhere else as its bit secluded at the back of the villa. Food: Limited to two restaurants and the beach bar all with limited menu but what is offered is wort trying everything as it was very good. The breakfast, the high tea are on the house and the place has two happy hours. Their are no eating places around the resort so the only way to eat out is at the night market. Location: Hua Hin is not a place you visit for sight seeing it is meant for relaxation so we were at the beach or in the villa all the time except for stepping out on two nights to visit the night market via hotel shuttle bug. The Night Market: not for shopping it is purely for food and sea food which is not only fresh but very reasonable not more then USD50 for four of us in the family eating to heart content.(if you take lobsters the that itself will cost you USD50 everything else is cheap). Final Call: if you want t just relax and do nothing then Hua Hin is the place and in Hua Hin Asara is highly recommended. One Final Tip: Hua Hin to BBK taxi will cost you 2000 THB which you can b"

Anantara Hua Hin Resort
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"I booked a flight to Thailand as a birthday present for myself. A Thai friend had a female friend that likes to travel, and I made arrangements with her to spend a week, most of which was in Hua Hin. My friend suggested three hotels in Hua Hin (smart on his part as I can not blame him if the hotel is not as good as I think it should be) and I selected the Anantara. I am very happy that I did. The staff greeting with moist towel fresheners and snakes was a perfect way to start the week. We had an ocean front room (#106) and the view and yet privacy was amazing. The room was nicely sized and the shower/tub perfect. Flower petals adorned the king sized bed with "Happy Birthday" and this was a great mood setting nice touch. I had not told them that this trip was a birthday present and I did not inquire who or what had informed them. We tried to eat in all of the restaurants. Two were our favorites. One was on the main level where the entertainment is featured and the other was the waterfront tables. We recommend the "Aussie Steak". It was tender and tasteful and just what I expect from a steak house back home in California, USA. There is not much to do in Hua Hin and our week long visit was a little long for us. But, for a spot to just relax, this is top notch. "

Avani+ Hua Hin Resort
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"The location of the hotel is a bit far from the downtown but they provide free shuttle service to downtown and cha am. It's convenient to explore Hua Hin and area around. Highly recommend the garden room which is just a step away from the pool. The staff at the front desk and concierge counter are attentive but the service at the restaurant is just so so. Although we are the only customer in that restaurant, the waitress are serving rush and collected our dish that we haven't finished yet. "

Dusit Thani Hua Hin Hotel
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"family vacation was our regular tradition during summer time. i chose dusit hua hin because i want to try different hotel after i had tried and got impressed with cape nidhra and intercontinental hua hin before. dusit was probably among the oldest hotel/resort in this area (other would be centara hua hin). hotel buildings were built in colonial style with thai style decoration. lobby was awesome, huge with nice interior. staffs were superb at their services. check-in/check-out was fast and flawless. front desk recognized my reserve promptly and direct me to the rooms. i could really not find any hotel in hua hin that can match dusit's service, even several other 5-stars hotels that i previously stayed. the breakfast here was perfect. so many varieties to choose and 'all' were delicious. i can say this hotel had the best breakfast in hua hin by far. few minus i can mention here, room decorations were quite old and dark. the amenities here could not match those of cape nidhra and intercontinental. tv was crt, not lcd/led and remote was difficult to use, sometimes did not respond at all. lighting switches were so complex and not centralized. i also think lighting was not adequate, esp at night. i don't like room to be too dark. however, if you consider services and food to be your priorities, those dusit provided trumped everything, ... hands down. Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas (SHA Certified)
Pranburi,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
" The one bedroom villa suite come with a bedroom and a living area separated by a short pathway. Both has a shower and toilet attached. There is a fridge in both room. The private pool is large enough to swim. The villa design and furnishing are from Six Sense period with some fine tuning from Sheraton. Overall still very acceptable. The villa are cleaned everyday. The house keeping staff did a very good job in maintaining the cleanliness. Hotel staff are helpful and will do their best to accommodate any request. They understand English well and there is no issue with communication. However, do bear in mind that this is Thailand and accent might be slightly different from native English speaker. This villa is located 25 mins drive from Hua Hin town, thus those without a vehicle will find it harder to travel to and from town. If I recall correctly, the hotel does provide a schedule shuttle to Hua Hin and Cha Am for a small fee. "

More about Hua Hin / Cha-am

Hua Hin is one of Thailand’s most sought-after vacation destinations. The opening of Hua Hin Airport gives travelers the option of flying in, although Hua Hin is only a three-hour drive from Bangkok.

The main beach area is Hua Hin Beach, which features high-rise hotels and trendy resorts with bungalows and chalets on either side. Life on this beach couldn't be more relaxing. A bus from the waterfront links to a mountaintop temple with commanding views of the resorts in Cha am and Hua Hin as well as the surrounding countryside.

Hua Hin is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and boasts first-rate restaurants and nightclubs. Tourists can follow lazy days on the beach with exciting nights on the dance floor.

As the resorts in Hua Hin continue to garner more international attention, savvy travelers have been moving on to quieter areas down the coast. Among these areas is the boutique resort district of Pranburi, a rising star among domestic tourists. For a complete escape from the city, travelers can head to Sam Roi Yot National Park, where the scenery shifts between tangled mangrove forests, gorgeous beaches, and dense forests.
