More about Hyderabad

Hyderabad is located in Southern India’s Telangana state, serving as the capital city and a major player in India’s Information Technology industry. The city is served by Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport, which is in an area featuring many hotels of different type and size.

Today, Hyderabad is home to a great deal of India’s high tech industry, as well as housing the offices of Microsoft and Google. However, the city has a lot of history that started long before information technology came to town, and the Old City is definitely a must-see for those visiting this city. It’s a good idea to venture into the Old City and explore some of the historical architecture of the ancient mosques, forts, and palaces. One way to experience some of this history and culture is to spend a few hours at the Salar Jung Museum, which exhibits art, jewelry, and other artifacts of Hyderabad’s illustrious past.

The Birla Mandir is a beautiful white marble temple located at the peak of a mountain. It’s a magnificent building that attracts a great deal of visitors every day, as well as serving as a place of worship for followers of the faith. The temple’s high location also offers incredible vantage points for panoramic views of the city below.
