More about Jeju Island

Jeju Island is a tropical island off the Korean peninsula with stunning volcanic landscapes and world renowned beaches. Affectionately nicknamed the Island of the Gods, Jeju is a haven for nature lovers. The island features waterfalls, a volcano, a crater lake, beaches, volcanic rock formations, and a dense evergreen forest.

At a height of 1950 meters, Hallasan Mountain is Jeju's highest peak, offering unbeatable views over the island along with five incredible hiking trails, as well as being the site of the Gwaneumsa Temple, one of the island's most visited places.

Jeju is a popular honeymoon destination because of the warm weather and beautiful beaches. Travelers staying at a hotel in Jeju city center are only a short drive from many public parks.

A unique attraction on the island is its vast network of lava tubes. Manjanggul is the only one open to the public, and it features the world's largest lava column.

Eco tours and diving expeditions are of course popular on Jeju, most of which depart from Jeju City. Hotels in Jeju City are not only convenient to most of the leisure pursuits on the island, they're close to Jeju International Airport.

There’s much more to see and learn about Jeju Island, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to find out where the attractions and hotels can be found in this exciting city.
