It is best to have own transport as Johor is quite a big state, travelling in JB alone takes quite amount of time in travelling itself.
Some of the remote places with good food need multiple transfers of public transportation. Local delights are actually mostly the same throughout Malaysia. :)
Travel by public bus or taxi (by meter and by JB law), you can go any where and any places you want.you can get a map and destinations of interests from any Hotel in JB and Malaysia.
This was my 1st time stay at this hotel and was very comfortable stay there. Hello KItty place was just right beside this hotel and also Legoland adventure you can go via Hotel free shuttle service taking just 7mins from Hotel.
The food around Johor is awesome. From cafes to Bak Ku Teh. Sun Fa Bak Kut Teh is my must try everytime I enter Johor.
Additionally, there are good massage around the area as well. Near to Sun Fa Bak Ku Teh, there is a good massage place called Fazzio Massage. Do drop by for a relaxing foot or whole body massage. It is simply good!
Actually above impression not only for johor bahru .. Johor state was the best area for all activities
This is a city located new to popular country. Numerous global corporate were operating in the city and it has well transportation access to Singapore being a good transit hub for Malaysia or foreigners.
I love good food in jb, hawker style. Relaxation activities are value for money, spas, pedicures and manicure services.
... Massages... Hair salon.. People are very friendly to serve.
Johor Bahru is a city in Malaysia near Singapore. Cost of living is not too high compared to Singapore.
Places of interest include Duty Free Zon, City Square shopping mall, etc. Good city for shopping, spa, and business activities.
A good transit point to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur before the causeway. Good food, but expect Singapore price.
A very traffic jam city. Lack of public transportation. It is inconvenient to walk the city by foot as there is no walk path and it is not so safe.
Overall it would be a great city , if all the on going development complete or the airport has more international flights
I think the biggest factor would be about the safety aspect. I feel very worried about my car, my phone, my wallet, my 8year old son, my beautiful wife, so how can I be relaxed and enjoy my visit to JB.
I have seen with my own eyes a snatch thief take a mans handphone while he was talking on his phone by the road side. JB is very scary and also most Malaysians do not like Singaporeans and will not help us if we are in trouble, I think so we are all very scared to get into trouble in JB cause it will be big, big trouble. I have always like Malaysia and me and my family would always love to go to Malaysia for our holidays, but now its getting really bad and we are cutting down our visits by a lot for fear of trouble or problems that we might face there. I just hope the police play a bigger role in crime prevention and not just collect our car fines only. They seem to be very active in collecting Singaporean car fines but not solving the crime rate in JB. Hoping for the best for JB.
Famous Attraction = LEGOLAND MALAYSIA Anything conecting with bus (JB Sentral to Explore Johor Bahru) and Larkin Terminal to conect with another City.
Prefer take a taxi to explore Johor bahru (Red taxi is cheaper than blus taxi).
Be comfortable with traffic jams and have a large dose of patience. Roads may be more chaotic then what you are usually accustomed to.
Visit hello kitty town, it nice and cool inside the building. And legoland, take wet and dry park, worth the enjoyment.
There are a potentials yet to be explored and expanded in JB. For example, street hygiene can be better maintained, and the old buildings can be refurbished or simply repainted to provide a better impression for tourists.
Other than that, the historical parts are well-kept, and kudos to the cafes with various themes all around JB, which offer a relaxing pace for travelers.
Traffic can be quite tricky depending on the time and weather. Handy to have GPS/Waze at hand 'cos the taxi drivers even get lost trying to find our hotel.
Worth it for Singaporean to do shopping & Spa in JBCC and City Square as it is convenient and near to the immigration check point.
It is really an advantage due to the good currency exchange rate.
A place to get a nice and cheap seafood at Orang Asli Village at Perling. A recommended family vacation at Legoland Malaysia, Hello Kitty Town and the Waterfall at Kota Tinggi.
There is a lot of good food you can find in Johor Bahru. The most I like is the Orang Asli Village which is at Perling, at there you can find 4 seafood restaurant which offer a very cheap and nice food.
A nice scenery as well for photo taking.
JB has been trasforming in the recent years. Due to the establishments of several family themed parks, the city is more attractive to tourists from all over the regions.
Get yourself a good taxi driver or local tour guide to bring you about JB local interests and its very interesting history.
generally i think is quite ok as compare to singapore because in singapore everything is quite costly.
NOT MUCH DIFFERENT WITH OTHER TOWN IN MALAYSIA. SHOPPING, EATING & SIGHTSEING WAS GOOD. NOTHING MUCH.
Very nice place to stay. So quiet. But a lil bit hot more than KL. Not good for honeymoner. Ok for backpacker and couples.
easy to find food.
Up and coming city with a lot of attraction for all type visitors. With focus of federal goverment towards Iskandar as southern region growth area.
More and more foreign theme park and shopping mall is investing and building in JB region.
its a location that has many hidden attractions. Many locations that serve very good local food at a very reasonable price.
ask the friendly locals they will always be glad to share the information.
discovery more beach and food for Malaysian to choice in where that when entry johor look like your are in Singapore
Keep trying. A lot more discipline is required of the bus drivers and companies plying your routes, JB.
Try to be less rude and condescending.
plan your trip for few theme park in Johor Bahru, shopping, cafe hoping and trivel to Mersing for nice beaches and island.
