Best hotels & accommodations in Kalampaka

The hotel is close to the main square of Kalampaka, 15-20 minutes walking from the train station. And it’s just a basic hotel due to its low price. No elevator so if you come with luggages it will be not that convenient. The breakfast is ok and the staff is helpful. If you just want a cheap hotel for an overnight and you don’t have many requirements, it’s recommended.

Wonderful hotel with great staff attitude. The room was extremely comfortable with a proper comfortable double bed (not the strange Greek habit of two single matresses pushed together) and the view from the balcony was special. The staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful and the breakfast is one of the best I have had in Greece. The location is perfect for vis...

Fantastic hotel with exceptional service, delicious breakfast and lovely people. The hotel is not very close to the center of kalambaka (20 min by foot), although the view to the meteora rocks is incredible. The owner is very helpful and nice. We had a pleasant stay in Apavlis Hotel and we hope to come back there!

Location is 5 mins walk from train station. My room(single room) was.quite big. TV channel is good but mainly local programmes. WiFi is bad. As my room.is on ground floor, I can heard people chatting and cars passing by.... especially at night. The best thing about this hostel is the host. They make U feel welcome after 5 hrs train ride. After checking out at 9am for a...

acrually made a last minute booking on the day itself and it was such a blessing in disguisr. Met the most helpful and friendly hotel staff (Katerina i think) during our whole time in Greece. She was super helpful and gave us lotsa tips to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room had a balcony which we could see the Meteora rocks and one monastery. very quaint ...

The room is over our expectation, very large, clean and well furnished. The host, Konstantinos, is very very helpful and kind. Once I completed a booking, he suddenly contacted me to make sure our arrival time and be prepared for us, sending us a location and photos to make sure we could be there right. He is always contactable via instant messaging. Once sending a m...

Went for three nights, stayed six. Hiking to monasteries very convenient, rooms are simple, but clean. Flavia, who manages the hotel is incredibly warm, helpful and kind. I felt very much at home. Away from the busy areas of Kalabaka, Kastraki is smaller and much more peaceful. During off session, that also means fewer places to eat, but the Gardenia was great, and o...

Cosy family run hotel. Room is simple, but whatever needed is provided for, and they are particularly clean and hotel staff very hospitable. They serve such sumptuous breakfast that I need to take a video of the spread. Everything served tastes good. Do give this hotel a try the next time you visit.

We had a fantastic stay in beautiful Kalampaka at the Alsos House. The hotel had amazing views from the balcony and is located right next to the walking trail. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and there is a well-stocked communal kitchen. Also, Yiannis the owner was so friendly and helped us to get a discount on a half-day tour around the monasteries!

Had a lovely 3-night stay with mom, we both enjoyed it very much! Spacious suite with cooking utensils, nice view from all windows, refreshing breakfast at the garden; peaceful environment. Helpful and cheerful hosts and staff, would assist you in every way they could. Asked for extra blanket at booking, was well arranged. Might sound silly, but a complimentary cold ...

this nice hotel is situated right on the footsteps of meteora, in the small and nice village of kastraki, just some km away from kalampaka (or kalambaka), with some nice tavernas around. our room was nice furnished and designed, balcony had a great view on the meteora rocks, bathroom is very well equiped and nicely furnished for this category. breakfast is also above t...

Meteora is right in front of you when you look outside the window or balcony. Before arriving Kalambaka, we had no idea how to go to the monasteries. But when we checked in the hotel, the staff was very helpful and can advice how and when to have the best routes to visit Meteora. They are so friendly that I chatted with them for 1 hour in the less busy afternoon. Brea...

Traveler impressions of Kalampaka
Kalampaka and nearby Kastraki are the perfect areas if you wanna visit Meteora. Meteora is just amazing! A once in a lifetime experience.
Very spiritual place in the Monastery's. The town seems to be hip and happening. The towering Forrest of stony outcrops is a must see for all travellers.
