Kalbarri is such a beautiful place, it's very much like the tv soapie "home & away" with its beautiful bay & sunsets! Locals are snobs & if you listen to their chatter they wish us tourists would just go back home so they can have it all to themselves.
This is evident in the very obvious lack of desire to even serve you, give directions or smile.. Never mind them, go on a gorge cruise, have a picnic & enjoy the beautiful bay.
Local businesses are pretty dead, half the town is for sale, and some businesses still shut once a week even during school holidays.
Three of the restaurants were closed and for sale on our last trip. The outdoor cinema, fishing, sight seeing etc is awesome.
The pink lake in Port Gregory about 80 km away is breathtaking. Nature's Window is also spectacular, along with Hawk's Head.
In fact, most of the Murchison Gorge is really nice. The coastline has so much to see. The rocks colours and formations along the cliffs are incredible. I would highly recommend Kalbarri to anyone.
There was a place for home cooked food. Was really good and cheap! Portion was huge too. Ride a back along the coastal line.
The view was awesome. You get to see a lot of deers too :) Love it!
You Must bring enough water if you are going to nature window. as there is 10 degree hottest than the kalbarri city area.
Kalbarri is the one of the place that i feel nature, and relax, stunning beaches and desert panoramic view.
