"We (4 adults, 1 child) have booked a two floor cottage in Kalliohovi Villas for 1 night (stop over from Rovaniemi to Helsinki). The booking was confirmed by Agoda.com under total price 170Euro including VAT. The cottage seemed in good condition and clean. In the evening, after one person has taken shower, the hot water has run out. We called the property maintenance personnel to visit, he advised us to wait for one hour, and said heating hot water took some time. We waited for one hour but no hot water, till the next morning the hot still didn't return. Next morning during check out, we were told to pay 340Euro. The property agent claimed that in his reservation paper the price was 340Euro. He also said that we have just booked a cottage with no services, but in fact they had provided bed sheet and cleaning service. One thing worth of mentioning that we have done all cleaning work such as washing dish, throwing the garbage, vacuuming the floor etc. all by ourselves without asking. It's our culture and habit to respect other people's property and keep it clean after using. After around 30 minutes of waiting and a number of phone calls, we settled with the property agent on our booking price of 170 Euro. - We were very disappointed on property's poor management and staff performance - No hot water in -6C freezing weather + We were generally satisfied with cottage's condition, despite of no hot water problem We advise any visitors to verify the final price upon arrival to avoid unpleasant experiences we had. The property management requires a lot of improvement from both booking process and onsite services."
