It is advisable to explore the sightseeing offerings at Kijal but just make sure you do not visit during November-January because it will be Monsoon and the roads to Kuantan or Terengganu might get flooded.
If you are overseas customer then this would be a big trouble. For most other sightseeing offerings they are usually open in June.
Kijal has a mini Zoo which has the essentials (Elephant, Tiger, Lion, Orang Utan, Sun Bear) and tree tops bridges which can all be viewed and experienced within 30 minutes.
Kijal is near to the turtle sanctuary too. It is highly educational for young kids. As for food, we find the Sea Sparrow Seafood restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance from Resort World Kijal great. The Chef there can whip up a storm of seafood. Reasonably priced too. Chugai Tong Juan Stuff crab is nice as well but pricey. Street food like Keropok Lekor and Lemang are wonderful and cheap. You can find them along the main road at the road side kiosks.
Lots of F & B outlets to choose from. Head to Hai Peng Kopitiam for some excellent coffee and food. Restoran Malaysia also recommended, but abit expensive.
Very quiet city, with the only cinema in the state and a mall closeby. Not sure why you'd want to visit here unless you are here for business in the area.
It is a peace & quite plc. It is a nice gateaway from the hassle bustle of the city. Like to see the cows & sheeps in their peaceful natural ways.
Nice trees surrounding & the kampong houses were so beautiful & well kept.
There is nothing much to see around this area. Can drive to Kerteh to view the petrochemical plants there at night, biggest in Asia, worth to see.
A GOOD PLACE TO RELAX AND HAVE FAMILY GET TOGETHER.ONLY DISAPPOINMENT IS WE CAN'T SWIM IN THE SEA DUE TO JELLY-FISH AND THE SEA IS VERY ROUGH.
Very nice coastal area. Natural beach can be seen along the main road. Food is not a problem.. You can try all of the local delicacies.
Most cooking is similar to the Thai food. People are very friendly but English language is not too popular here.
It is very close to nature. Take this opportunity to go to see turtle and firefly will be a great experience with the young children.
it is a beautiful countryside. if you want to escape from the city you are recommended to come here. the beach is amazingly beautiful.
It was very enjoyable staying at this resort. We can see the sunrise/sunset from the room. The room is clean and with bath tub.
The swimming pool view is beautiful and it also have two warm jaccuzi over there free for use. Only the food is quit hopeless maybe because of Malay fasting while we travel. Overall this resort is worth to stay for holiday. It was a relax and wonderful trip.

Nice beach for relaxation. The town is slight bigger than Desaru. Can easily find foods and the seafoods are fresh.
Small town. Not for shopping. Only for sight seing. Can see fisherman return back from the sea with a lot of fish.
A short car ride from the resort, there's Mesra Mall, good for shopping and eating areas. There's even a cinema.
Think there's a lot that can be discovered in surrounding areas.
There is only a little change in the surrounding area over the 10 years. But glad to have a shopping mall 10min.
away from hotel.
Nice spread out city, very tidy city centre and very friendly helpful people if you want to ask directions.
GOOD PLACE FOR RELAXATION AND STRESS RELIEF. WHEN IT COMES TO FOOD,NOT GREAT TO COMMENT. NOT MUCH CHOICES.
MY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THE PANDAN COCONUT WE PAID RM6.00.DID TASTE LIKE PANDAN COCONUT. IT WAS A NORMAL TENDER COCONUT.
It is a quite, peaceful and green place. I loved the people, humble and kind. I love the night markets.
