A beautiful resort on the top of kodai near to chettiar park and kurinji temple. A beautiful resort seen so far...very clean and neat ....superb architectural beauty with beautiful garden all around making us feel very close to nature...lot of entertainments especially by the jovial team of resort made us remain there itself the 2 days ...didn't felt like going from there anywhere.food was also tasty...always try book room with food combo which will be better ...housekeeping and management very best...we were adorned by their garden that they had the courtesy to provide us with the beautiful plants to take home...thanks to Thiru Mani John and so ...ever ready staff to help us in need...kids too enjoyed to the maximum with park, videogames , family fun section and more....thankyou agoda for making our holiday very special in le poshe....

Hotel Hamuse is in prime location very near to the Lake. It has ample car park. There is an excellent Veg restaurant in the hotel premises. We stayed in Valley facing suite , plenty of space, very neat , clean and had all required amenities. Fantastic view of outside , especially when excellent climate outside with fog and slight rain outside. Buffet breakfast had lots of options . Quality and tasty food Next time , we go to Kodaikanal, I will book in Hamuse only and nowhere else . Stay in Hamuse "amused" us

Seriously I never knew a resort in centre of the kodaikanal with this peaceful and beautiful location and view....! Resort is very near to all the tourist places and town but if you go inside it ll feel like other place...! Very well maintained resort with professional staffs and services....! Am Happy with the stay...! Keep it up...and I suggest this resort to all kind of travellers and it's worth it. Only suggestion is hot water timing...in kodaikanal you should not keep timing for hot water(6 am to 11 am and 6pm to 11 pm)as it is cold all the time every tourist needs hot water at any time....only that thing is the minus.

Location of the hotel and view of the lake is one of the best things you would like staying in kodaikanal. Hotel was a very noisy as there was some wedding in the hotel where virtually all the rooms were booked by the wedding group. This was certainly disappointing for me as i could not enjoy the lawn although the hotel staff did try to make my stay comfortable and not compromising on the service standards which i really appreciate. What would be useful is if the hotel can keep the guest informed of any such events in future so that they could either amend their dates or cancel the booking. Having said that whenever i am back would stay with the same hotel

Really really loved the place... felt very close to heart... Me and my family really overwhelming with the place... The hotel is located really in such a beautiful place... accessible to everything.. close to bus stand and entrance just next to coalkers walk... also very scenic.... the best part is the restaurant location and set up... really loved it... when we visited it was such a nice cloudy breeze... a slight drizzle... and good dinner made it really romantic... Thank you Villa Retreat for such a treasurely memories.... I highly highly recommend this place for your stay for all sort of ppl... newly married.... couples with new born... family along with parents... it's really awesome... and to finish off my review I should talk about the staff too.... really good and friendly... Thank you...

qlwe booked the 2 bedroom suite. i called the hotel to check and confirm in prior. when we reached the hotel I again discussed that I have booked the 2 bedroom suite. but they gave us 2 damp simhle room. when I protested they said that the suite is already booked. After we protest more then they gave us the suite. they were just trying to rip us off. very bad people. secondly the road to the hotel does not sgow in google map. its horrible and almost non drivable. you even wo t get anything from citi center to drop you to the hotel and its a 45 mins walk. however the view was awesome however t

Hi All, Am from Pondicherry. we started on 5th June '15 at 11 PM from my place and reached Kodaikanal on 6th June 8AM Actual Check-In time was 10 AM, but arranged us the room at 8 AM itself. Breakfast is delicious. Hospitality at Hotel & Restaurant is just superb... WIFI range is very good but dont forget to get Username & Password from Reception (Login from Mobile Browser to enter Credential and connect to Internet) Room Services are prompt and they provide us food on time On Saturday (6th June), we visited all other places except Kodaikanal Lake. As Hiltop is very near to Lake we went for long walk on the same evening and on 7th June we went for Boating. Only issue we face is there is no Lift in Hiltop Towers. My mom is struggling from Obesity and so it was little uneasy otherwise Rest are Great... Enjoy Guys!!!

My wife, daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days at Kodai International. Very courteous and friendly staff (Ram, Malar, Durai, the Chef, Prem Krishnan (Ayurveda massage) and almost everyone. My daughter enjoyed the mini farm with Emu, Rabbits, ducks, parrots, etc. Really wonderful estate. Food was overall fine but a special mention to the idlis, one of the best in town. I liked the 24 Hour check in and check out concept and pretty prompt in their service. I recommend this to people looking for an affordable family resort in Kodai. Venkat

i visited kodai with my family and booked lillys via agoda, but when i reached there i did not like the room as it had only one bathroom, the staff at lillys were extremely cooperative and upgraded me to queens cottage at nominal cost without fuss, the staff were extrememly curteous throughout our stay. the breakfast was typical south indian with idlis dosas puris..etc, was good and felt like it was homemade. there lunch and dinner options are also good. the queens cottage is an wooden cottage like in the olden days and was very comfortable. they also have a small children play area. the location is a little away from the lake but the resort is worth the money.

Had an excellent stay for 4 nights . This property is close to lake so we just to walk around to see the main attractions of kodai like lake, park, coacker’s walk ,and restaurants. The room service boys and the managers were courteous and very supportive. I fell a bit sick on my arrival due to stomach upset and the room service guys took much care by providing juice , cues and offered tablets . Felt much safe and homely . Overall The property is very good and I will surely book here for my next trip.

Location is closer to the Boat house (centre of Kodaikanal). Hotel located in a reasonably good area. Rooms were neat and tidy, Reception and Service was good. Had a minor problem with the TV on the first day of the stay but they offered to shift to a different room for the second day. Breakfast quality and taste was good. Since I travelled with a kid of 7yrs and a twin baby of 2 yrs, hotel mentioned that they upgraded the room type with additional charges. The only disappointment was I expected a good lawn with play area in a big space but to my surprise it was a small space managed well with lot of amenities. Otherwise enjoyed the stay very much.

The hotel is situated near the lake , which makes it the best location for an evening walk or jog in the morning. The hotel has a kids area one level below with lot of activities for kids from painting sessions to PS4 and Playing board etc are payed down across for a family to play along with their kids. They carts which will take you to your rooms and in the evening you have nice evening snacks counter outside in the garden area , where you can relish “ Bajji’s to also bonda , coffee and tea. The hotel has a playing area for kids as well in the garden area. Overall a great hotel to spend the weekend and the only opportunity area is the service and hygiene of the rooms that’s something which need to improved big time. I did give that feedback to the manager , hopefully they will work towards correcting the same.

This was one of the best hotels in Kodaikanal. The receptionist was very kind and nice. In addition, the dinner on the 22nd January 2019 served by FnB manager vriyas (unsure of the name, but sounded like vriyas) was very good with his services. Also, the restaurant manager on the 23rd january monrning was also very kind and good. All the staff did well. Rooms were clean and everything was excellent.

I stayed with a family of three people here for 4 days and have come back home recharged and refreshed with the highs being the scintillating valley views with the mist caressing your soul, the yummy buffet breakfast, the friendly staff and the in-house holiday activities. The lows were the poor roads leading to the resort, slightly away from the city centre, fruit flies, no Wifi in the rooms, lack of ala carte options for dinner. But the pleasant stay will make it a memorable one despite the lows. I would recommend this place for families which want a peaceful and quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

I booked at Jai Hotel and took a cab to the hotel but was informed by the FO staff that my room is actually at the Hilltop Towers a few Kilometers away. The Hilltop Towers hotel is located right in the middle of Kodaikanal town beside the main road. One has to be able to adjust to the noisy car horns the whole day until around 10pm. The hotel is run down & dusty but the staffs are very friendly and helpful. that is a great plus. The breakfast was great. I was a bit surprised that their check-in time was 10am and check out time 9am. They were very strict about this so I had no cjoice but to check out immediately after breakfast by 9am in a town there was still quite asleep at that time. My bus was at 1.40pm. Overall it was a fairly good place to stay as the parks, lake and shops are all quite close by.

One of the best resorts I have visited in the recent times. This resort compliments the beauty of Kodaikanal. Situated nearly 20 kms away from the city, this place offers a lot to do. Rooms are really nice and cozy. Made of wood. Also made during British era. Lot of open space to roam around and take pictures. Has a water flowing nearby with Waterfall trek offered by the staff (paid). It has lounge area where you can play board games or just hang out with your friends. The restaurant is also really good. Loved the breakfast. Dinner as well. The approach road to the resort is a little bit scary hence be prepared for a bumpy ride. Also try to reach here in daylight as the mobile network rarely comes. Enjoy the stay here. Very close to the nature.

paraa homestays was located almost at the top of the misty hill, giving it's occupants one of the best views that any hotel in the city of kodaikanal had to offer. the cottages were clean and had all the facilities that one needs. They have a kitchen that serves breakfast (honestly, the best dosa and idli I've had). lunch and dinner are served but you will have to order ahead. the only trouble we've faced is the fact that it is far from the kodai lake. However, taxis are available which charge around 300-350 to go till the lake. overall a great place to spend your holidays.

We were quite unimpressed with this hotel. It was damp, run down & noisy. We understand that Kodaikanal is wet & foggy so it's difficult to dry things, however we come from the UK so don't have sympathy if you can't maintain your hotel in the natural weather! ;) Invest in tumble driers or a heated room so that the towels/bedding don't smell damp & of mildew. The hotel was also very cold, including the freeeezing water. We had no hot shower & had to go to another room in the morning to shower. We had all kinds of problems getting this arranged as the men sent a lady who couldn't speak English. I felt sorry for her as she tried to use sign language to explain! Why the men didn't just explain I don't know... The other guests are rowdy & stayed up all night. I think it seems like a bachelor hotel & destination, which we didn't really understand. The huge groups of Indian young men were lairy & would be intimidating if we were more shy. Breakfast looked to be a huge rush for South Indian food (we were sick of it by then so we did not have) & food was all over the corridor floor. It was disgusting. Good points though - fast internet in reception, friendly staff (despite language barrier) & very comfy bed. All 3 of us squished into the double bed because the extra mattresses were damp/dirty. We were very warm together!!

We went to Kodaikanal after a whole nights drive and saw everything was in place. There was hot water in the geysers, drinking water in the room. The room was neatly done. The food was home cooked and tastes awesome. The best food one can expect. The whole location was so serine and owner and the staff was so awesome that you would automatically be very happy. Another group had a bonfire going, that can also be arranged.

stayed in this hotel from 15th - 17th June with wife and mom-dad.. Although it took some time to locate the hotel as hardly 1-2 hotel direction boards are seen on the way, but all pains were just gone by seeing hotel location and premise. We booked 2 superior rooms but luckily we got a villa suite(2bhk-duplex) having fantastic site. Check-in was quick room look little old but maintained quite well. Specially weather was very good and breezy. It was thoroughly blossoming season everywhere..Being a nature lover we truly enjoyed it! Premise is well maintained and food quality is good.(It takes approx 20-30 mins to serve a dish in case of a la carte food) Its one of the few hotels in kodaikanal which has large premise around and quite near to the city centre. Check out was also smooth and they didn't take even a single penny more then expected. I would definitely recommend this place and would prefer to stay there again.

This is a good place to park yourself and your car, at night for your jaunts during the day, in town or fringes, including dining out! Though it could get noisy and you would get disturbed at ungodly hours by both human and vehicular traffic just outside the room. This is not at all a place for guests who wants amenities/facilities let alone any sort of a staying experience, room service etc.,
