Koh Chang hotels & accommodations

This is one of the nicest, centrally located hotels in Koh Chang. The hotel is modern, clean and air conditioned. The beachside restaurant has a view that is out of this world. The staff are cheerful and helpful, each day the chambermaid made our towels into a different shape- one day she even made an elephant!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in deluxe garden view villa.Nice good sized rooms, large bed, amazing bathroom with in located in northern part of white Sand Beach.Beach itself is nice and clean , free of stones.Wifi worked ok, typical connection for Thailand's hotel wifi.you are best to get a sim from one of telcos with decent amount of data and you are set. we...

My wife had stayed here many years ago and felt its resort status and location were going to be the same. The location of the resort on that portion of Koh Chang beach was the best. It was located on a protective cove so the scene was serene. The breakfast buffet was excellent with more food items than could be imagined. We used the beachfront restaurant for lunch ...

The Dewa is probably one of the nicest designed hotels in Koh Chang. Designed in beautiful contemporary design, using a lot of concrete in combination with natural materials. All rooms are located immediately adjacent to the large pool, in a 2 story high building. Hotel also has some villas. The rooms are large, so is the bath room. The standard of finishing is high. ...

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We don't really like big flashy hotels, rather simple places in nice locations. If you like to be near great exciting night life Kai Bae is not the best place on Koh Chang for you, it is a great place to relax and chill out. All the staff treat you as one of the family and it is certainly a resort that lives up to Thailand's claim t...

This is the most beautiful Resort in Koh Chang Island I've been here on March 20 – I have stayed in many different hotels in this Island compares to others this is the best Resort. The Resort itself located on the beautiful Beach and when you go out from the Resort very nearby is biggest Tesco Lotus Supermarket, 7 Eleven, the main city where you can enjoy the City life...

I can’t imagine why one would give this resort a negative review. The entrance and facilities look stunning. The room is huge and a bit dark (which we actually loved). Our room had a little porch with a kind of a double sun bed that looked into the pool (which was again, huge). The resort has a little beach (artificial) with nice sun beds; we could always find a free...

I rented a nice scooter for baht a day and drove nearly everwhere. I checked out quite a few other hotels that I looked at on the net. Trust me when I say, you wont find a better hotel than than this. Its not a 5 star but its as close as you can get. Its not on the beach, but I have to say, the beaches in Koh chang are not their high point anyway. I saw their sister h...

We liked everything about this place; the beachfront bungalow with its en-suite bathroom, very spacious, clean and well equipped (with great WiFi) , just a few steps to the sea; the restaurant on the beach serving delicious food and excellent breakfast in the morning; the facility with a pleasant swimming pool just in case one gets tired of the beach :-). Thai massage...

After seven hours of bus from Bangkok airport, we got to koh Chang finally but really tired, fortunately this hotel is well located and really near the pier and the best beach "the white sand beach" in koh Chang. The resto is quite modern and awesome buffet breakfast every morning could easily make a great start for the whole day:)!! Rooms r clean and they prepare almo...

Cliff Beach is a wonderful resort, it's honestly the best choice for Kai Bae Beach in comparison to others. Kai Bae is only about a mile and a half long and Cliff Beach offers the only accessible sandy beach with no rocks. I was looking into the Awa and White Knot, their beach is terrible, but they offer great views. Our room was great, we had poolside view and ocean v...

I really enjoyed my time at KB Resort. I moved here from another area on Koh Chang, and it really is a very nice beach. The resort itself was one of the nicest places I stayed at my entire time in Thailand, though I was mostly staying at midrange guesthouses so this was a bit of a step up and a nice way to splash out and finish my trip. I didn't eat at the restaurant...

This was like a dream coming true; staying at a place which has best of everything to offer which you would be thinking while making a booking. Its located on the main road, which is a big plus knowing that this is a beach resort. Has a quick, responsive, responsible, amiable staff which will go out all the way to make you feel special. The hotel will make every effor...

We stayed at few hotels in Koh Chang but this one is THE BEST. Amazing beach, very quite, authentic wooden bungalows and decent hot breakfast. The cons - bungalows have very thin walls so if you're Thai love tourist - it's no deal :), pool is rather small and the staff is not that friendly. But you'll not find better place for the value of money in Koh Chang.

The end of cheap beach huts. all getting expensive now and no discounts. I was in Koh Chang 2003 , 20016 , 2017 and it's the end for a solo traveller on a budget. if there's 2 of you , it's ok. Pros , fan huts are nice and big , shower good and toilet , bed nice. pool lovely and food , drink good but expensive now days. Cons. The beach isn't lonely beach anymore. f...

I loved having a room facing the beach, the staff is very nice, the place is clean and well maintained. The cabana is a wonderful place to hang out and the owners are such wonderful people! The food is delicious and the ambiance is worth being in a movie! The pool is large and clean and they have motorcycles for rent. I really loved this place and made wonderful friend...

We stayed in 5 different rooms in 3 different resorts while on Koh Chang and Chai Chet was the best by far. HUGE property. Gorgeous views in several directions. It sandy beach bungalows on one side, rocky beach bungalows, jungle bungalows, and more. They have their own jungle/ocean hiking trail! Best pool of my stay in Thailand. We were really happy to find th...

- very nice grounds, beautiful gardens, clean and uncrowded beach. - staff very polite and always smiling, although lacking some good english. - food in the bar and restaurant is not pricey, good quality but small choice. - average breakfast. - nice SPA, but never tried it, so can't compare with others. prices start from BHT 800 etc. - hotel is completely silent a...

We loved this hotel. Perfect location for us, great rooms, and friendly staff. there's a little hut/bar just by the beach, with the best barman you could hope for (Jeep I think his name was). Koh Chang is a beautiful place, and we'd definitely stay here again.

i have stayed in a lot of hotels in koh chang and this is best one so far i stayed in the beachside rooms they are a good size with seperate shower and bath, large beds, staff were very helpful ( the night watchman is an absolute diamond just take ten mins to get to know him i spoke to him everynight and he could not do enough for us ) food is very good and staff will ...

I really had great experience staying in this resort. The room is well decorated with the modern and beautiful facilities. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I also love the atmosphere around the resort on the way to the beach. I would love to recommend to everyone who seek for peaceful stay in Koh Chang.

Great value, at least off season, on a prefect white sand beach with clear sea. I loved the 8 days I had in my Seaview Bungalow. Very spacious, good bed with 4 pillows, nice terrace, a few steps in the white sand to bath in the sea. Nice and friendly staff, enjoyable breakfast buffet. The wifi connection was up and down, but maybe due to the previous torrential rains ...
Cheap places to stay in Koh Chang

I stayed few nights there in super cute bungalow! Room was clean and there was air conditioning. Stuff is super friendly. Food in Cafe del Sunshine is the best in Koh Chang. So delicious! And it’s value for money. And yes, it’s loud there because the guesthouse is in the party street. But if you like party it’s great place to stay! And you can get ear blocks from th...

Party hostel located right in front of the beach with a great view towards the sea and far streched Lonely beach. The dorm is fresh and well air conditioned with everything you need and the staff is very nice and helpful. I stayed there when they arranged Half moon party and had a really fun time and met awesome people.

Wee & Pea are the sweetest hosts. They welcome you in their awesomely built jungle paradise with everything you may need and more: comfortable rooms, kitchen, laundry service, common area, free tea/coffee, clean bathrooms, special seafood bbq... smiles!:) Everyone I have met here is so friendly. The best beach of Koh Chang imho is a short 5 min walk, and on the way you...

The dorm beds here are the best I’ve ever come across, each having lots of space, a huge mattress and a curtain that completely enclosed the space. There were 2 en-suite shower rooms/toilets and they were also great, with free shampoo and soap. There were quite a few ants in one of the bedroom spaces, and we had to get fresh loo paper ourselves from reception area,, a...

The owner is very kind and accommodating. Each bungalow is equipped with a comfortable bed, mosquito net and fan; a clean bathroom with shower (no hot water) and western flushing toilet. Windows are louvered glass and there’s a lock for the door. The front porch has a hammock and sitting area. With lights, electric sockets and free wi-fI as well, it’s hardly primitive....

A great place to unwind and watch the world, it’s the best TV in the world! All the staff are so helpful, they will laugh at your bad Thai, get you cheap deals on anything you need, but the best thing is that they are all very trustworthy. I did not lock my door once, they look after the environment and the view from the bar and beach front properties is amazing. YuYu ...

We stayed at Koh Chang Hut Hotel before. We have tried several different rooms and 2 bungalows. All very nice. If you live in bungalows you can have a real quiet stay. Some of the rooms are facing the street and of course there is a Little more noice there but it is nice to Watch the life. Rooms facing the garden are quiet. We shopped around for nice and comfortable...

I've stayed a couple of bungalows in Thailand so far and this Jungle Garden is the cleanest one ever, they also have a hummock shop, which has a vary of hummocks with explanations, in their propaty. The owners are so kind and friendly. They gave me some nice info in the island such as the best coffee shop over there. (And actually it was!) On top of that, when I was wa...

Really enjoyed our stay here. Had a hut each and it was nice for a change up rather than hotel or guesthouse. Plus the people who run it are lovely. Nice cheap food there and they were so friendly and easy to go swimming straight from the hut. Bailan is quiet but lonely beach is only a 15 min walk or even quicker if you rent a bike for only 200 baht a day. Highly recom...

Basic and cheap accommodation on Koh Chang. In the garden, so expect a lot of bugs in and around your hut. Owner is very rude. Bailan beach isn't the best, so you need transportation to get to nice places. Even getting to Lonely beach at night you'd need a scooter/taxi. There are a few decent restaurants though.

I stayed 3 nights at Klongson. not far from the ferry terminal and in terms of accessing both east and west sides of Koh Chang it made a good base. A family run business, the landlady prides herself on giving a good deal. Happy to chat and friendly with it. Both Thai and Italian food on the menu. Portions were good and the food was spot on. I can thoroughly recommen...

A mixed bag. + great value. Less than 500 baht for an air conditioned, clean room ? The lady boss is pretty nice once she warms up to you. Even as a Thai speaker, this took effort. The other staff are not helpful. ? No bottled water in the room. I asked them to fill up my 1 liter bottle and I got strange looks ? If you're on foot, you can't venture up the hill ...

I came here with my boyfriend on holiday, and although we are not really in the "backpacker" scene anymore, we wanted to see all parts of Koh Chang. We booked a very cheap room at blue sky, and it was a bit too "budget" for my tastes. The host offered us an uprage for 100 baht a night. That was the best 100 baht ive ever spent! We had our own detatched bungalow literal...

We had a very good experience staying here for two nights. I stayed also in Lonely Beach and white sand beach and have to say I really prefer this neighborhood to stay in Koh Chang. Probably my favorite beach, and best variety of restaurants and shops. Paradise Bungalows sit across the street from the beach access (SO worth a two minute walk to save the money from the ...

It was a pleasure time. I am Thai who like budget traveling. In Koh Chang, many sea view in popular beaches are owned by the 5 stars hotels but this hotel can also make the view and layout very attractive and money worth. It's a very incredible place for sunset, with coconut trees, sea, hammock and swimming pool in just one glance. I think they can even use the space ...

Although we arrived very early for check-in, the staff we very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags in a vacant room until ours were ready. We'd only booked for one night and my friends wanted to stay on Koh Chang longer, Ban Aunrak was fully booked but they helped my friends secure other accommodation nearby. The rooms were spacious and airy with fridge and TV and...

It was amazing!!! The best place to stay in Koh Chang! We didn't stay in the dormitory we had a private room and it was very clean. The room, the bathroom and the balcony was perfect! The beach is just a min walk, but some construction going on so the view isn't that great. It's little far from the white sand beach & lonely beach if you want go party. Or else awesome p...

This hotel was very satisfactory for us. The room (stayed in the main building - not the bungalow) was perfect, the bed was just right (also the pillows which is an exception in Thailand :) ), the pool was excellent and the owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed them. Would definitely and probably will - recommend!!

The rooms have everything you need: ac, fridge, tv and bathroom with shower. They are cheap so don't expect 5 star standard (duh). Basically its pretty good for this price range and you pretty much need a motorbike on Koh Chang where ever you live so the location is not a problem.

Very basic bungalow , clean to a point and with the odd live bugs , ants mostly entering from cracks in poorly fitted wood and vented bathroom. Still it had a fridge, king bed, tv and clean towels. It was ideal for a short hop to the beach but you really need car or bike to enjoy as indeed for most of the island, but for those that don’t there are low costs buses. Th...

Easy to find - rigth in the beginning of white sands beach. Nice looking building (there is construction just next door, but not disturbing at all), friendly staff (good english) checked us in. Room was just like on the pictures. Must be quite new or it felt like it for sure. Rooms are clean, and cleaned every day. Bathroom perhaps one thing that could be bit nicer, bu...

our stay was very comfortable, i stayed with my wife and 1 child and 1 infant in a small room but very clean and nice. the only thing negative about this hotel is their TV inside room is small and not so many channel but that was not a big issue cause we not intended to stay inside room, we just stayed for rest and for sleep and i really recommend it to everyone as it ...

We stayed at Nirvana for 10 days over Christmas 2009 and would definitely visit again. We picked the hotel because it is small, only 11 rooms, and in a peaceful location in the south west of Koh Chang. The hotel is on a small peninsula, with water on both sides and has been beautifully designed and laid out to make the most of the landscape. The rooms are spread out, s...

First of all you may face a confusion to find it, because this villa is part of Siam royal view resort and it is not mentioned anywhere in the booking as it is owned by private person. With some help of local people we have reached, but first we were disgusted with mouldy smell inside the villa, also it was told to us that there is a maid who is cleaning every 3 days. ...

We stayed for 5 days and wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked according to Agoda. We were pretty satisfied with our stay (room 303). We had rented scooter so location wasnt a big deal but we're glad we chose this place. We thought it was central, but mostly because we had scooter. + Fitness room + Great private swimming pool + Access ...

Beautiful resort in it's own oasis on Koh Chang. I spent the last 3 nights of a two week holiday at Peninsula Beach Resort and it was and it was perfect way to end the trip. Breathtaking sunsets over the calm serene sea sent me back home feeling well rested and tanned! Be sure to explore and take advantage of the non-touristic Thai village and restaurants while stay...

Room was very spacious & new with great ocean scenery, and all staffs were very kind with high quality service. I recommend you to stay here for real rest in isolated luxury environment. Because it's brand new there are some points to improve such as limited TV channel option from the room & difficult access to the west beach downtown in Koh Chang.

Our stay at Serenity Resort Koh Chang was perfect from start to finish. We originally choose the quiet side of Koh Chang Island for our last week of a three month trip overseas for it's relaxing atmosphere and authentic vibe. We could not be happier with our decision! Steve and the rest of his staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, advising us on places to go, makin...

We enjoyed our stay. Our 2 bedroom duplex was beautiful, had everything we needed and lovely towels and bedding. You could cook all your meals as no proper restaurant yet. The pool was nice and the location. It could be a 5 star once it's finished but isn't yet. The duplex was perfect for our family though and we would go back if we could get another discounted pr...

Baan Rim Nam was exactly what my Fiancee and I were looking for. It was clean, the staff were all friendly and very helpful. Perfect place to just sit back and do absolutely nothing or explore via Kayak to your arms fall off. Lovely access to the beach or ocean via Kayak or by foot. I would recommend this place highly for someone who wants to just really take it easy b...

We spent 5 nights at this resort for our honey moon and it was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed with a cold towel and a Thai herbal drink upon arrival. It was really best hotel I have ever stay before! Not 5, 6 or 7 stars!!! So nice and stylish, everything is made of wood, room is amazing (superior room): really huge with a soft bed, coffee machine and several varieties of tea and coffee, cookies and many snacks, aroma lamp with a pleasant lemongrass smell. When I have arrived- senior manager met me and showed everyth...

The east side of the island is a perfect place to relax & spend some time enjoying the beautiful landscape with a book to escape city life.
I would come back to Koh Chang only as a layover to go to Koh Wai or Koh Kuk. I was VERY disappointed when I saw the elephant parks.
Koh Chang is a beautiful and picturesque island with mountainous and rain forest covered interior and no airport so it's a bit more off the beaten track than some of the other Thai islands such as Phuket or Koh Samui.
If your are in thailand on holiday and dont want to travel to fare south its a island to visit, but its no differnt from, koh phi phi, koh samet, koh tao, koh pagnang.
its a place where life is laid back and no problems if you want loud music they have or a quiet night they have resturant many and many beautiful beaches and nature its there people helpful friendly from lonely beach to white sand to the fishing village 3 diffrent places i think anyone would enjoy a stay there with cheap beach hut from 500 bhat to a resort at 4000 bhat caters for every taste and buget go and enjoy for yourself
We went to Koh Chang for relaxation and so do not go to bars or do many of the other water sports. Where we were was more remote and very quiet.
Koh Chang is not a town, it is an island. For further info, read my comments in earlier sections of this review.
Koh chang is a big island, u wouldnt feel like u r on the island, it seems to me like a big city located in the mountain area.
Beautyful Island which offers everytzhing what Thailand is known for. I definitively will come back again.
Not a place for shoppers. But there is everything else you want if you have a car and are prepared to travel round.
Should one not be into sports, there are much more interesting locations to stay in in Thailand. Everything is overpriced and of questionable value
i love this island very much~ this is my 2nd time visit this island~ i really enjoy here~ get freedom and relax ~
A great variations of beaches. Hiking and jungle trekking. It´s a great island for biking if you want a challenge with steep hills.
The people here are genuinely lovely and good at what they do. The best fruit smoothies, thai massages, pad thai and spring rolls and service all around.

We absolutely loved Koh Chang!! It is beautiful, and VERY relaxing. It is exactly what we were looking for.
It's very quiet even though there are a lot of people visiting the island. Perfect for a short vacation and relaxing.
I have been to Koh Chang 7 times now and have had a great experience every time. It is defiantly one of my favourite islands in Thailand I highly recommend a visit.
Beautiful island but too many Russian tourists destroyed the prices. Now to high for Thai standard. Also everywhere plastic, noisy music all around, even on romantic beaches.
A nice island but it is starting to get more developed so now is a good time to go before it gets spoilt.
Good location for enjoying nature including marine activities such as snorkeling or diving, elephant trekking and tree top walking.
The road throughout the island is dangerous and for this reason, the family was hesitant to explore other areas.
Koh Chang is probably the most relaxing out of all the other islands in Thailand. The beaches are beautiful and everyone is very friendly! If you can ride a motorcycle it is the best and cheapest way to get around the island! It is also the most fun!
I have done many activities in Koh Chang from snorkaling elephant riding tree top adventure this time and would recomend.
Klong Nonsi waterfall Food at Pens bungalows Bakery n breakfast treats at Crust bakery Awesome beach time Brilliant for taking a bike around for a day
Unless you're a nature freak you will run out of things to do on the island. 3 nights is all that I would recommend.
Nice tropical island, nice beaches and sea swimming, big tropical forest centrally worth a visit (but only with a guide!!) Large array of different restaurants with excellent food.
There is many places for to discover in this island if you can drive or ride ... Not only enjoying on nice beach but the greenish of this island can make your days more fun
Koh Chang is a great island which in my opinion is relatively unspoiled by commercialisation as some of the other islands in Thailand have been.
Beautiful island away from the madness of other resort style islands. Maybe peak season is different, but I found it quite relaxing and peaceful.
