"Celes is a beautiful resort. New, modern, with a great design, we just didn't want to leave. The pool is gorgeous, just like in the pictures and it was wonderful and relaxing to spend the days between bathing in the sea and pool. The hotel has a nice gym and a library that i used to pick 2 books and read during our stay. The breakfast is very good too. The only negative aspect about the hotel was that the prices of restaurant and spa are too high and there is no activities/ animation after 7pm. But these are minor points because in 15min walking we can find very nice restaurants in fisher man village which was my favorite town in the island. There is even a night market at mondays wednesdays and fridays very clean with great cheap food. There are also 2 or 3 places to eat in the beach just next to celes and many spas with great massages with reasonable prices. We loved our stay and realy recommend celes and fishermam village for a great relaxing stay in koh samui."

"We are a backpacking couple who fell in love with this hotel. We booked the same day before our flight left from Bangkok. We got to the hotel around 8:30 at night not knowing what to expect. We were so happily surprised (and grateful) to find that it's paradise!! The beach is your backyard here. We had the cheapest room with no view, however, that did not impact our stay at all as the beach and beautiful views are only steps away from anyone's room. The room is extremely clean with a mini-fridge, great working A/C, 2 bottles of complimentary water, private bathroom, sitting area, flat screen tv and towels. For travelers on a budget (especially longterm travelers), this is the best deal for your money. Not only do you get to experience a secluded beach away from the packed tourist beaches in Koh Samui, but the room is great and makes you feel at home. Wifi is also free in the rooms which is an added plus! Breakfast was included in our stay, although there is not much variety, it's still a plus for mornings when you want to grab a quick bite to eat and head to the beach. The pool is also amazing and the restaurant has tables all around the pool, bar and deck near the beach view. We booked for 1 night originally, but once we saw how clean and nice the rooms were and how beautiful the backyard beach is, we booked 2 more nights. Recommendation: Rent a scooter! It's only around $6 USD a day for a 24 hour rental. You can explore the the island (Lamai and Chaweng areas) with a scooter and it's loads of fun!"

"After our stay in Hansar Bagkok and Hansar Koh Samui we will always if possible will stay in Hansar Hotels. We spent 30 days in Thailand for our honeymoon in varuos 5 star hotels and the breakfast was always the best at Hansar hotels. The rooms were spaciuos with high quality modern design and big bathroom. The service level at all Hansar hotels is exceptional. Good gym facilities and good drinks at the bar with 3 happy hours per day. The hotel is only 100m away from the fishermans viallge ful of many cute restaurants serving Thai and Western food. The only minus for me was Bophut beach as the sand was very rough nad it was very deep in the sea directly which meant that children could swim in the swimming pool only as in December it is very windy in Koh Samui and the waves are very big. I wish Hansar was at Chaweng or Lamai beaches. Highly recomend the stay in any Hansar hotel!"

"I stayed at a Deluxe Sea View room which overlooks the restaurant and pool. The room is great! Very well furnished and spacious. Everything is very new which gave an elegant feeling. The best part of a hotel in Koh Samui is the facilities to enjoy the beach, to relax and to enjoy the time in the hotel. I love the infinity pool which overlooks the ocean. There is also a poolside bar which I enjoy having a drink while in the pool. It is a first experience for me. The restaurant serve very good and wide variety of Thai food and Western food. Food quality is good. The price is reasonable considering it is a hotel. There is also lots of daily programs in the hotel throughout the week. I can stay in the hotel without stepping out. The hotel also provide a shuttle bus to 2 nearby shopping places at a reasonable price of 50 to 100 baht."

"Crystal Bay Yacht Club is located on a beautiful part of the beach in Koh Samui. The bungalows are a great size and clean. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a divider so you don't have the typical Asian wet bathroom floor. The restaurant is a little pricy for Koh Samui, but really well priced for a resort. Restaurant staff are very friendly, switched on and speak english well. Thai massage is offered on site overlooking the beach for a very reasonable price and the masseuses are very talented. As someone in the fitness industry who has spent a lot of time and money on physiotherapists, myotherapists and masseuses (in both the western world and Asia), Ticha, Dai and Noi know what they are doing. This shows as they are busy all day long! There isn't too much walking distance from the resort but we rented a scooter to get about, and also booked our trip to Koh Phangan via reception. For anyone who needs to work while they are travelling - as we did, the internet at Crystal Bay is reliable and as fast as you will get on the island. It seemed to be a great place for families with younger children, and we could take our parents there and they would be comfortable. Definitely would return. We are a mid-30s couple who work remotely and travel regularly."

"I loved my stay at the Montien House Hotel. The hours I spent reading hotel reviews online certainly paid off with this choice. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa which I got for a great price by booking through Agoda. The hotel is in a prime location in the middle of Chaweng beach, close to restaurants, bars, shopping and pretty much anything you could ask for. The beach out front of the hotel is nice enough, but just a 5-10 minute walk south brings you to the clearest and most beautiful part of the beach. The hotel is just far enough away from the neighboring Ark Bar to not be disturbed by the club music that pumps out of there starting at 10 or 11am each day. The service at the hotel was fantastic - some places think good service means being in your face all the time. This place gets it just right - someone is always there when you need something but otherwise you are pretty much left alone. The one downside might be the small size of the main pool (which is often filled with children splashing), but with our own private pool, this wasn't an issue for us. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Koh Samui. "

"We stayed at the privilege hotel on our recent visit to Koh Samui . We payed £31 UK Sterling for 1 night and went for the garden View. The hotel is lovely and won many awards which I can see why . The service from start to finish was excellent and nothing is too much trouble for staff . The location is right on the beach and the pool over looking the beach is stunning . It has a lovely restaurant on the garden side and serves bar snacks at pool in the main reception as well as in house treatments and various other services . It’s on the quieter side of Samui so a taxi into Chaweng will cost 300 Baht and 15min drive to the busier nightlife but we preferred to have somewhere quieter to go back and sleep . Plus it’s right near Koh Samui airport and the hotel drove us there for our flight back to Bangkok for 300 Baht . Probably one of the nicest hotels we stayed in on our island hopping holiday . Excellent hotel and highly recommended. Thank you Kayla and Liam UK"

"The hotel grounds are very large. Our bungalow was high up on the hill and it was quite a trek to the beach. We did not mind this as we had just spent a couple of days on Koh Tao where the bungalow was right on the beach. The water is much nicer (more clear) in Koh Tao so we were fine with spending less money at our hotel in Koh Samui even if it meant we were further from the water. The pools are very nice at this hotel. We spent several hours at the pool overlooking the beach and Gulf. We did swim in the pool but we did not swin in the Gulf. Breakfast was very nice. If you want to go into town where the action is you will need to take a shuttle or taxi. We were happy to stay away from the crowds but if you like to be at the center of things you may want a hotel closer to town. If you like to hang out at a nice pool and look at beautiful scenery without the crowds this is a good hotel. We were happy that we spent two days in Koh Tao and two days in Koh Samui as the vibes are very different (Koh Tao is better if you love nature and don't mind rustic). "
