Best hotels & accommodations in Kratie

This is propably the best hotel in kratie, the only one i know that has a gym and a sauna both a wet sauna and dry. There also is a breakfast buffet with khmer and asian food mainly. There are nice river views, wifi was good not much to fault except lack of hot water and they have generator on site when blackouts occur in kratie.

We stayed at this hotel two weeks after it opened. It is located about 1km from the town center. From the restaurant you can overlook the fields and watch the cows and horses grazing. It was a very quiet location at the edge of the village surrounded by locals’ stilt houses. TIP: If you take a motorbike taxi or tuk tuk, make sure the driver knows where to go. As the h...

We loved this guesthouse for our stay in Kratie. The rooms are clean and spacious. Kratie is a small town and this guesthouse is a great option. They are also a hotel school so you can interact with many students and give back to Cambodia through your stay

i came to stay at sala bungalows kind of by accident through agoda. i needed a place to days before my scheduled arrival at a hotel in kratie. the hotel was special for me but it is definitely not for everyone. there is no tv/radio, no air conditioning, no nets on the windows (though there is one over the bed). the antique furniture and decorations make each bungalow ...

We are a family travelling with a 7 year old child and planned to stay for 2 nights. Although the bungalow was booked months earlier, it was not available because some customers have extended their stay for an extra night: so the night we were split in 2 rooms. Anyway the staff was so kind, and the cook so good that this matter was quickly forgiven. The food is a bit m...

I arrived the hotel very late but the owner didn't forget about my booking, kept a room for one night. The owner has been working as a French tour guide in Phnom Penh, so he knows well about tourism and speaks French and English frequently, which are very helpful for staying at Kratie. Other staffs entertained me while I had a dinner at the restaurant. Recommended.

Clean, simple, and all you need. Friendly staff, though some confusion arose from the online booking (they weren't sure if we had paid- we had). Good location, though be aware that they lock the main entrance door early. We were out until 11PM one night and got locked out! Eventually, they did come down though :). Would stay again, just talk to them if you are out late...

Probably the best choice in Kratie, however quite overpriced! Small hotel, just 3 or 4 rooms, right on the Mekong riverside, nice view indeed. Deoration china style, rooms reasonably big, very hard bed. Restaurant quite good with a wide selection - French, Italian, Khmer, staff attentive, delicious Beef Lok Lak, Ideal for a night or two to go Dolphin watching.
excellent stay. The hotel was conveniently located and rooms were comfortable and quiet. We were on the 3rd floor but staff carried our luggage up to the room. The view from the 3rd floor was wonderful where there was a large shared balcony area.It was an easy walk to the centre, the market, and restaurants. Staff were very helpful with transport from Kratie and with wr...
hotel bit old fashioned but was was fine. the lift didnt work - wet room shower with electric water heater. the bed was comfortable and room was clean. staff very friendly but did not speak much english. the restaurant only served cambodian food - the chicken curry was just bones with soya. lots of flies. the breakfast choice of eggs but not cooked properly so we di...

I booked for one night and ended up staying for five. The guesthouse is clean, safe, comfortable, and very conveniently located - next to a big market and a two-minute walk from the river. Lots of restaurants nearby, motorbikes to get anywhere, and the feeling of being smack in the center of local Kratie life. Loved the fact that this guesthouse has a spacious rooftop...

Very underwhelming. We live in Cambodia so nothing surprises us, but the customer service was particularly poor - restaurant staff resentful of customers and inattentive staff in the hotel. The cleaner banging on the door and trying to break in whilst ignoring our cries to wait very early in the morning just to give us an unneeded bottle of water was a new one though. ...

It was comfortable enough. The staff did there job neither rude or particularly friendly. We booked this as there was a very limited choice in Kratie on agoda. If I was going to Kratie again I would just look around for a guesthouse once I got there although if I didn't find something that was ok I would stay here again.

We are two backpackers travelling through Cambodia. Because we needed some rest and recovery after Siem Reap we decided to go to Kampong Cham and Kratie to look at the dolphins there. In Kampong Cham there is nothing really "to do", which means: perfect to relax and let your soul rest a bit: The Guesthouse was perfect for this! We had a great big room with huge balcony...

Traveler impressions of Kratie
Pleasant city. Lovely tuk tuk drivers. We visited Kratie specifically to see the Irrawaddy dolphins in the Mekong.
The dolphins are a great thing to see and Kratie is a great place to visit. I stayed to long! One to 2 nights is enough.
The only real things to do in Kratie are to rent a motorbike, see the dolphins, and visit the island of Koh Trong with its floating village.
the city is not really as big as some other tourist cities such Phnom Penh and Siem Reap but it's really curbed for your travel.
After I moved my hotel to Heng Heng 1, I was able to have a very relaxing break here. The view from my new hotel was excellent with good balconies to sit and and observe the local people as they came and went to the Island opposite.
A typical Cambodian town - a very long way to go in the hotel stakes. Yes, I know I am in Cambodia and I dont expect Western standards I just want a nice meal and not be surrounded by flies whilst eating it .
Go see the dolphins. Do NOT stay at Rajabori Villa or at the Bungalow (same owner - very overpriced).
