Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

"It was a real pleasure to stay at the MO. The service was impeccable, the staff very professional and kind, the hotel is in a great location and the breakfast was really excellent. Any question, or request we had were immediately answered to by the hotel staff. The only disappointment was the view from the room, we booked the room with the tower view, but it is very close to the towers and they were not lit so we were really surrounded by buildings and skyscrapers (the pictures shown on the website are not accurate). Otherwise it was a great experience. If we ever return to Kuala Lumpur, MO will be our first hotel choice!"

Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur

"The Legend Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was an excellent experience, especially the staff. They were polite, smiled, and provided overall excellent service. The breakfast was very good and had a good variety of food. The hotel was a bit out of the main area, but that was probably good. The train was just outside the hotel. I enjoyed the daily newspaper and there was a good selection of TV channels. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. I would stay there again on my next trip."

Hilton Kuala Lumpur
KL Sentral,Kuala Lumpur - View on map
"This is a great hotel to stay for a few days relaxing in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is at KL Sentral which is a really convenient location - you can get the airport express direct to KL Sentral and then walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. The staff are extremely helpful and the hotel is a beautiful and modern design which is very relaxing. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. We did not eat in the hotel as there are too many interesting food options in Kuala Lumpur. Hotel were kind enough to lend me a long HDMI cable so we could watch movies from my PC on the large LCD screen. We got one excellent deal at USD84/night (exclusive of all the taxes) on Agoda. I would definitely stay you again. "

The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Autograph Collection
KL Sentral,Kuala Lumpur - View on map
"We stayed at The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on our way back from Singapore and out to Europe. The hotel was new construction, with a lobby and exterior style reminiscing the colonial times. Very interesting. The room was very spacious, nicely designed with a semi-open concept for the bathroom area. The location was perfect: just off of Central Market and within walking distance to train, and within few minutes driving/walking from KL Sentral. It was perfectly tucked at a corner in the central district yet away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast selection was excellent, and the service staff were great. We stayed at four different hotels in our recent travel to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and back to Kuala Lumpur. The Majestic Hotel was certainly the best of four hotels we stayed at. Will definitely go back to her."

Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
KLCC,Kuala Lumpur - View on map
"I live 200kms south of KL and visit the city on a monthly basis, last week I spent 3 nights in Traders on my own as my husband was in a hospital in the next street! This Hotel is all round chic, so clean, good food and great staff. First class bed linen, important to me! Big bathrooms very well equipped and lots of toiletries of good standard. Everytime we go, and we take all our visiting friends there too, the standard is just beyond expectations. Everyone is impressed. In Traders you are just a short distance from Petronas Twin Towers, they are domiciled at KLCC and you can almost "touch" them from the Club Lounge on the 32nd floor in the Hotel. When the are lite up around 7.00pm the view is spectacular, I never cease to be amazed by it. Walking to KLCC takes about 5 mins in the heat but the Hotel operates a Golf Trolley back and forward to the Centre. This is free of charge and believe me in the searing heat it is just wonderful not to have to walk back, it runs every few minutes. Also the Hotel can be accessed from KLCC by a wonderful walkway so if there is a sudden Moonsoon downpour you are dry, fantastic! You are also very close to lots of other shopping malls, restuarants and the night market. I have lived in other 5 star Hotels in Kuala Lumpur which have been pretty fantastic but for all round service and standard Traders wins everytime. "

Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
Bukit Bintang,Kuala Lumpur - View on map
"the hotel is located in inside, or rather on top of the famous berjaya times square shopping complex, which is located at one of the most strategic tourist destination in the city of kuala lumpur, which is the golden triangle. the hotel is of walking distance to sungei wang plaza, bb plaza, low yat plaza, lot 10 shopping mall, pavillion mall, sephora, fareheitt 88 which are all famously and most visited shopping centres in kuala lumpur. hence, if you are planning to go shopping and enjoying the vibrancy of the city, this is will be the choice of hotel that you can opt for. the hotel itself if greatly maintained, hotel staff are friendly and helpful, we were escorted by the bell boy to carry our luggages to our room. since we were staying on the 23rd floor, the view of the city skyline is superb. the studio suite that we were staying is spacious, with attached kitchenette, bathroom, dining table, extra stereo set with clean and comfortable interior."

Dorsett Kuala Lumpur
Bukit Bintang,Kuala Lumpur - View on map
"This is my second time staying at Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Face some hiccups in booking as we are not aware that the connecting rooms are of different room types. However, Agoda and Dorsett Regency resolve the issues before our trip. Friendly and courteous staff. The staff are efficient in their service when we requested for extra towels, newspaper and tea spoons for the cakes we purchase at their Checkers Café. The rooms are cleaned up well and properly and the young housekeeper always make sure that we have bottled water and clean towels. The food street (carpark convert to make shift stalls at night), mama shop, coffee shop selling noodles and convenience stores are just available a stone throw away. Will re-visit Dorsett Regency again after they revamp the hotel this August."

More about Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and the country's cultural and economic center. Most visitors to the city arrive through Kuala Lumpur International Airport, but the low cost carrier terminal known as Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 is also a popular entry point for those flying with regional carriers. For those traveling through the city on their way somewhere else, there are plenty of hotels near both airports. However, if staying in Kuala Lumpur, there is plenty of accommodation in the city center as well.

Kuala Lumpur is a very modern city with an efficient and inexpensive public transportation system comprised of trains and light rail. The Petronas Towers are one of the most famous attractions in the city. The connecting bridge between the towers provides spectacular views of the city and taking tours to the sky bridge is a popular activity for tourists. Kuala Lumpur Tower also provides an observation deck featuring 360-degree unobstructed views of the city.

The 'Golden Triangle' section of the city comprises several large malls as shopping is a major attraction in Kuala Lumpur. The main shopping streets are Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, and Jalan Imbi.

The city's China Town neighborhood provides a great opportunity to indulge in Chinese and Indian food as the restaurants are inexpensive, authentic, and plentiful. A modern city with a diverse and interesting population, Kuala Lumpur is definitely a place that must be explored.
