Kuantan hotels & accommodations

Pro I came here with my wife during the holiday last week. Actually we booked for deluxe room, around RM128.On arrival,it seems all the deluxe rooms are fully occupied. So we had been offered for Superior Room for the same price In that superior room,no wifi can be detected. Then again we've been offered for Japanese Room for the same price!! The customer servi...

We are so happy stayed with Zenith although just a night. But after this night, we definitely will go back again and again for our upcoming Kuantan Trip. We spot Zenith is our favorite hotel in Kuantan, actually this is the best hotel and service that we had in Malaysia! I love the reception team and operation team, they are so lovely and cooperative! During our stay, we...

Mangala was wonderful for husband and I as we have a hectic schedule in KL City. We stayed over a weekend, also to attend a friend's wedding in Kuantan that Sunday. The rooms are amazing. We basically basked ourselves in the oh-so-very comfy bed, outdoor shower feels, pretending to be yogis at the spacious verandah whilst being greeted by nature's best! Spa time was ...

I understand from my reading this hotel has replaced the former Duta resort at this same location and credit must be given to the management to come out with a modern concept hotel while retaining some chalets of the previous hotel for those who prefer that type of accommodation. I booked the family suite which was spacious and could accommodate 4 people. the bathroom ...

Hotel Cathyana the best hotel in Kuantan. Everything excellent. If we went to kuantan Cathyana is our best choice to stay. So...if you want to stay in harmony with your family Hotel Cathyana is the best place. Happy family and Have a nice dream...😍😍😍

Location - Kuantan Mall located within walking distance just in front of the hotel. The hotel located in between of Kuantan Mall & Kuantan Megamall. Parking - Street parking (marked with yellow box) & basement carpark is provided for hotel guest. But the ramp to the basement is quite steep. Be extra careful if your car is lowered. However there are plenty of car par...

I have stayed here before many years ago. The standard rooms are huge (especially when compared to most new 4-star and 5-star hotels these days). The bathrooms are big with a full size bath and separate shower stall. My only gripe is that they have not refurbished the hotel for many years (everything seems to be the same when I last stayed here over 10 years ago). For ...

The hotel itself has a very good interior design.suitable for large family.affordable price, beautiful private beach got sunrise here don't miss it.you can cook with utensil provided(induction cooker,pot,pan-juz bring ur spoon n jug n mugs)grocery items sold at nearby retail shop.restaurant is not faraway ,u can dine at cherating area.if from kl do not exit at kuantan b...

I really enjoyed my stay at mega view hotel and highly recommend it to fellow travelers. It is probably the best budget hotel in Kuantan. The location is great, in the city center, beautiful river view, room is renovated , nice, clean and beautiful. Staff were helpful. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. It is value for money . I get more value than the money I spen...

It was a great hotel with a fun theme park. I had a great time with my family.the most exiting is the water theme park and night safari with a lot of animal from local and oversea. The room of the hotel also big and comfortable for me and my family. I really had a great and exiting moment with my family at bukit gambng resort kuantan

I came here with doubt. Thought it was a cheap place. Since it is near i planned a short one night stay with my children. I booked at arabian bay base on reviews. When we arrived i was suprised. The hotel is large and the place full of family activies. The room! I loved the view! Tress and trees. I needed the view. The room and toilet is spacious my kids enjoyed runnin...
I was expecting it to at least have a 3 star service. The staff were fine, however, I can assumed that they are understaff since the same person for cleaning & carrying luggage are the same person. We were not informed before hand that the swimming pool for kids is under renovation- I was really disappointed as part of the main reason I choose the venue is because of ...

The rooms given were clean and spacious. Very good value for the money. Only downside is the swimming pool, it seems haven't been maintain regularly. Other than that the stay was nice and would repeat this hotel if i come back to Kuantan. Plus point, their staff were very friendly and helpful.

first impression upon entering my room, it was a really clean and modern concept room. i've tried other boutique hotels in kuantan at similar rates and it was far worse than hotel sentral kuantan. equipped with lcd tv and fair amount of channels, in-room entertainment is good considering the room rates. there's complimentary wifi access as well. room is also spaciou...

Ive been going to kuantan every weeks for this months because i have some work there. And for that every weeks Greenleaf hotel was chosen by me. Im very comfortable with the bedroom.the cleanliness is quite good. And the best thing is every morning there's a housekeeper knock your door to ask for housekeeping , change your towel or your bedsheets. That's what i like ab...

We had difficulties at first while checking in as there is a confusion between agoda and the hotel owner - or else the stay could have been rated 5 stars. The hotel owner have apologized and gave us the infamous mango cheesecake from Kula cakes. We appreciate his kind gesture and effort. The place is overall comfortable, great interior and the swimming pool was nice ...

i am visiting Kuantan with my 2 colleague. We book 3 rooms. This was the best boutique hotel in Kuantan. Awesome hotel design. Lobby lounge concept for guest waiting area. Room are clean and equip with all necessary amenities and facilities. Awesome breakfast set with 5 variety of choice. Staff are superb friendly, especially Linda & Dila. The management should award t...

We're in Kuantan for my cousin's wedding at Jalan Tok Sira. We booked 2 apartments for our parents, 5 siblings with spouses and young kids. My aunts also booked 2 more apartments. I love the security, cleanliness and the pool. There're enough parking spaces for everyone, gated with security-staffs. The pool is okay with a mini playground near it. There's also a ki...

I visited this hotel ever since I was still a student in Kuantan until I'm married and visiting with my husband for a quick holiday. Everything is CLEAN -- the room, floor, bed, toilets, towels (my super priority) and nice. I've never had a problem checking in or a problem with any of the facilities. I'm a frequent late checker-in, and the staff constantly calls to con...

I am staying here one night during my Hari Raya vacation. That is a budget hotel in Kuantan but with a 4 star service. That is not any additional charges due to hot period. Price is cheap but u can get more than your pay. Highly recommend to anyone who going kuantan. thanks

Stayed here for business purpose for 3 days. overall the place has all the amenities and service you would hope for, given the price range. It is cleaner than some hotels I've been to in Kuantan and that's probably because it is new/refurbished. overall good experience!

I loved this resort for many reasons. For the first time in Malaysia, I loved the food in any resort or hotel. Here the food was simply awesome. The Buffet was expensive but has amazingly wide options. Didn't take breakfast here. Beach in front of resort is beautiful and clean. There are a few restaurants around the property. Staff was very polite and so helpful. For t...

Pros, clean and quite, walking distance to beach, free flow of drinks, country side environment. Cons, small size pool, no more pool snooker table, perimeter fencing need to be secured, saw a wild boar hanging around at night within the resort compound.
Cheap places to stay in Kuantan

The location, in front of kuantan city bus stand, matches perfectly to discover the surroundings. Very welcoming staff. Nice option to have a break. Toasts, jelly, tea as breakfast. Clean rooms with a/c. Plenty of services : pharmacy, hawker food market, clinics, shops in the same street. Numerous sites of interest can be visited from the guesthouse using rapid kuantan...

Initially booked for only 1 night, with plans to move to another hotel for the remainder of our stay if this hotel is not satisfying. But after arriving and seeing the room, we decided to extend our stay there for 2 more nights. For the asking price, the room is spacious, clean and everything looks new (maybe because it was only opened in 2013). Car park space will be ...

stayed for 1 night before we rush to our next destination. This is a good place for very short stay. If u are planning to visit kuantan for longer stay at this hotel, you need to take note on their limited parking, busy road during day time and there’s no lift to take you to the upper floor.

might seem a bit distant from downtown, and it is, but kuantan is as much about surroundings as it is about city center. for us it turned out to be an excellent choice. malaysian receptionist seem to be kind by nature, but here they excel. can notice, too, a big effort on having the place clean, not necessarily fancy, but you can feel that they try hard to keep it ...

Basically the hotel is good but not 100% clean. The hotel is located at residential area (double storey terrace house) but within walking distance to shop (7-Eleven, Cafe) and very near to town centre. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. I stayed at lower ground floor next to receptionist and the room has some "mold smelling". I will consider to book this hote...

the hotel have a nice view plus it have full speed internet connection. very suitable for traveler that come for business trip. the location that near to main town(Kuantan) make it my first choice to stay at Kuantan. its near to town, Ikan Bakat Tg Lumpur and Zoo kuantan.

Smell from cigarette always enter our toilet, we didnt smoke. its from another room. already turn on exhaust fan but the smell just wont goes off. One more things, water are always hot. day & night. if left it around 1minute and turn it back on, the water will be cool awhile, and after a couple second, it will turn hot back. Thats so wierd. we didnt on the water heate...

Mr Matthew was very helpful and being very friendly. Our room was clean and nothing to feedback on cleanliness. We will come back again just because of Mr Matthew, with his smile and fantastic customer service and ensure we get the proper service while we staying there. He also recommend us where to visit in kuantan and best food with reasonable price to eat. We really...

Unique platform bed design especially for room with queen mattress. This wooden platform is big and raised high at bed level so that nobody will step on with shoes and dirty it, comfortable for additional mattress to be added. Very recommended for travelers with budget. Location very near to Kuantan city center, parking are ample, the environment is cozy and all basic ...

It's best to have your own transport if you were to travel around Kuantan while staying here. Location wise it's located roughly midway to all nearby tourist attractions, with travelling time upwards of 20 minutes by driving, hence having your own transport is essential. However peaceful area and right next door is a supermarket. If you can pay the supermarket an hour'...

This is definitely a value for money vacation lodging and location is great with easy access to Teluk Chepedak and downtown Kuantan! The only peeve I have is the bed, not firm enough to give you a solid night sleep! Glad to hear from the property owner Mr Tok that he will be changing the mattress soon which is good news indeed!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very comfortable, neat and clean. Check in and check out process too are a breeze. The location if possible should has a signboard leading to it from the main road. Overall a great experience and will surely recommend others to book a stay at Kompo Villa, and will repeat the visit in the future.

I booked for a room for 4 adults and with a reasonable price i able to get a spacious room with a small balcony and a bathroom with bathtub. However, the staff is less systematic where they don't have proper system for their customers. For my case, I am the one who told them the price that I saw on Agoda.com which makes me feel unbelievable. Except for this, overall is...

Pleasant and comfortable!I love the sink and mirror outside the bathroom. Location is great if you know Kuantan area very well.Close to teluk cempedak. Not so close to Kuantan city center(not within walking distance for shopping and sightseeing so having transport is a must). If you have transport than it should be no problem. 10 minutes journey to city center due to mu...

The hotel for me is all in good condition because it was a new hotel. I really impress with the accommodation provided. It not look like a boutique hotel but a can categorize it as a 5 star hotel especially things that provided, not only in the room but also in the bathroom. If a visit Kuantan again, I probably book again this hotel. Keep it up the good performance. Tw...

The hotel location is strategic just in front of Pahang river. Very comfortable, quite place and suitable for couple honeymoon stay. The villa area still new. Very nice place to stay with family and children. The villa is clean and the environment very quiet. Check in and breakfast at Arabian Hotel. The staff is very friendly. I think this is one of the best hotel in Kuantan (at least in the city area). I've stayed a few times at other hotels including a 5 Star hotel (Zxx Hotel). This is my first time at Vistana Hotel and I'm so impressed. Better than the Zxx Hotel. Clean, quiet, good facilities including gym and pool, good breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely going to stay here again wh...

I'm Travelling with 4 small kids (Age 2 to 9 Y) & 2 adult. Room, beds, toilet/ bathroom & kitchen clean. Enough space for kids to play around the room. No problem with the water pressure in the bathroom. Location A bit far from other interesting area, but the beach & Pool is a great place to hang out with the kids & family. Real reviews for hotels
Kuantan used to be a quiet town but thanks to the various universities and education institute, there has been a large influx of people making Kuantan their second home.
Kuantan is a great city to stay. You can find great cheap seafood restaurants at Tanjung Lumpur and go for sightseeing at Teluk Cempedak.
All is good except for the terrible traffic and of course, bauxite mining that turned most of the road to bright orange.
Very serious "Red pollution" around the city, especially near the Kuantan Port. My whole car turn red when entering into this "Red City".
i love to go and buy fresh fis in the morning at pasar borong senangin. u can cheap and fresh seafood here.
Some of the beaches in Kuantan are nice. Sungai Lembing is fine for those nature seekers, the rainbow waterfalls is worth to visit, but need to be physically fit.
A very clean city with clean beaches to offer...especially at Pantai Telok Cempedak...plenty of parking .
Its best to travel in groups at least you can create your own activity and fun at night especially when there is no night life here
good for sightseeing along the kuantan river especially at night and can taste ikan bakar or seafood
Rustic Capital city of Pahang State that has many traditional food worth making the effort to visit and try the great food.
This first impression of Kuantan while driving in from KL was red dust. This is something I don't see in the places I've been to in Malaysia.
It's a small city famous for it's Teluk chempedak and Cherating beaches. Club Med is located in Cherating.
We actually traveling to Kuantan to visit our brother who teaches in UIAM. However, we managed to stay for a few hours at Teluk Cempedak and the kids loves the beach very much
a nice town not too busy with good beach and lot of excursions to be done. cherating beach nearby, so is waterfalls and caves.
Small city but still quite a lot to do for 3 - 4 day stay. :) Nice food and can be relaxing for a few days.
Kuantan have good food. Try to ask the local on the best place to eat and they will happily guide you.
Kuantan the biggest city in East Coast part of peninsula Malaysia. Obviously the liveliest city in East Coast.
Relaxing for just a few nights is acceptable. More than that you might be boring and the only main attraction is nearby to Teluk Chempedak Bay.
There's a wonderful trip when we traveled to Kuantan. We went to Hafiz's Activities Centre and Hafiz brought us to saw fireflies.
many place to go. from the water park in gambang to sun bathing in teluk chempedak. just and have some fun!
Kuantan is one of the closest city from Kuala Lumpur which provide access to the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Stayed in Bukit Gambang drove all the way to Kuantan beach side for seafood dinner by the beach (Pak Su Restaurant - highly recommended - cheap and nice).
Relaxation peaceful place and near to the beach.food prices are cheap and reasonable. But please not to visit during musim tengkujuh, risk of floods.
Quite good place to visit because you can find or looking for foods places, beach, shopping mall and nearest Sungai Pahang as well.
Kuantan is a small town, lots of small restaurants for food and easy drive to the beach, teluk cempadak
Kuantan is a nice place with lots of good food from Chinese, Malay and Indian culture, when you feel tired, you can find a massage or Spa shop anywhere.
There are many places to explore like Teluk Cempedak, near to the beach and many things available over the beach side.
A city that really does not have much to offer. So find a hotel that you can lock yourself and bring a pack of DVDs and cards to play with.
The worth places about Kuantan: 1) The beach, Pantai Balok. One of the best beach in Malaysia. It's windy soundly wave of sea is a place to feel peace.
They have a nice food here, but the price is not cheap, I would say cost of living is quite high here.
