Friendly people. Kolo Mee, laksa, kueh chap, tomato mee/kueh tiaw are typical local foods, must try. To visit 青山岩's temple & having lunch at seafood restaurant is a good choice too.
Nice structured city with its own fantastic culture. Need to rent a car to travel around as the malls and tourist spot are not centralized.
Overall..good place to visit.
Kuching is a peaceful home to multi races and tribes. The city is enriched with interesting histories, cultures and rituals from the people from all walks of life.
Kuching is slow pace in foot steps, but it has a lot of hidden treasures to be explored, e.g. the breathtaking scenery in Bako National Park, visiting long houses, discovering trees which are unexpectedly old, lol... It is definitely not a wise choice if you are planning to shop or to enjoy city sighting, but, Kuching is a heavenly beautiful place for natural appreciators. I think Kuching is definitely a gateway to relax yourself. You can choose to have a relaxing holiday here like enjoying the beaches and sun, try all the delicious local delicacies (must try the fried Sago worms)... to adventurous activities like scuba diving, exploring wild life animals and the rain forest.
Nice city to be explored as Kuching still possess its own authentic culture & uniqueness of the diversity of the people there that are worthy for a trip there
Full of natural resources,is most visit and experience to natural of this wonderful area.good dining and tasty food.
Is truly historical and natural area to more contact and understanding, more attractive is most national park is nearby this city ,good experience.
There's a lot of places to visit in Kuching. A must go place in Kuching is the cat statue, located in the middle main road near Kuching Warerfront, Riverside Majestic Hotel and Hotel Margarita.
If u're lucky, u dont have to wait for a long time to take picture in front of this statue because sometimes there's a lot of tourist waiting in line to take photo. If you are looking for shopping mall, I'd recommend The Spring, CityOne, Plaza Merdeka and Vivacity Megamall.
Kuching itself have multi racial with different religion. You may want to join a trip to explore some long house and live with this tribe for 1 night to experience their living and culture.
Recently there is many new complex set up and the latest was Viva this is 1 of the biggest complex in Kuching with branded product and serve many fast food. A place to visit if you have some shopping to do.
Kuching is not too crowded as a city and yet offers most things you can find in city. A good base and starting point to explore other parts of Sarawak.
Kuching is a very nice place environment and whether is good. Most i like is the local food but not easy to find.
Shopping mall not much.
It's a lively and affordable city to visit. There's a variety of local delicacies and fresh seafood to sample.
The Main Bazaar is my favourite shopping area as I shopped for affordable souvenirs, art work and bird's nests. The city was clean and the people here were helpful. We totally enjoyed our relaxing stay here.
It's has many tourist spots like Cat Museum, Chinese Museum, Cultural Village. It's suitable for those who enjoy culture and nature places.
Kuching is a clean and green city. It can be seen around by walking. Local people are friendly and helpful.
It is one of the most multi-ethnic cities in Malaysia where people blend and get together without bothering what/who you are. Kuching offers a selection of good food (seafood, Chinese food, Malay food and other local delicacies), as well as a touch of history.
keep on eating~~kolo mee, laksa, cha kueh tiao, nyonya kuih, satay, roti canai, and dao peng (cendol), gang bua mee
I love the Cultural Village. A lot of events and activities, especially during the Rainforest Music Festvial.
Do take a look around their wet markets as well. U find lots of stuff you may not see often or even seen before in Singapore.
The national museum is a must go for a summary of their history. Although their labeling needs more effort.
KUCHING IS THE BIGGEST CITY IN SARAWAK. NICE NIGHT VIEW,NICE BEACH,PEACEFUL CITY WITH MANY CULTURE. LOVE KUCHING CAT CITY.
Nice place, nice people, nice foods, nice nature. I like the old street and cultural village. Highly recommended for nature lover.
Adventure trip to long house which take me 5 hours car ride. Amazing life in forest
Not pack as big city, relax and peaceful town. Recommend to visit during July because the rainforest festival and Kuching Festival (Such as night market Which you can have nice foods) will held every July/Aug.
Tourism is booming in this city, I believe it will attract more tourist to visit in future time.

Kuching is a great place for shopping and sightseeing. It is also good for beaches and sun especially at the Damai beach.
Kuching is fun there are a lot of places to go and enjoy. The nightlife is relaxing actually not much of a club goer atmosphere but more to chilling and drinking.
Food is awesome, you have your local food such as laksa, kolok mee, kueh tiaw, and many more. Don't forget to cruise along the waterfront and cross the river with the mini boats. It's just 50 cents. You will enjoy the scenery from the other side. Photography is a must.

kuching actually a lots of place to visit, but one thimhs is maybe transportation will be a bad problem and also some of the location quite far and not easy to get to,hope can improve
I'm from Kuching. It is a safe place. The perfect pace of life.Nature and modern lifestyle, all in 1 place.
Relaxing city if you just want a quick getaway. We rented a car and that is very important to us because we dont have to worry about finding a taxi, or take which bus.
We drove around the city, enjoyed the sightseeing of the old city, small alley way, hidden temple and restaurant. Every corner you turn is a surprise! If you are tired of walking, sit by the waterfront, or a nice little cafe called "the wrong place". Have a nice cup of milo ice or Tuak *(local rice wine)
Kuching is the best place for those who love the nature. It has beautiful forest and beach and much fun activities here.
It is a very laid-back city. The busiest time is early morning where people goes out for breakfast and road-trips.
Beaches, jungle trekking, waterfalls, local food & desserts are the few that one must check it out.
Seafood is the word when you talk about Kuching, normally i'll visit topspot for their seafood. Cheap and fresh but long Q during holidays.
Kuching is a small charming city with a population of about 600,000. The city is growing outwards but the old city center has a charm of its own.
Certainly its far from bustling and it excudes a laid back feel.
