A great place to stay to experience some of the old indonesian experiences. You must catch the local Boom Boom bemo for the experience and the music.
A good stepping stone to see other islands in the area or even a trip up "the hill" to see the old Kampongs and other great views.
one of the best city in East Nusa Tenggara..their local food really delicious. it's called "Daging Se'i" you can taste it if you go to Kupang.
The Se'i are made either from pork or beef. and the taste a bit of smoky

Kupang is located in Timor Island. Try to get a motorcycle / ojek to go anywhere in Kupang as rental of car is expensive.
If you are looking for adventure, then Kupang is the right chioce for you. many beaches and waterfalls, you can get the sea view from the hills/mountains. A must place to visit. Dont forget to buy sasanda, traditional musical tools from Kupang.
The land is rocky, dry with hot weather. However in June, July, August, it would be fair nice whether in the afternoon.
The beaches are great, just that have no or very little facilities.
Taxi is not common in Kupang, alternatively you can try to ride on Ojek, a kind of taxi in form of motorbike.
Kupang is small city with friendly locals, beautiful beach..small city with comfortable and leisurely life.
It's hot temperature will makes you have a lot of sweat,..so bring a lot of clothes from cotton materials, don't forget your sunglasses. Ohh..and don't forget to eat grilled fish with special kupang's seasoning that you would never found in other parts of the world. You can find it in alongside timor raya street
