"I cant comment as we didnt make it to our hotel due to a mix up with our motorcycle taxi driver. We ended up in Kinpun at the Shwe Hinn Thar 'H'otel and as it was getting late and 30 minute drive back we decided to stay there instead which was perhaps a bad decision as the room at the Hotel was mouldy and mosquito ridden, oh well. At least we were closer to golden rock which made our morning easier."

"The quiet resort style accommodations here were clean, wifi worked well, shower had hot water and beds were comfortable. Staff had limited English ability, but it was enough to help travelers understand what they need to do to get up to the famous Kyaiktiyo Pagoda/Golden Rock. They can also help book night bus tickets to other parts of Myanmar (Bagan, Inle Lake, etc.), but make sure you confirm where the bus company will drop you off as there are many bus companies with different pick up/drop off points. Breakfast was very basic, but OK in quality, and I could leave my bag in the room past check-out while I returned from my morning visit to the Golden Rock (left 730am, returned 1215pm), staff let me check-out late and shower before leaving the hotel. Rooms were a little dark, some of the outlets did not work, and there were mosquitoes in the room (it is SE Asia, bring a mosquito net!). 9.6/10 would stay again!!"

"Beautiful accommodation and staff, they could not be more helpful. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the mountain and is a pain on the night. There is nothing surrounding the hotel unless your willing to walk back up the mountain after 6pm as all transportation stops. WiFi is a pain as this is only available in the reception and dining, however the rooms and dinning was super clean and lovely environment."

"What an amazing place!! My room was totally outstanding....hot water in a huge bathroom...a beautiful veranda to sit out on. My bed was really comfortable. A warm welcome from the staff. My breakfast was very fulfilling. .fried rice with fried egg and toast butter and jam with lipton tea! I didnt need to think about good until lunch! The restaurant is so chilled out and designed in such a cool way. Hotel is located just outside of town (10 minute walk from bus drop off). Its also 5 minutes walk from the golden rock truck stop. I had a lovely club sandwich for lunch and an amazing burger and fries for dinner! The big thing about the restaurant which appealed to me was the draft beer!! Just what I needed after a hot day out at the golden rock. The staff were so attentive and arranged my bus trip for my onward journey. The grounds of the hotel are sooo relaxing with trees and gardens and I felt like I was in a resort in the carribean! I would recommend this hotel 100% and I had np problems whatsoever. If your leaving early in the morning for onward travel wear a jersey as its a little bit cold in the mornings. This hotel has the feeling of a family hotel. I was kinda at odds as to what to do after dinner so took a walk and had tea in a tea shop and stumbled across an indoor fun fair called "Smileworld" cheesy but fun with a ferris wheel...dodgems..video games..haunted spooky house! Passed the time. The village has various shops for souvenirs and food and is very close to the hotel. Overall I had an amazing experience at lotus away from the craziness of myanmar. Thanks to all the staff and hope to see you again! "

"The property is on the higway from Yangon to Golden Rock. Many coaches stop by for lunch here. We were coming from Golden Rock and spent the night at the resort. I have no complaint on the room, service and meal apart from the higher prices charged as compared to similar facilities in Mawlamyine where we came from. I suppose this is tourists price and my guide told me.that it is the same price level for the region. "

"Probably one of the best value for money stays I have ever experienced. This is a resort mostly used as a getaway by upper middle class families from Yangon. It is a beautiful peaceful place a bit out of town, with sweeping mountain views. The restaurant serves good, clean and reasonably priced food. The service is impeccable, very high standard. Everything I needed was taken care of seamlessly. The room is actually an entire cabin, equipped with all the conveniences. WiFi, while available, was not fast or reliable; however, this is almost an advantage because I had an excuse not to work! You won't want to with the restaurant, excellent bar and completely spotless infinity pool to enjoy. Don't let the low price fool you. This place is an absolute gem. Book without hesitation! If you contact the hotel in advance they can help tell the bus driver where to let you off. The hotel is about 15km out of town, so you will overshoot it if you take the bus to its terminus."

"The room was very clean and made me wonder for a second that I was actually paying the right price (for the positive side). We requested the hotel to arrange a transportation from Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo via Bago, which was arranged at a decent price. Although we were made to wait at the Airport for about 2 hours for the pick up to show up, with troublesome telephone line which was frustrating. The location of the hotel is great, unless you consider mountain top an essential factor. 2 minutes from the Kyaikhtiyo village by car, right in front of the Truck check point. "
