Lampang City Center,Lampang - View on map
"I've walked and gone everywhere and had very gooood sleep there for 3 nights. Thank you for the front girls staff. They were very kind, professionnal and helpful. They helped me a lot. Thank you so much. The room was clean. it's near the center by 5 minutes by car i think. In Lampang i recommand to rent a scooter to go everywhere. the airport is at 10 minutes by car and the train station at 5 minutes i think. You can go to Chiang Mai by train or bus. it's cheap. I recommend this hotel."

Wienglakor Hotel
Lampang City Center,Lampang - View on map
"Every time I go to Lampang, I always stay at Wienglakor. Why? I'm impressed in the way they keep up their appearance and quality of service. The hotel always looks elegant and peaceful. A place you can sit and relax and rest cozily. Everything is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful. And its location near Central Plaza Lampang is a plus."

Lampang River Lodge (SHA Certified)
Lampang Suburbs,Lampang - View on map
"I love this place. It is unique and cozy along the route to downtown also a good place in between the northward way from Bangkok to Chieng Mai. I took only 10 minutes driving to Pra Tat Lampang Luang, an unseen amazing landmark of Thailand. But you may take longer during the festive seasons (New Year, Songkarn, etc.) Service is excellent although the staff may have very light knowledge about their city. ABF is acceptable but not outstanding. It looks like another planet by night. Not recommending to hang out in rainy season as you have to fight with mosquitos. But if you love unique and cozy place, comfortable, flagship location to a hip county in Lampang. I prefer to recommend this hotel."

Hop Inn Lampang
Lampang City Center,Lampang - View on map
"We stayed 3 nights at Hop Inn Lampang. We were a bit confuse at first since there are 2 Hop Inn hotels in Lampang in a very close proximity of each other. Regardless, the checkin was fast and there was 100 baht deposit for the key. Hair dryer can also be borrowed for 100 baht deposit as well. The room was nice and clean and wifi was fast and good signal. Carparks were spacious and can park many cars. The most downside of the hotel was that on the first night we stayed at the hotel, there were drunk group of people staying on our whole floor and they were very noisy until around 5am!! I did report it to the reception but seems like its impossible to stop those drunk people from being very noisy since they were drunk and all. The second night was nice and quiet tho. Then again, third night (Friday), there was a night event markets so it was very noisy again but only until around midnight which was bearable. Overall, if it wasn't for a very noisy environment, I would love to be back to the hotel again."

More about Lampang

The capital city of the Nakhon Lampang province in northern Thailand, Lampang is a historic city, with archaeological evidence of human settlement in the northern river valleys more than a thousand years ago.

The city is accessible by regular service via air, train, bus, and car from Bangkok and all other major cities in the north, especially Chiang Mai.

Lampang is famous for its old school charm, including the horse-drawn carriages that are all over the streets and serve as replacements for the ubiquitous tuk-tuks found in most other cities in Southeast Asia. The other thing for which Lampang is most famous is its extensive history which dates back to hundreds of years ago, and Ban Sao Nak Museum is a great place in which to explore the historic artifacts and exhibits that tell the history of this region and its people.

Besides Bangkok, Wat Phrakaewdontao, more commonly known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is the only temple with this particular Buddha statue, and has earned its place as a popular destination.

There’s a lot more to see and do in Lampang, and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
