"When selecting the hotel for our vacation in Langkawi i was trying to find a cheap one as my friends really enjoyed theire stay in a cheap 3* hotel and advised not to spend money on hotel. However after studying lots of Langkawi hotels reviews I decided to book Frangipani (deluxe room). Although, in my opinion, it's a little overpriced, I have never regretted my choice. The hotel is really very beautiful and clean. We have travelled around the island and in my opinion Franghipany has the best beach. The hotel staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. "

"The location of the resorts is a perfect place with a serene view of the sea all the time; we had to check in early cos of change in flight timings by airlines however we were accommodated by the hotel staff within an hour. The hotel provides free shuttle service to Cenang mall area for duty free shopping after 2 hours till 9 pm. The rooms were clean and well furnished. The resorts has got very large property with calm atmosphere. The star cruise jetty is within the premise which helps in not wasting time to commute. Most of the tour operators provide free pick-up and drop to the resorts for any kind of package tour. I also chose to use the spa facilities available in the resorts for myself and my wife. Though the rates are much higher as compared to city however hygiene, safety and expertise of the staff can compensate for the price if one considers value of that. In fact, I could not avail the full service on one night which I had paid for as I was very late but to my pleasant surprise, the spa executive offered me to get the full massage completed on the second day without charging for it which is very rare in any of the places. Must give 100 marks for that. The complimentary buffet breakfast has got very large spread (almost a full lunch kind of buffet is provided). The hotel staffs are very attentive and display cheerful disposition all the time. I was also impressed with the fact that the taxi charges in langkawi are fixed which was explained by me a cab driver in very impressive manner. Same holds true whether you book from the airport or from the hotel. It is all same without adding any extra charges. Overall, I would say that it was a perfect holiday for me and my wife and a lot of credit goes to this resort and people there to make it memorable. P.S.: The duty free shops in the city are really cheap in case you want to buy liquor and chocolates; almost less than half rates than any duty free shop at the airports anywhere including KL/Langwaki"

"It is the first time for me and my family members to visit Langkawi. I chose the place personally due to short travel duration as a consideration to my 3 yr old son. I’ve searched so many resorts and Ombak Villa Langkawi has been in my Top 3 list and finally selected it as the place looks peaceful and relaxing with a nice view of garden and the sea..and I was right. Being a nature lover, I always wanted to see greeneries around as much as possible. It has a good view of the sea, nice & windy on the seashore in the afternoon which is best to fly kite. My son enjoyed it so much. Rooms were clean (but maybe would be good to get the headboards cleaned as well as it has that sweaty smell) but overall, the rooms were 8/10...very spacious. We had an early check-in (an hour before) which we really appreciated. Buffet breakfast is just OK.. enough variety to choose from (I like the juices personally). The staffs were very kind and I’d like to give kuddos for having honest staffs as I left my iphone on one of the tables in the reception and was so glad that they kept it and I was able to collect after our day tour. Ombak Villa is close to other 2 resorts...and we had the chance to stroll in the morning around Lagoon Langkawi Resort. Overall, I am very pleased to have stayed here and would highly recommend it to friends. Staffs are really nice as well. "

"We stayed at the Berjaya Langkawi from December 21st - 24th. Dunno why it says submission date is October - it is 27th December today. My first impression was that the hotel was HUGE. However, a buggy service is available 24/7 that takes you to your rooms and back which was very helpful. The staff were all very friendly and they upgraded our room to a king-sized bed instead of a double bed which was very nice. The room itself was very sufficient. Each little hut protrudes from the face of the jungle (or sea if you paid for the waterside chalets) and on first impression looks very basic. However, they put a lot of effort into doing it up and it looks fantastic inside and each hut has a balcony where each morning you can see monkeys swinging around and various tropical birds. It is fully air conditioned and has a power shower so although it is a hut, the interior has the feel of a standard city hotel room with a rustic feel. The only bad things about the hotel was that it is far from Pantai Cenang (the main tourist area) and Kuah (city center) but taxis are easy to come by and cheap as chips. The main spread for breakfast was massive and good and the facilities fantastic. The spa was wonderful, relatively well-priced and had a wonderful set of baths set into the tropical atmosphere. The themed swimming pool and private beach area with volleyball/football/watersport facilities completed the resort feeling. In terms of tour bookings, we assessed all the options from Kuah to Pantai Cenang and the hotel and found a minimal difference in price. Safety was always the first and foremost concern with the hotel and as they weren't tied to individual tour operators, they were able to offer the most balanced recommendation and suitable tour operator (e.g. families with kids etc). All in all, I would highly recommend the Berjaya Langkawi. If I returned I would most certainly book that hotel again."

"So many different hotels in Langkawi and we pop in and have a look. None beats this hotel with its wide white beache. The Hotel puts out many deck chairs and the staff comes around and provide services with towels, or drink orders. The Hotel has a very cosy, relaxing atmosphere. The staff extremely friendly. It is great value for money. The road fronting the hotel has great restaurants and stalls for local breakfasts and meals. The rooms in the hotel are very comfortable, clean. "

"The experience in Aloft was amazing! A little far from central area but grab is easy and cheap to get! Staff were polite and always ready to serve with a smile, walking up to guests asking if they need assistance in anything! The room was big and spacious, with comfy pillows and bed! Toilet was big and very clean! The balcony had an amazing sea view and feels good to just relax and have a meal out there while watching the sunset. The infinity swimming pool was a great place to unwind and chill with a beer, especially the jacuzzi area. We didn’t manage to use the gym but it looks well equipped and well-maintained! They even have a big kids room with programs (origami, cupcake design, etc) everyday to keep the young ones busy! Last but not least, we look forward to breakfast every day! They have a wide variety of food and we were spoilt for choices every day! Thank you Aloft for such a wonderful vacation experience in Langkawi and making this stay the highlight of our trip! THUMBS UP!"
